      I thought it was some sort of Cybertronian alt mode that he just kept considering the robot mode doesn't have much on it suggesting a Helicopter one can consider that he's reformatted himself on the fly as much as being an actual helicopter.
      Some thing like this I'd kinda dig is he displayed the kibble in robot mode of what he transformed from and so each time he used a different vehicle mode as his primary his robot mode could shift in appearance too - one can perhaps get that idea from the Hasbro Helicopter Drift toy and the later remould into a Mercedes.

    I have mine on pre-order and after watching your review, I can easily say that I can forgive the restrictions for the head movement, wrist rotation, the thigh pads restricting the range of leg movement and the fact that it is slightly off scale with other 3rd party or MPM figures. By the looks of it, I am sure that MetaGate went through a lot of QC tests and had to make this sacrifice so that they could pull off this lovely black magic transformation. And considering how long we have been waiting for ToyWorld to release their triple changers (Shatter and Dropkick), or at least give us an update about them, I could definitely say that MetaGate did an amazing job. I mean... it is a triple changer. What else could we possibly ask for from MetaGate at this point? Maybe to give us Shatter and Dropkick :))

    Very excited for this guy! My biggest issue is the scale, but this looks so great otherwise that I can overlook it, even if he ends up being a "one off" in scale. While it doesn't bother me, it is weird that they used the face design from the Last Knight instead of his Age of Extinction face design. I honestly don't think the helicopter mode is bad considering everything its doing. It is an AOE design which are notorious for being difficult to do and triple changers usually have a mode that suffers and the designers made the right choice here.

    This figure might be the best translation of live-action transformations to a figure. There are so many moving parts used in the figure but it doesn't look bad imo. You know it looks good when it makes UT La Hire look like a Studio Series figure in comparison. I also don't mind the way the helicopter looks. For all the screen time it got and compared to the Hasbro toy which can't even have both alternate modes on the same toy, I think it looks perfectly fine. 3:47 between the two I actually like Haiku's car mode more - despite my personal preference of the Aventador over the Veyron. Peru Kill's looks ever so slightly off around the wheels (often the one criticism I have for Unique Toys' offerings, which are otherwise near-perfect), but Haiku's here just have flawless proportions, which is made all the more awesome by how it's a triple-changer.

  • @verax6613

    All this needs is 2 partsforming panels to plug into each side of the helicopter's body to fill out/cover all of the gaps, and give it the detail it needs.
    Yes, I know some people wouldn't want any partsforming-- but that's fine because it would be optional. Anyway, I hope the company or another entity decides to make some panels to upgrade this guy's chopper mode with. My figure should be arriving in a couple of weeks. Pretty excited to see this one.

    Super review, he do not scale with other characters like in the movie, but I don't know this figure is such a banger that I don't personally mind it. And consider he is a triple changer I think this Scale fits him pretty well despise not being accurate. °~°

    Hey so I have the figure now, and I think that the heli mode works better if you twist the head around. Also, he doesn't have wrist rotation but the whole forearm can rotate, which is a bit tough but gets him into so many great poses.

  • @Noahs-Interests
    @Noahs-Interests 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    this is definitely gonna be in the top 10 best 3rd party figures, and those *swords* on his back are actually supposed to be the helicopter blades from the movie so its accurate to the movie which would mean they are not swords

  • @zeroakira584
    @zeroakira584 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seriously, he was so cool in the movie I wish they would have just forgotten about Prime and focused more on him and other Autobots. I mean how often do you see a samurai Autobot, a cowboy Autobot and World War 2 style Autobot all roll in one movie.
    Anyway, it is a nice model for an underated character.
