These are the videos that started Uncle Crispy Productions... one thursday night we brought 2 cameras to a show, the next day the first Uncle Crispy video was edited, and the rest is history. This was one of the last times the band performed at Java Joes without mics. This was also Jason's second show after having recorded his Elektra Album, so some of the songs were still new. It is a classic Java Joe's show, just Jason, Toca & Ian and a coffee shop full of fans!

Such an old soul. That's what hit me the most at first, that such a young man could have such a beautiful voice and know how to use it so perfectly AND to be writing songs with such depth. He's walked this earth before.
I'm 24 too and I was just about to say I feel old because I fell in love with Jason Mraz after I saw the Geek in the Pink video!

Saw Mraz in... a long time... ago w/ Toca opening for Gomez in Boulder, CO. Amazing stuff; one of the only artists who doesn't need to be produced and sounds just as good (if not better) live as recorded. Still a fan, even though I'm old and uncool now. These Java Joe's vids are good stuff.
This has to be my absolute favorite song ever written to date. And to see him preform live.... it really is mezmorizing.

@Binniam "sold his soul"...that's the perfect way to describe it...sad to say but i don't think we'll ever see this version of Jason ever again. the backwards cap wearing, Java Joe's loving, 15-20 song playing musician that I discovered at the age of 12. im 20 now, and i still love the bastard, but things just aren't the same anymore :(
I'm so glad that I started listening to Jason Mraz. He is an amazing song writer, guitar player, singer... He is just amazing.
My own guitar skills improved as soon as I started to learn some of his songs, and I got accepted at a music school when I played one of them.
His songs amazes people, and I truly love all of them.

I was introduced to Jasons' music through Coffee House on satalite radia and really liked it. Once I got on youtube and got to hear his other music I knew that I found my favorite artist. Just think, he started out playing in the streets in New York. I wonder how many fat and stupid music producers walked right past him? Thank god someone noticed the brillance in this man. His music has brought beauty back into my life during a real ugly time. His passion trully shows in his music.

I remember the first time I saw the video for "Remedy", I loved it! That was freaking almost seven years ago! I miss the smaller shows that Jason Mraz did, where you could still hang out with him in front of the venue while he danced with the ladies and juggled with Bushwalla, and that wasn't all that long ago!

I know, right!?! That's like, I liked 30 Seconds to Mars before they ever came out with their first album, I've seen them live twice. When their second album came out, they blew up. The first time I saw them live, all the girls were screaming out their radio hit, but when they did their other earlier songs, nobody knew the words. I did, and I was singing loud, haha.
This song is amazing. Jason is amazing, has been, even before he blew up with the "I'm Yours". Music to live by.

Yeah, I have a thing about needing to buy albums in a store too. I feel like when I get songs on iTunes... I'm being cheated or something.
