I got one of these, both bobsleds, the Husky Monkeemobile, and the Man From UNCLE car - with rockets, and when I asked the seller at a car boot sale how much, he looked at me seriously, and said: "It won't be cheap. Ten pounds." Sale of the century.
Some great vintage Husky's, Mike. I particularly like the blue dump truck..the soil in the back is really well done, and it's good that you've left the dust on the cabin, to add even more realism to it. I recently received my first Husky, a Jaguar Fire Chief, from Brian. 👊👨🚒🇦🇺
Great vintage castings. I have two or three Husky cars, one is that Guy Warrior truck in red. They’re rarer than hens teeth here, especially at thrift shops like I find my vintage cars at.
Husky were a division of Corgi/Mettoy. Corgi saw how profitable the Matchbox sized model market was, and wanted in. Husky was phased out, and Corgi Juniors were introduced, using some, not all, the models from the Husky line - Corgi owned the tooling, so why not use it until some new models were produced - and after a year or so, the older Husky models, now marked as Corgi Juniors, started getting 'retired', as spiffy new Corgi Juniors models came along, as it would have been very costly for Mettoy to rework the old tools so that the new 'Whizzwheels' (to keep up with Matchbox' 'Superfast', of course) could be used on the models. Some were altered, but a great many Husky models, especially those that could not easily be reworked into Corgi Juniors, or the advanced, but really rather odd Corgi Rockets, were dropped, never to be seen again. And yes, in the late 1970's and early '80s, Corgi did seem to be rather 'phoning it in'.
Awesome information. Matchbox has always been my main collecting. But I am learning slowly now about corgi. Great rabbit hole to go down. Thank you again.👍👍
I collection there. I'm a huge James Bond fan. Thank you for sharing. That husky is cool. Just a heads up. Look out for the James Bond collection coming out from Mini GT.

In addition, the only place that you could ever find Husky cars, was Woolworths. I wonder if Mettoy had a marketing deal like Airfix did.
Cool casting, just don't get to deep in that rabbit hole
I'll try thanks garyI😆👍
