Only thing I never could understand about a much feared "bird strike" messing up a jet engine, is why not put a screen on the front of the engine to protect it?? I cant possibly be the first person to have thought of this, esp among airline personnel & engineers. I have yet to find out ANY reason why Boeing, Lear, Grumman, or any other builder WOULDNT protect against "bird strikes" 🤷

I love flying. I flew F4E, Phantom II Fighter jet. Imagine flying at 100ft doing 1460 knots or what the sky looks like at 81,000 feet. James, I could change your mind about flying and give you a ride you'd never forget. By the way, I don't care how much you way and we'd fill it up. 😂😂

What’s really funny about flying. People crack on people living in trailers. They’ll climb in a jumbo jet in a flash. Basically a trailer with wings.
Except trailers have much more space and dont provide harrassment on entry/exit

Somebody listened to the airline safety people talk about how much safer air travel is over automobile accidents, someone asked them what the stats would be if a car held 600 people and it rear ended another car with 600 people in and it fell over a 36,000 foot cliff. The speaker said that would never happen. the guy asked ""Why not", and the room erupted in chuckles as everyone found their way out.
Last comedian that my Daddy ever saw ...asked me who he was , ...he said son , this is the funniest comedian that i ever heard , Daddy just laughed, if Opie raised on deck , he be on drugs .

Just an FYI as a pilot. They request your weight for weight and balance calculations in small planes. They may need people to sit in front vs back. It also helps set a limit on fuel load because of weight. They’re required to have enough fuel plus reserve in case they need to divert to alternate airport anyway. They’re not gonna run out, but damn he is hilarious!
Airplane fuel is about 6.7 lbs/gallon. So if they put in 50 lbs more than they need, the plane would weight about 335 lbs extra. Might not make it to the next gas station.

A big bird hit my truck, took out the windshield. the bird did not fly away, but I get the windshield replaced that day.
We have jet fighters flying over our village in mid wales in the Uk only when it’s not raining and there’s not a lot of crows and seagulls in the air thank god we didn’t have jet fighters in the Battle of Britain ..😂😂

I hit a bird at 55 MPH in a Dodge Van, needless to say that bird lost. I had bird from the middle of the hood, up the windshield, and across the top of the van. It was a mess that i had to stop at a carwash to clean off before i could continue my day
