Your positive influence and confidence in Haileys abilities really shines when you encourage her to try something out of her comfort zone....Your popularity really showed, and the kids were thrilled to meet you and get a selfie...nice job Phil.
Your Highland videos ignited the passion for MTB'ing in me a few years back. I never thought I would have the bike or skills to ride there, but I am happy to say I have been able to gain both of them!
yep, when we were in queenstown during NZ summer and all the pro's were there we just said hi and carried on, you can 100% see their emotion be different between us saying hi and people asking for photos etc
I was having the best MTB season ever, finally started clearing my jumps, doing 4-5 feet drops... I was having a blast... until.... until I went to the kids space at Oak near Bromont and OTB on a stupid skinny that broke.... at 5 km/h -> 5 cracked ribs, hurt my back.. haven't ride a bike in almost 2 weeks... starting to FREAK OUT... man I miss riding. Tks for the great video, just jealous right now :)
Always so very cool to watch you ace the trails that I ride too, but at a much lower level. Your speed and pop never ceases to amaze me. And you're such a good sport with the selfie groms. Stay rad, buddy.
To me its just crazy how correctly you know if you will manage a gap/jump, and precisely where you will land 👏 My landing predictions are "anywhere in 15ft radius" 😆
Hey Phil, do you drop your outside foot on any of those berms or do you pretty much keep your feet level the whole time? Coming back from an injury and washing out on a berm is my current fear. Thanks!
In berms where you lean over and there's good support, no because you are resisting the g-forces. In berms that dont have enough support and Im fighting for traction, yes but not always. Its very situation dependent.
@@SkillsWithPhil thank for replying! I just now got smaller blue jumps down pretty good, but coming back from my collarbone injury I’m scared to death of berms.
Ah man come on, you said a couple weeks ago that you could argue with anyone that Bromont was the best park on the east coast and I was there telling everyone about that... 🤣 Kidding ya, I went to Highland and I was suprised you said that about Bromont kwowing how you shred that place!
@SkillsWithPhil agreed and I miss the wall ride. Such a great progression trail. I wish they would add one slightly bigger so there's something between that and hellion
how come ur riding ur sensor and not ur force? also my friend went up there one weekend, chain snapped as he was rolling into the tombstone drop, he tried to stop but skidded off the end a broke his back. Now he can't ride for a while
Highland is pretty smooth all things considered, I like how the short travel bike feels there. When i ride bromont i take the force because its much higher speeds and the extra squish is nice for that.
First time I went to Highland I was wondering why there were so many people from France ... Then remembered French Canadians are a thing, lol Love Thunder, Killington and Creek, but Highland is just different. Maybe cause there's no skiing, love the vibe and there's something for everyone. Even the green trails are fun.
Yeah for us in Quebec, Highland is still legendary for many people since it apparently ( i wasnt biking then) their first proper park experience. Back then we didnt have much else than cross country and secret stuff. So it kinda stayed as a must ride even today.
I would like to try a bike park but i only have 120 mm of travel in the rear so I could not do any jumps or drops without dying for sure. It sad cause I thought I bought a pretty good bike lol. TH-cam had me sold on a Ibis Riply .Just find out it more of a beginner bike then a mountain bike a $3000 mistake for the newbie lol
WHAT! ALMOST A HUNDRED BUCKS! just to ride for a day! screw that! i guess i dont need to get into shape for a sport i literally CAN NOT afford to even practice for. like.... DAMN! I could literally go to a theme park for the same price and not also have a coiuple thousand dollars in equipment to deal with too!
Sick Riding! Always a blast to see your videos, thank you for highlighting some of the community!!
hi highland
Your positive influence and confidence in Haileys abilities really shines when you encourage her to try something out of her comfort zone....Your popularity really showed, and the kids were thrilled to meet you and get a selfie...nice job Phil.
Phil is such an unbelievable rider. He’s giving commentary while hitting jumps, drops. All smooth as glass. Incredible!
Really awesome you take the time to take pics with fellow riders, doing more than you think to keep them stoked to continue on in the sport
The gap master. Making the most insane pulls look so casual.
bone saw warmup lap. legend

Thanks for being such a good sport to the kids Phil. Never know who you may inspire. Did Hailey say she has ptsa from splatterkill?
Oh my god you were absolutely swarmed. I promise if I ever see you I'll leave you alone because that seems exhausting.
Yeah just say hi when you walk past or something 😰
yep, when we were in queenstown during NZ summer and all the pro's were there we just said hi and carried on, you can 100% see their emotion be different between us saying hi and people asking for photos etc
He was behind me on the lift at one point in filming this. I didn't say a word for that reason. We just all want to ride out bikes lol

I think Lunch Lady suffers the most from the GoPro effect. IYKYK, those rolls are no Joke.
The kid in the ski-lift, during airtime @4:54 , "Phil!". So cute :D
Such a cool Down to earth guy! Thanks for everything you do Phil! You’re a real one.
Man that's impressive that jump trail with the spine is open to the public. Always love Phils videos, best way to spend my lunch time.
Man I wish I control of my bike like you do. You inspire me to ride every time I watch
Yeah he’s got amazing bike control.
Always so very cool to watch you ace the trails that I ride too, but at a much lower level. Your speed and pop never ceases to amaze me. And you're such a good sport with the selfie groms. Stay rad, buddy.
this was awesome to watch. Highland is a magical place.
Hailey conquers more rock rolls! Let’s goooo!!
I've been to highland bike park once two years ago. OMG it is fun even for a mid level rider like me.
best mtb video out there so pumped to see you at highland again you never disappoint
Always love when you give Quebec some love ❤️
"I remember my first time on a bike"
He says as he casually rides a trail that I can't ride 😂😂
Some of the features and jumps he hits while casually talking proves he is not even trying. It is insane.
Love ur long format videos man i put them on in the background and chill
You’re such a pro AND a role model for, well basically everyone. 😊 Giving pointers to the young guys how to get the best selfie with you. Spot on! 😁
I don't even know what to say! That was some crazy riding and the scenery is just beautiful!! Don't know how you managed to stay focused haha
Really cool how you give your time to those kids 🤙🏼 so nice to see
I was unaware of that new trail. I know what I will be checking out next time I am up there.
The pop nose bonk manual at 1:29 was so effortless
Always love your videos. 🙏💪
I love this stuff, thanks for posting.
So funny when those kids surrounded Phill.😆That says a lot about him as a person. That day Phill was the VIP of the park :))
Watching bruh. Amazing as always!
Love when you ride highland man! Show us all the gaps !!! 😮
That line to the bridge at the end of Maiden is always just flush and spicy
To me its just crazy how correctly you know if you will manage a gap/jump, and precisely where you will land 👏 My landing predictions are "anywhere in 15ft radius" 😆
Phil's got Skills!
Nice videos. One question. How much travel are you riding in the Sensor? Stock? So 150f 140r?
Yup 150f/140r
Love your content bro keep it up
Your best episode of all time .
Damn, that turned into a real shindig - Hella good fun though!
Sick vid Phil!!!
Love highlands trial system markers
Never been to a bike park, can't wait to plan a trip here
The blind Drops are gnarly
get up skills with phil posted!!!!!!
Sick video! Noticed you filmed in 60fps. Footage looks super smooth. Did you use the max lens mod?
43:22
I waited that long to see how your nose manual down the ramp has progressed…
And it wasn’t even you. 🤦🏼♂️😂😎
I love how much recanition you get you deserve all that appreciation
That looks amazing. I'd love to go there, and have the skill to not soil myself a lot.
There are many trails which i didn't show that are much less intense.
the hip at the bottom of bonesaw is the best hit on the mountain
At 32 minutes, mad respect to Hailey for the Lunch Lady rock roll
YaY! Toiletbowl! havent seen that feature in a few videos from here!
“I don’t have anyone to take a picture with me but can I try a selfie?” Saddest and realest thing I heard all day 4:18
I was there the same day awesome experience
Lol warm up run on Bonesaw just tearing down it at Phil speed…….and then, “a little dry in here”
I live in Allentown Pennsylvania and we have the trexler national preserve park and it has similar features like this place
What Day where you at highland Phil?

Is it too late to ride there this year
Ah man come on, you said a couple weeks ago that you could argue with anyone that Bromont was the best park on the east coast and I was there telling everyone about that... 🤣 Kidding ya, I went to Highland and I was suprised you said that about Bromont kwowing how you shred that place!
Phil needs a "no pictures" sign on him! Everyone was polite and chill but that's gotta get old real quick. He's so good with everyone though.
I really wish they'd add some stuff in that long straight run of cats paw.
I think cats paw is due for a little refresh. Its been mostly unchanged since 2013
@SkillsWithPhil agreed and I miss the wall ride. Such a great progression trail. I wish they would add one slightly bigger so there's something between that and hellion
@@steven7650changing the wall ride to dirt messed up that whole section
You should do a lap following Parkish Co !
Do you have a video of the Burke race you mentioned with those kids early in the video
I do. Burke EWS from 2022 - theres 3 videos, one from practice and 2 from the race.
@@SkillsWithPhilcool thanks do you like burke
how come ur riding ur sensor and not ur force? also my friend went up there one weekend, chain snapped as he was rolling into the tombstone drop, he tried to stop but skidded off the end a broke his back. Now he can't ride for a while
I made a video all about long vs short travel bikes that answers that th-cam.com/video/BpQ-_ONlrAU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UtwWBZqGhimrqoYs
Wow. That is all.
🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🇬🇧
Why do you not use your force when riding bike park laps?
Highland is pretty smooth all things considered, I like how the short travel bike feels there. When i ride bromont i take the force because its much higher speeds and the extra squish is nice for that.

so weird... just saw that UNH girl at the bolton race lol 31:45
I feel bad how often people ask for pictures it seems hella annoying
I would like to try a bike park but i only have 120 mm of travel in the rear so I could not do any jumps or drops without dying for sure. It sad cause I thought I bought a pretty good bike lol.
TH-cam had me sold on a Ibis Riply .Just find out it more of a beginner bike then a mountain bike a $3000 mistake for the newbie lol
Seeing you ride with other very competent riders reinforces how ridiculous Mach Phil is...
Everytime I see the toilet bowl I feel like the speed for it is soooo low.
Guys at 10:58 still there figuring what happened...
#69...excellent video
Many many thanks 🙏
