I see people asking why he had to change the lyrics to Hype Girl from Hype Boy and insinuating that it’s problematic. It’s not that deep! Jun K released this cover on Valentine’s Day and in a tweet, he said it’s a Valentine’s gift to his fans who are mostly women who like men. His cover feels like a serenade like when he gets to the part “I know what you like girl” then looks directly at the camera.
This is his brand of fan service based on what he posts. I’m only a casual fan but I follow him on social media.

The thing about Jun. K that everyone should know is that he is the total musical package. He sings and raps with that uniquely husky voice, dances with graceful and fluid movements, produces beautiful music, commands the stage with his strong presence, performs with high energy, and conceptualizes the stunning artwork of his MVs and albums. He also mentors young and upcoming idols, and does so in a kind and encouraging way. Wrap all those up with a gorgeous exterior and ding ding ding!!! You got a winner. Why he is underrated is beyond me, but I believe his time to shine really bright is yet to come. 💗

Some people just want to excuse something and insult. changing the lyrics or changing gender, this is what many singers have done. I've seen a lot of skilled singers change the song when they cover a song and also what's wrong with him singing for girls?!?! The original song was for boys, what's wrong with a song having both boys and girls versions?!?!

This cover is great, but some people may not like it, either because they like the original song alot or because they don't like jazz and r&b, but the fact that they just say (you shouldn't change the gender & ...) is ridiculous.
