Honestly The Rays should work out a deal with the Yankees to play at Steinbrenner field until they move into their new digs. Just play exclusively night games.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Similar location, the capacity is about what the Rays pull anyhow. I’m sure that scheduling games could be problematic with the Yankees team that plays there. Only thing is dealing with the weather since it’s not a dome but beggars can’t be choosers.

I really hope they end up playing at Disney. But those evening games will be very hot and rainy. That will be tricky. But playing in Orlando is better than Port Charlotte.
ESPN Wide World Of Sports baseball stadium would be phenomenal, they have the seating, and #WDW is right next door. When big events happen at ESPN WWOS, Disney buses would take people from their DVC resorts to the stadium!
The A's are playing at a Triple-A stadium in Sacramento, not a spring training facility, and will just go by Athletics or A's, they won't have a location in their name.

Hi Adam. Back in 2021, because of COVID, the Toronto Blue Jays played part of the season in Dunden, Buffalo, and then when the teams can cross the Canada - U.S. border, then the Jays played in Toronto.
The solution will be complicated. The stadium is owned by the city and Tropicana Products owns the naming rights. Both would loose revenue if the Rays played at Disney.
I've been reading on twitter that the Rays will more than likely play their home games at the Marlins' domed stadium. The summer weather in Florida is just too horrendous to subject fans to with the stifling humidity plus frequent rainfalls.
For baseball fans its a real shame anytime we lose a stadium that has so much of a teams history in it. Even though we all root for our respective teams as fans of the game its a loss. that ESPN venue makes all the sense for sure. An International Year of content sounds great!

i agree, Wide World of Sports would be perfect outside not having a roof. Glad they got the new stadium deal in order before this happened, or else who knows where they would be moving, maybe permanently.
I read one of the biggest issues with temporary relocation out of FL is the travel schedule for the Rays and visiting teams. Usually they schedule road trips regionally so teams may play the Rays, Marlins, and say Atlanta on a road swing to minimize travel. Having the Rays in say Oakland would present a lot of challenges. Not to mention having to relocate players and team employees and their family's. Fixing the dome doesn't make sense with the cost and the fact that a new stadium is already in development. No easy solution.

What the Rays could do is a Tour of Florida. Play at Minor League stadiums around the state when the minor league team is not using it throughout next season or pay the Yankees to use Steinbrenner Field as the temp Rays home but that would uproot the Tarpon for the year. This whole situation sucks for not only the team but for fans and the league. I will miss going to The Trop when visiting family in Tampa.
I’m guessing this would be a win win for WDW . May even pull people from crowd’s at the parks . Be very cool to go to a game on vacation 🤔 That being said I know nothing about Baseball and I think it would be fun 😊
It would be nice if the Rays could keep their games in Florida next season. I think the one thing that would stop that, especially if you are talking about playing in a fully outdoor facility, is how many rain outs would occur. They couldnt make it up and the end of the season, the expanded playoffs dont allow for many extra games.

A 30 mins video on how a roof was destroyed on a rounders team stadium.
Im looking forward to your international vlogs. Nest of luck to the rays on finding a home.
Speaking of hyped-up squirrels, you remember the *Ray* Stevens song The Mississippi Squirrel Revival. I did a play on one word. 😁😆😇😀
If this is the end of The Trop, glad I got to visit it this year. It’s a cool place. Didn’t the Rays play some games in Puerto Rico at one time?
Did you ever sit in the suites? I cant remember if you did at rays stadium
They should utilize Camping World in Downtown Orlando they could convert that into a stadium.
I was by there yesterday and today since my mom in the hospital and saw the roof all I can say is that sad
All the "Wander issues" per the Wu - yet you still have his bobblehead??. Very challenging
I have his baseball cards also

Looking forward to traveling "with" you 😀😀. 🌸
I’m guessing this would be a win win for WDW . May even pull people from crowd’s at the parks . Be very cool to go to a game on vacation 🤔 That being said I know nothing about Baseball and I think it would be fun 😊
This may be a dumb question, but wouldn't Tropicana Field be covered by insurance to replace the roof?
Shall we consider the possibility that the Trop roof was designed to rip apart like that under high wind situations?
It would be nice if the Rays could keep their games in Florida next season. I think the one thing that would stop that, especially if you are talking about playing in a fully outdoor facility, is how many rain outs would occur. They couldnt make it up and the end of the season, the expanded playoffs dont allow for many extra games.
They should play in Oakland!
I've gone to a minor league baseball game in Sacramento. The River Cats have a very nice ballpark. It's has a lot less seats than an MLB stadium.
