      So you have got rid of the Webber regulator and put adjustable one in think that’s what I am. Seeing as the normal Webber one the flame is very small let me know thank you

      Hello, once you do the conversion how do you control the temperature when using the RV propane?

    Thanks for the video!! I was able to modify my same Firman to run off the trailer quick connect gas hookup using the parts you suggested. Everything went easily because you showed me how. Thanks again!

    thank you so much for this. I was using the regulator and because I have one in line on our rv we had problems with flow. I did not think we could remove it on the weber Q. Subed. nice campground. we are in Utah.

    Perfect timing. I already converted for my RV, but your plan for the 20 lb tank was my need.

    Great video! I was so excited to finally have "Quick Connect" access to my RV's Propane Tank only to be disappointed by the "Ultra Low Flame" on my WeberQ when I tried to grill last weekend. 🤦🏽‍♀ I now realize that I need to remove the regulator on my WeberQ since the quick connect was installed AFTER my RV's Regulator, so it's already "Low Pressure". I've ordered the parts listed below and will try this out on Saturday when they arrive! 🤞🏽I'll post back once I have everything working! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air Brakes! ::: 🚌🚌🚌

      It is nice to use the grill with the RV. Keep in mind that most RV’s have a little lower pressure.

      @@MrFredsDIY I used the affiliate links, but ended up with a slightly different combination of "Hex Bushing", Connector and Quick Connect... but after all was assembled, it works like a charm!!!!!!! THANK YOU!

    Wow. I was about to throw my Webber Q2000 away, because I was tired of the regulator only lasting about 4-6 months then low flame again. Will definitely do this soon. On a 6week trip to the upper west and haven’t been able to use my grill. Will swing by a Lowes or Home Depot and purchase parts to use in n my trip. Thank You!

    Dear Mr. Fred,
    I loved this video as well as one of your other videos: ’Weber Q Flame Problem Fixed!’ I love your style and the clarity of your instructions. That said however, I believe there is an error regarding the various fittings called for here and the previous video. All the fittings you’re using appear to be NPT (National Pipe Taper/Thread) which I believe are correct thread type fittings to use in this application. In your attempt to clarify the fittings used, you showed packages of fittings, which is great, except all the packaged fittings were MIP/FIP which are straight threads not tapered like the ones you actually used. In your list of parts to buy, with links to Amazon, you call for MIP/FIP however the Amazon links you provide are actually NPT (which again, I believe are the correct fittings). So you may want look at this a little closer and make corrections. Thanks for your videos, keep ‘em coming.

    I tried something simpler, I found a hose on Amazon that has an RV quick disconnect (male) on one end and the proper fitting that connects directly to my Weber. I also experienced a low flow issue, not thinking that the Weber also has a built in pressure regulator. So I returned the hose, and without doing more digging I assumed the RV system has a lower pressure system than a typical BBQ grill regulator. Thanks to your video now I realized the obvious, I had two inline regulators (I feel stupid for not seeing it, but satisfied that I learned something). Question, I know you have installed an adjustable regulator on your Weber, but in general, do all fixed regulators produce the same output pressure? It would be good to know, so when it’s time to replace the RV regulator I won’t make another mistake.

      @MrFredsDIY  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for taking the time to comment. I don’t think all fixed regulators are the same. Our camper is lower pressure and I think that is true with most campers. Having that second regulator messes things up.

    Great information I needed. you have any idea then for maybe using the blackstone griddle if this should happen to have the same issue? I just bought my RV, 2024 grand design and wanna use the outdoor cooking system. You're very informative, thank you so much!! subbed!! PS, my grill now is the older table top so now I'm goin to buy a grill like you got!!

    Question ...why does the coupling on your video not look like the coupling in the link?

    Question: is this process the same if I am using the Weber Traveler grill? Thanks for the info. You relaxed my anxiety.

    I made a similar modification to my Q1000 in 2022. While the modified Q1000 functions fine, it is annoying to me that removing the regulator makes my Q1000 structurally weak. Bolted to the grill, the regulator was used securely mount the 1 lb bottles to the grill. With the regulator removed, the control valve and quick connect assembly is pretty flimsy.

    Will this adapter work with the Q2800N +? I tried calling Weber but customer service appears to be overseas and they know nothing. Would like to have the grill but only if I can adapt to LP RV.

    So this works even though the trailer is low pressure and the grill is high pressure?

    • @MrFredsDIY
      @MrFredsDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The grill works with the trailer’s low pressure system because in this configuration the grill has no regulator.

    I have this setup with my Weber Q120 connected to the RV propane system which is fed through a 37mBar (0.5 psi) regulator from a 11kg (22lb) Cylinder.
    However I don’t get great heat in the BBQ and the flame blows out with even the slightest wind.
    Is there any way to get more gas flow to the burner?

    • @MrFredsDIY
      @MrFredsDIY  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I ever find one, I will make a video. It seems like most RVs run on a very low pressure system.
