It’s going to be tough to find a place to accommodate the hundreds of Rays fans. Seriously don’t expect your horrible owner to do anything to help the fans considering he puts zero money into the team and just pockets the revenue sharing money. I do feel bad for the stadium employees who rely on games to survive.

There's rumors that the WWoS stadium could be used for the next few years. They could also just rip the roof off Tropicana and use it without a roof but there might be structural issues if they do that. It's also possible they'll just throw tarps over the thing.

The Trop was originally built to try and lure the White Sox from Chicago. It then became a hockey venue when they didn’t get a baseball team after construction. It was then converted back to baseball when they got the Rays.

Thank you for a great show !!
My wife and I are from Orange County, Calif. but saw about a dozen games
at Champions Stadium at WDW for Braves spring training.
    Such a wonderful, fun ballpark.
The ballpark isn't used much now and would be a great home for the Rays.
Centrally located, my only ? would be your summer heat/humidity and
    4pm quick rainstorm's.
Really hope this works out, it would be nostalgic for us to go to a

I know Olympic Stadium up in Montreal where the Expos played before moving to Washington D.C. is still standing and in decent condition. I think that would be a nice place for the Rays to play till their new stadium opens, plus it's also a dome stadium. One outside possibility for a field for the Rays, if they want more capacity, is a football stadium like at UCF. The dodgers did something similar for a year or two when they first moved to LA, they played in the Coliseum where the USC Trojans play football. If I remember hearing correctly it was a very short left field, with a net up and a home run line 30 or 40 feet up the net. Would be…interesting, haha.

Durham and Montreal have already come out and stated they’re not hosting the Rays. The issue with Disney is that the stadium needs some serious work done. If you remember the ST game a year ago, the scoreboard didn’t work and concessions were a mess. Money needs to be poured into it.

Watching the coverage that night. The minute they showed the picture before
they said the name I knew it was Tropicana
Field. And I thought of you. 😱😣
I think financially playing closer like at the
ESPN field. Not just the Team but the Corporate offices wouldn't have to move
a great distance away. I hope it works out
closer. Disney could use the income stream
so no more price hikes at the parks. Maybe
for a little bit.🤷🏼‍♀️ Like you say putting it out there. 😄👍🏼
    Thanks Adam👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I read one of the biggest issues with temporary relocation out of FL is the travel schedule for the Rays and visiting teams. Usually they schedule road trips regionally so teams may play the Rays, Marlins, and say Atlanta on a road swing to minimize travel. Having the Rays in say Oakland would present a lot of challenges. Not to mention having to relocate players and team employees and their family's. Fixing the dome doesn't make sense with the cost and the fact that a new stadium is already in development. No easy solution.

It is still weird that they settled for building a new stadium in St Pete when the main problem for a majority of fans is the drive over the bay takes too long to make daytime games with rush hour traffic when I lived down there. Was hoping they would build over by the Ebor City, that would have been a cool location. Wonder if they'll go to Orlando for the short term next Season?
