Halo McFarlane Action Figure Collection: ODSTs + Spartans + Elites + Grunts + Hunters + Customs

- Hey everyone, hope you enjoy this video clip of my Halo McFarlane action figure collection. I wanted to showcase my current collection as of April 2022. Most are inspired by H2 & H3. Many are customized either with paint, armor and/or helmets.
Growing the collection over time making sure each is complete with armor and weapons has been a passion project of mine for some time. I've slowly accumulated them over 2 years and went to great lengths to make sure I have enough energy swords + appropriate weapons for each. If you collect these, you'll know energy swords are extremely hard to find without being broken. I have a few more weapons stored off camera but those are just extras just in case.
I'm not sure if many would like but I'm considering doing an in-depth video that goes over each figure individually as many are inspired from characters in game. Let me know in the comments if you're interested, it's a lot of work to pull them from the shelf without having them fall over each other so don't want to risk damaging them for a video if no-one cares lol.

From time to time I’ll sell off the stock ones but most of the custom ones I’ve kept. I need to do an updated video because I got a bunch more customs.

Thank you! I picked up a few more since this video and have customized some. I now have a Green Combat, Magenta Combat, Silver/Red Assault, Teal Flight with Assault shoulder armor, and The Arbiter.

Since this video, I've managed to get my hands on a H3 Major Elite (Magenta) as well as customized a Yellow H3 Flight with Teal/Purple color-shifting paint with Assault armor shoulders. I literally don't have anymore shelf space lol

Yeah made it myself, as well as all the other customs. The armor plates are actually cut out from Michelob beer cans, painted, & super glued on.

Thanks haha. I actually don’t display my Jega with my McFarlane ones since it always falls over and knocks my McFarlane ones over.

Nail polish for most, spray paint for some. For nail polish, gotta move fast - dries quick. For spray paint, takes forever due to masking.
@@DanielGonzzzI’m trying to paint one myself would you recommend just nail polish I’m only going over the shoulder pads and helmet, amazing work though man fell in love with that purple combat one
@@deku-_-itadori341 yes just good clean hot water wash, fully dry off, then straight on with nail polish
@@DanielGonzzz thank you so much man it’s really hard to find any videos on tutorials, so for the white combat elite did you just do it in layers until it was fully white or did it just take the 1 layer? Sorry man I’m new to this & you seem like you know what you’re doing
@@deku-_-itadori341 the white is the hardest. I did spray paint for my white ones, about 5 light coats. My metallic bright colors are nail polish

I collection I wish I could try and create. Though it’s currently hard to do now due to the older versions no longer being made, and finding them on eBay or Amazon is cancer due to the insane prices or them being in shitty conditions
If Mcfarlane made better quality figures the halo figures woulda held up a lot better, Mcfarlane releases good sculpts w terrible quality an bad joints. It’s a shame too because the figure were legendary an I owned like 50-60% of them but they all broke because I was a child
@@ItIsTaeee fair enough. Still trying to buy them is horrible due to people charging up to the thousands for one figure, or more.
@@ItIsTaeee as an owner of only McFarlane figures & former owner of Jazwares figures (most all sold), I’d definitely argue the joints in the McFarlane are VASTLY superior. As you can see; my McFarlane Elites are able to hold a variety of poses while ALLLL of my previously owned Jazwares figures literally could not be posed and stay standing without their baseplates. This Jega is actually my 2nd one after the first literally was like a wet noodle. And even then, this Jega still mysteriously has its joints loosen and fall over. Matter of fact besides for this video, I actually do not have my Jega on display with my McFarlane figures since it would always fall and knock over my McFarlane ones. This doesn’t even include the better material, sculpt details or paint applications which McFarlane is on another level versus Jazwares. Just my experience tho.
@@DanielGonzzz I do enjoy the mcfarlane figures a lot I honestly wish I had all of mine, the paint jobs are some of the best for Spartan figures but for me the articulation of those figures wasn’t for me. Honestly if mcfarlane had the same articulation as they do with the dc line I’d be buying them right now. I mostly enjoy the jazware stuff right now because of the scale that allows large vehicles and there’s tons of customizating I’ve been doing. I do agree the jazware joints are loose but it can be fixed wit’s tricks, I’m currently 3D sculpting the halo 2 versions of all the enemies heads along w halo infinite unmasked variants so that’s why I like jazware right now lol I just customize alot.

Anywhere i can find figures like the hunters or the 6inch elites?
Ebay, Mercari or FB Marketplace. Most H3 Elites are expensive, even broken or missing parts. Hunters are VERY expensive, especially when complete with the back spikes which a lot of them have gone missing by now. Best of luck, they're no joke when it comes to pricing nowadays.
Excuse me how do i get those parts for council members and honor guards
Councilors are custom 3D printed helmets, while Honor Guard armor is made out of beer cans.
Would these scale well with the 100Toys master cheif?
Not sure I don't have any 100Toys figures, only McFarlane.
How does these boys look standing next to a Jazwares 6.5” spartan? Are they short by comparison?
I don’t have any but yes they’d all be shorter by about an inch height wise
Wonder if their legs have the same problems as the newer “quality” toys being made.
Not at all, these actually stand on their own without baseplates unlike Jazwares figures. The thin wrists are usually the only delicate areas.

They are custom made, I made them using regular Combat Elites, 3D printed parts & white paint

@@DanielGonzzzdo you have a step by step tutorial on the process of custom painting your figures? Also what kind of paint are you using that wouldn't smudge/smear and or chip/come off by simply just adjusting the figure around every now and then...your work looks good.
how did you make the helmet of the elite councilor?
Had a connection 3D print the helmets, which afterwards took me about 2 hours per helmet to clean up scaffolding, sand, and paint. Had to very careful since the nose cone and side pieces were fragile & could easily break.
