Quick corrections: 1. I have the bad habit of mispronouncing his last name even though we're good friends. His last name, Lieb is pronounced LEEB, not Lee-eb. 2. This was my second time at a bike park on the Force 29. I took it to Killington once last year but wasn't recording. Because of the pandemic, I stayed away from bike parks last year, but now that things are returning to normal we'll be mixing these videos back in periodically.
The more the merrier Phil ... You could make a 20 minute video riding Highland every week and I'd watch every second. One minor critique though, maybe just try and ride level and not do so many tricks a couple runs so we get a better shot of David.
14:50 and that little segment was some pure poetry man... Homie manualing the berm, then all 3 of you taking different lines off the whale tail hopping around the forest and then back in formation without fault. Super cool to see when riders have good chemistry and awareness with each other! =D
Came to the comments when it hit this part to see if anyone else's mind was blown here lol. I replayed that berm manual like 10 times, shit was beyond fucking sick
My dad introduced me into your videos a few weeks ago and you've inspired me to get into mountain biking myself. Been loving the trails and hope to hit some of these kinds of parks one day.
Sweeeeet. I like the trail building, but watching Phil do his magic on a bike is the best content on TH-cam imo. No one can get me as stoked to get on my bike as Phil.
i often see videos where riders are followed by a camera and its like they get nervous or think they have something to prove and star doing awkward stuff while riding and things like that, but David he is just chill and smoth and shreds down the trail with no problem. love it
David is such a fricking good rider, and an even nicer guy! Got to meet him at Highland after he blew my mind with a backflip tuck no-hander off the redbull ramp. So dope. Hope he wins Crankworx!!
This was a great video to watch as a study break. I’m getting certified as an outdoor emergency care technician to become a bike patroller at my local park over the summer, and it’s a lot of reading. Keep up the bike park content, I’m loving it.
Growing up my family didn’t have a lot of money so I used to ride the mountain trails on my mongoose bmx bike…ate shit and blew more tires than I could possibly count but I learned a lot about riding…I’m 26 now and just bought my first mountain bike after a 10 year hiatus from riding so I’m pretty excited and glad I found your channel
Geez Phil! I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now. Watching you this last year during lockdown I somehow forgot how fast and incredibly skilled you are as a rider! This video was insane! Thanks for the reminder 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Phil, what an awesome video. It was like playing a video game and you did exactly what someone would want to be doing on those trails. Thanks for sharing.
I am speechlessness. You guys ride so amazingly well. The trails are something i can just dream of. Never have I ridden such, and you are like “first time on this trail” i would shit my britches. Amazing
Great content Phil.I rode Highland on June 2nd and 4th and never disappoints.I like it better than the parks in Cali...Snow Summit,Mammoth & Northstar.Best bang for your buck.Keep on ripping!!!
Awesome, great to see you at Highland last Friday. Wanted to ride a trail with you that day. Anyways knew you work to do. Great video with David!!!! Always a pleasure, next time.
Man, some of those transitions with the timber features were nuts! There was one whale tail you jumped off that I thought you were bailing from. But it was so clean back onto the other line. So impressive!
Really enjoy your videos. Great stuff. I have been a roadie all my life and got into mountain biking about 3 years ago and now my road bike is on my trainer. Just purchased a new trek fuel 9.8. Pedal safe
Awesome to see you get some real air time, though I do love the home build vids- happy for you, bro. Love how everyone recognizes you, even with a full face.
That was so Sick! David is one bad Ass smooth rider. So as you are Phil! Great footage I like to watch riders how they whip the bike as I would like to excel more in my whips. Thanks again for the Rad video!🤟
Stupid noob question perhaps but how does this riding differentiate from DH or “trail riding”? Since it was a mountain I had assumed it was DH or trails/bike park.
@@andrer3764 Park riding doesn’t really have one certain type of trail. Usually when you find machine-cut trails, it is at a bike park, but there are tons kinds of trails. There are jumps, tech, and flow, but they are all lift accessible and you don’t have to climb up. That being said, you could take a modern trail bike on most of the stuff at Highland.

Probably mixing up the wheels?
Great shape, great riding, great video.. Skills.. Thanks for that!
It’s great to see you sending it again at bike parks Phil 👊ciao! Gaetano
3. Thanks for playing bikes with you today?
I sometimes forget that you're a beast of a mountain biker after you have done your backyard trails.

Everyone wish David good luck in Crankworx Innsbruck!
Yup, he's in Europe as we speak!
He’s gonna kill it!
I met Johann Potgieter yesterday and he’s also going to Europe
Thank you!!!

Dude this was one of the best videos you’ve put out in some time. Get out there with people, that’s what makes your channel so great.
Hell yeah listening to the stoke makes it so much better

All the giggling at 18:38 is hilarious. Makes my day. Now I wanna go for a ride for sure today.
Good times Phil!!! Come back soon 🙏🏼🙌🏼

Yes more highland content!!!
I love how Phil can follow these pros down the gnarly trails and still be able to send gaps and massive whips while taking to us
Phil watching David nose manual the wooden feature: "That was ridiculous"
Me wathing Phil regular manual the same feature: "That was ridiculous"
Me watching all of it: That is rediculous
You guy’s spelling: ridiculous. 😁

David seems like a super humble awesome guy. I'm an instant fan.
watching these videos while on my stationary bike is quickly becoming one of my favorite things
One of the best videos that explains what riding with friends is all about.
Phil took some lines in between the 12-15 minute marks that were bonkers. He’s gnar. You’re gnarly Phil.
This ride....it's next level...and Phil has noooo problem riding with anyone.

the video is 26 minutes but took me almost an hour to finish as I was hitting back to re-watch every crazy moves. Mind blowing video

About time Phil! BV crew has been checking on the daily for a video. Well worth the wait. Keep up the shred and see you soon.
