Bridget is the character that got me into this series and MAN am I deep into it now, and she's been my main in game the whole time. Her theme is one of those songs that sounds upbeat but the lyrics in context are actually pretty sad, but as the song progresses, simultaneously with the instrumental increases in complexity you also hear her walk through her problems and by the end you get the resolution to her story, it's one of the best songs in Strive at representing its characters progression and I really love it. Bridget was born as part of a set of twin brothers to aristocrat parents, but the town they lived in had a superstition that twins of the same gender were a bad omen, and as such the only options were to banish or put to death the younger of the two. Obviously not wanting either option, her parents chose to conceal her birth gender and raise Bridget as a girl instead. This made her parents feel guilty though, even though Bridget went so far as to learn the yoyo to show her parents she was happy, they couldn't believe that. So when Bridget was 13 she decided to set out from her home town and try to make a living on her own while presenting as a man, and that's when she found a wanted poster listing a bounty for Dizzy's death, but by the time she reached Hells Forest the incident had already been resolved, but she continued down the road of bounty hunting nonetheless. Her stories in the old games generally revolved around her struggling to figure out how to present masculine, as well as showing off her extreme talent for bounty hunting and her desperation to prove the town wrong, leading to her becoming pretty frugal and stingy but also hard working. She was gone from the series for awhile, not appearing at all in Guilty Gear Xrd but she finally came back in Strive which is set around 5 years after her first appearance, and in that time she became one of the most successful bounty hunters in the world, making enough money to change the townspeoples minds about the superstition. Something was still missing though, she didn't know if she was really happy to live life like this but became afraid to go back after how hard she's worked. She confides in Goldlewis and Ky about this and they help reassure her that only she is responsible for deciding who she is, not anybody else, and even though it still scares her, she feels inspired by Ky's own story of self acceptance and asserts to them that she is in fact a girl, and that's what makes her happy. She was controlled her whole journey by her parents feelings and the townspeoples opinions but now she's free to decide who she is. I was still semi-newly trans when she was announced for Strive, I had known about the game before and even played in an open beta test but seeing her be announced at EVO and then when she was released the next day, seeing people talk about her new identity in Strive it finally pushed me to get the game for her, and that decision definently changed my life. Even after becoming obsessed with practically everything about this series she's still pretty safely my favorite character, top 3 at the lowest, her story is bizarre but it captures the trans experience quite well, and her theme is such an anthem of transness too, and I love the details in her design like how she covers up her hands, arms and shoulders with clothes because those are common sources of dysphoria for trans women, and she also has a ribbon tied around her torso to accentuate the shape of her chest. The symbol on her hoodie also used to be a male symbol in the old games but in Strive it was changed to an androgyne symbol, commonly used to represent trans people. She fights using her yoyos which look like the cylinders of a revolver complete with bullets, and they're reminicent of some components in the weapon that the main character Sol Badguy uses too. She also has a teddy bear named Roger who is possessed by the spirit of a warrior and it can fight with her. I really love Roger he's hilarious, he has a super deep voice and talks rudely and condescendingly to his opponents but acts super cutesy when interacting with Bridget. In gameplay she's on the more mobile side but she also has super far reaching attacks (although her yoyo strings can be hit and it will deal damage to her) and tons of ways to mix the opponent up, she's full of options. She has some of the lowest health and damage outputs in the game though to balance it out, and while she's pretty good up close and that's actually the range where she likes to be in to apply her pressure, she's not as good in that range as some other characters in most situations, she needs to get in on her terms, not the opponents, and that's what those big attacks are for. Something I like about her is that even though she's one of the least connected to the main plot out of all the characters in the series she still has a surprising amount of friendships with them. Potemkin highly respects her combat abilities, she's friends with May and the Jellyfish pirates and she even met and befriended Dizzy during her time with the pirates, and as of Strive she's friends with Goldlewis and Ky too (they've met in the older games but Strive is where they really got to talk and interact). Given how she was already a popular character before Strive tho, and she's only gone up since coming to Strive, I have a feeling they'll probably try to write her into something more important to the main plot lol, she's their main merch seller so it would make sense to. At the end of her story in Strive Ky even invited her to visit him and Dizzy whenever she wanted, and the plot of the upcoming anime is about Ky and Dizzy's wedding being crashed so there's a non-zero chance she shows up there...
More GG! TTiM is a big 180 from Dizzy's theme with the same vocalist nice choice. Recommend Love the Subhuman Self, Symphony, or Extras.

GG music is great but IMO they always seem to be about a minute too long, overstaying their welcome
I would love if they were even longer. I have a severe Daisuke Ishiwari brainrot.
