I thought the new assembly with the connections on it went between the valve on the main propane tank and the regulator on the propane tank so that you could connect your 20 lb tank or 30 lb tank as neededor whatever you got so that it would bypass the main tank and still feed the appliances in the RV Plus you can still connect your grill and whatever else. that's how mines hooked up

The "accessory hose" does indeed have a shrader valve in the end to prevent leakage when not connected.

Where did you get the propane fireplace?
I found a flaw/defect in the extend-a-stay hose check valve.
Under low back pressure, propane will leak out the end of the hose.

I have added this system to my travel trailer and now there is no propane flow to the trailer , any advise on a solution to the problem
Too much work why not look under your trailer and find the T and take off the cap on the T and add a propane quick disconnect
