  • This is an alternative method on how to split or separate the case of the #DT125 / #DT175 engine or any other motorcycle engine. Done without #crankcasesplitter or #crankcasepuller special tools to separate motorcycle crankcases. Turn ON captions for English Sub Titles #casesplitter

    Excellent visual demonstration sir!

      Thank you. It does have English subtitles if you turn on captions. However, the visual demonstration is self explanatory even without the help of spoken language.

    I have split hundreds if not thousands of motorcycle engines, but always had the tools because I worked at a Yamaha/Honda shop. I have never seen reverse engineering as ingenious as your demonstration ! Great ingenuity ! I too understood nothing said verbally, but understood the demonstration perfectly - Great Workmanship !

      Thanks. I mentioned in the video that I will be splitting the case only once in a blue moon so I did not buy a crank splitter tool. Here in Southeast Asia, the road side motorcycle shops will use the big screw driver and hammer to split the cases. My method is somewhat better than that.

      @@DIYPhil It sure is. Because I have been away from the motorcycle shops for over 35 years I was looking for a "clever" way to do it without the tools. Your video helped a LOT ! I have figured out Now how to split my cases with odds and ends in my garage. If I am smart enough to video it as you did, I'll share for sure. Thanks again !.

      Done ! Some brackets from who knows what, some drilling and a universal splitting tool - BAM! It popped open. Thanks again for the ingenuity of thinking outside the BOX ! I have pictures, but no video's and have no idea how to post them here? Thanks again !

      No problem. This method is a lot better than splitting the cases using chisel and big hammer as done by street side shops.

    I bought a $10 piece of flat stock at tractor supply last night with the same intentions and just saw this video. At least I know I’m not off my rocker or out $70 on a case splitter.

    ano po mas easy i-split 2t o 4t engine? o same lang po ba Sir?

    • @DIYPhil
      @DIYPhil  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yung 2T engine mas mahirap ng konti. kasi diba sa 2T selyado yung crank case sa may segunyal, kaya may gasket sealant din dun. saka kadalasan forced fit yung isang bearing sa crank case.
