No no that is quite wrong there, I mean my dog's ugly as fuck, it's some border collie mongrel god's know with what shelter rescue type, but he's wonderful. Happy when you get home, excited for a walk with some frisbee game. I took him in when he was 2 years old or so, just because no one else did for a whole year. I thought it was enough of a cage time for one life time and after 10 years together I can tell you, however cute and beautiful and however wonderful raising a puppy would be giving a life back to a cage doomed dog is far more precious.

I'm currently raising my 5th Chow. He is 6 years old, 27 inches at the withers and weighs 105 lbs. We walk 5 miles a day, everyday. My last Chow Chow lived to 16 years. I hope my current Chow will be around at least that long. Then I hope I have enough left in me to raise another one. 😂😂😂 I just love that puppy stage. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐾🐾🐾🐾

I had a chow for 16 years (she's now deceased) and have volunteered in public animal shelters for years. In my experience, chows are protective rather than aggressive. They do not look for trouble and do not start fights, but react defensively to specific actions by humans or other dogs that they perceive as threatening. They tend to back up rather than lunge forward.
Dogs are like children it's all about how you raise them and socialize them. Most people that talk trash about Chows have never shared their lives with them. 35 years and 7 Chows and I wouldn't want to live in a World without them because no matter how mad your day was they are always waiting to make you smile
I have a Chow Chow called Gucci, dont ask why lol, but she hates men but im a boy so its ok, she is sooo cute and fluffy but doesnt want to go on walks. She loves toys and likes my soft rug

😭 I use to have a chow when I was 2 he was all black and his name was Oso! Such beautiful dogs! They are amazing! Now I have 1 pitbull I rescued and also have an old English bulldog mixed with American bulldog! He was a gift for me after I lost my grandma in 2018. Animals are AMAZING ❤️
