This is a beautiful, beautiful rendition of the chant. No orchestra, no screaming guitar, no violin. Just a choir, highlighting the hope and desperation that ripples throughout the galaxy since The Created War. A trip down memory lane for many, and the mark of a new beginning for others.
This truly hits hard. What starts as a meme very quickly becomes a mirror image of myself while watching this video. The realization of what I'm hearing. The slight smirk that comes across Matthew McConaughey's face as if he just knows...and as we know that this...this is it. This is the game that might just bring it all back for us. Bring us back to the memories - beating the campaign on legendary for the first time. Making THAT ONE STICK on the warthog. Playing it every single day right after school. Making amazing friends playing splitscreen and matchmaking that stuck with us forever. Realizing that we were part of a game...part of a fucking era... that shaped multiplayer shooters and video games FOREVER. We've been waiting a very, very long time for this, and let me tell you... We're fucking ready for it. We're ready for Halo to be back.
Still in shock 343 managed to see the light at the end of the tunnel and take a take step forward by undoing their drastic changes to the game... probably almost forgot they have the license and don’t need to copy their friends homework then rewriting the answers to make it look like your own. Only on this test, cheating is aloud. Just didn’t read the fine print 343 :)

That music 00:42 speaks to you, it's almost as if you're trials and troubles lead here, and it's gonna be okay. Shows how powerful a communicator music can be.
This music is so important to me, while my grandmother was in the hospital during her cancer treatment, halo ce, was the only game keeping me sane. Then halo two, and three. Now, we have halo infinite, the game that I played while she died. I couldn’t be there. But infinite, and all of my friends, and it’s calming music, got me through it. My grandmother was a legend, and I will never forget her. May she Rest In Peace. Everyone have a good day, and remember, keep playing halo.

Real shit, I got drunk, bought (downloaded) this game and I cried hearing this song. I haven’t played this game since 3. Brought me such happy memories from when I was a young lad
What does Halo mean to you? Halo introduced me to the new age of gaming, the age where ANYTHING seemed possible and where EVERYTHING was achieved. I might be exaggerating a little or perhaps I'm being a tad nostalgic. But that's what it means to me. Halo was the beginning of the new era of gaming, especially F.P.S. it set the standard for generations to come.
Trust me, you are not exaggerating. Game franchises like this have changed people's lives like mine, I used to always play call of duty and then I switched to Halo and it was the best decision I made.
I was introduced to games in general w/ halo 3 or reach in my older cousin's 360, curious thing is I only played campaign with my younger cousin. Hits deep nostalgia
I first played Halo CE in 2005, when I was 4. Not many memories from that young, but hiding behind the rock under the waterfall on Halo for the first time, or discovering an unnatural cave formation are deeply ingrained in my permanent memories. I played 2 in '08 and 3 in '09, so it's not an exaggeration to say I grew up with Halo, and although I didn't own any games or consoles until I was 13, I cherished each moment I got to play the games or read the books! it's become such a solid part of my life that I couldn't picture who I'd be without it. MCC being released on PC was amazing, and I'm extremely excited to experience the next stage in this universe I've lived alongside my entire life. Peace out, Spartans.
At the age of 6, I started playing Halo 2. It was the first game I ever played. I got really good at it and it’s been the only game I excel at. I got attached to The Master Chief as my favorite game character. He shared a name with my dad. My dad was a marine. Johns number was 117. I was born the 7th of November. 117. My dads eventually got hardline cables and did a pan party for my birthday and nobody could beat me. Still today I have friends who cannot beat me at halo. I do get my ass kicked though a fair share amount. I don’t see myself as a god at the game. But that’s my connection to halo. My dad was my hero. The master chief was my hero. And it was one of the first things I ever bonded with my dad over.
Bro that would be pretty sick. It would be so sad with this music in it since we’ve been with chief for 20 years now. Not me tho, I was born in 2005 and started playing the entire series at 2010, so 11 years for me
They've finally realized how important the soundtrack of Halo is. It's literally like half of Halo's atmosphere and they've finally hired people who understand Marty's work and honor his unique vision instead of the generic soundtracks we've had since Bungie quit Halo. From all sides, this is shaping up to be the best halo in over a decade and I'm here for it!
@@sirentity465 Generic doesn't necessarily mean bad. It just means that it's not really unique, which it wasn't. Ibthought they weren't really anything special. Just your run-of-the-mill Sci-Fi soundtracks and you're right, they didn't capture that Halo feeling because of this. Halo's soundtracks were always unique and they stood out from other game's. I'm really happy eith Halo Infinite's composers for that reason. They've actually done their homework and they're honoring Marty's work by using and building upon it
They hired the composer of Starbounds music which immediately made me happy because that soundtrack was absolutely amazing. Truly a trustworthy composer for a game like this.
This genuinely has me in the feels. I used to play halo 2 with relatives that are no longer with me and I never thought a video game would be so significant.

20 years ago boy. 20 years ago I was in middle school. 20 years ago I thought I'd be playing with my friends forever. 20 years ago I thought those days would last forever. The sleepless nights of just playing Halo with my friends. And now 20 years later...I find myself playing Halo MCC and Halo 5 campaigns with my two little girls. Yesterday they asked me if I preordered Halo Infinite. I told them we get it with game pass. 20 years ago...the situation I'm in now is nothing that I thought I'd have today...and I gotta say...I wouldn't trade anything for it. The memories from back then to now it's been one hell of a ride Spartans.

Halo Infinite is legitimately the second game I've been truly hyped for in the past half-decade or so. I don't define hype as being excited, I define it as 'I will fight cancer to see it come out'. Something that ACTUALLY PUSHES THROUGH THE DEPRESSION and makes me look forward to the next day. Yes, I looked forward to things like Red dead 2, but it wasn't the same level of WANT. The first was Ace Combat 7, and now I'm well and truly looking forward to Infinite being out. Better not miss, 343.
Son... I'm about to tell you the greatest story I know. A story that's been with me since I was your age. The story of a man, a woman, and a galaxy in need of saving. A story with the most amazing and glorious moments but also some of the saddest and most heart-wrenching losses. This story has stayed with me my entire life and I hope ome day you will experience it with the same enthusiasm and joy that I once did. Come, now. Let me tell you the story of the Master Chief, Cortana, Noble team, and the Rookie
The nostalgia, the childhood, the world i lived in. It's all flooding back. This is the true best game series, and no one can change that. Thank you random youtuber, i shall remember what you've done for me.
Infinite, for me, as someone who's been playing Halo since the beginning, was a great, however small, step in the right direction. Not perfect, a little too short on the campaign but I still loved it. I don't play multiplayer, and I know the multiplayer side of things is still lacking in content though I've heard that's getting better.

It took me a minute into the video for the nostalgia to kick in, as it did I browsed through the comments and I began to realize what a time that was, and how Halo Infinite is a new window that peers into the past.

Same here, I was introduced to FPSs by halo 4!

I wouldn't call halo 4s soundtrack generic it was actually pretty good, it just failed to capture that halo feeling
Shoulda been in there from the start, sucks I’ll probably never redownload it I was beyond hyped
Halo 3 was last game Ive played with my dad in 2008. Soon, he passed away. He got heart attack, and didnt he didnt made it. He was big fan of halo, we live in Poland, so when he bought me first xbox from USA. Nobody in Poland knew what first xbox was (and most of people think 360 was the first console) so I was propably one kid playing halo in this country at the moment. But thanks to my dad, we had best time in coop together. Now Im almost 30 and I miss him every day. RIP tata
