These are the videos that started Uncle Crispy Productions... one thursday night we brought 2 cameras to a show, the next day the first Uncle Crispy video was edited, and the rest is history. This was one of the last times the band performed at Java Joes without mics. This was also Jason's second show after having recorded his Elektra Album, so some of the songs were still new. It is a classic Java Joe's show, just Jason, Toca & Ian and a coffee shop full of fans!

You how when you see old footage of some performers and see how far they came over the years with their talent? Jason Mraz STARTED there with his talent. He's truly a gift to us. He continues to amaze me every time I see him perform.
If I could go back in time, THIS is where I'd be!
Love this song! Some jerk broke into my car, stole my stereo and CDs including Live at Java Joe's, which is probably the one I miss the most.

before jason was signed, he put out an album called 'live from java joes,' it included all of these recordings. now the same album is called 'live & acoustic.' it's available on amazon and on itunes. the cover has a picture of jason playing air hockey. although i love all of his music, 'live & acoustic' is by far my favorite.
god...this is the jason i miss. before the major record deal. just us and him. telling stories and and playing form his heart. it almost makes me cry watching this :(
yes it does. some has been edited out of the commercial version titled "live," but if you can get your hands on an independent copy, when it was called "live at java joes," you'll find much more storytelling between songs.
