- We've finally reached the end of the road for our JZ-swapped Volvo 240. It's been a fun project over the past four years but now it's time to wave it goodbye

I’ve just spent the last 12 months on the lounge fighting the big C, to say the Trolvo content has been invaluable would be an understatement. Looking forward to whatever comes next 👌🏼

It really surprises me that the Trovlo content doesn't get as many views as the other cars. It's something very different and it looks hilarious lifting the front wheels tying itself in knots going super fast. It sucks that it will be sold without a driveline, but I do understand why and it's probably the best decision. Godspeed Trolvo!
TROLVO best and most underrated build on carnage so far. Going to be hard to fill the big square shaped void that it will leave behind

Besides turbo taxi, Trolvo is my favourite car so it sucks to see it go but completely understandable. Looking forward to the Lexcen though and future projects.

It is sad to see the Volvo to go, it is my favourite car besides the Turbo taxi, they are both on par with each other. But it is understandable that the trolvo has to move on, I got hooked when you and Bubba did that AU vs. VT challenge. That was cool

Absolutely understand the situation Scotty. The 240 videos on my channel get very little views (which is upsetting, because 90% of my videos are 240 content). It's a shame we'll never get to race these side by side!
It's amazing that they made so many of them, but they get so little love.

It’s been very entertaining and it’s a huge achievement to push basically, a stock chassis Volvo into the mid 9’s with both wheels up ! Don’t part it out ! It doesn’t deserve it !

The Trolvo is my favourite car. The 1.5 JZ is pure genius. Breaking it up is the best policy.
A drag car which lifts both front wheels with stock suspension and no roll cage is as you say sketchy. But you have shown what a good Volvo can do. This is why we Volvo nuts love our boxes on wheels. You're gonna wish you kept the Trolvo when you start on that Lexan.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth but hey, self inflicted.

It is one of your best cars Scotty... It will be sad to see it go... They are great cars the old Sweedish Valiants, built like tanks and tuff as nails... Whoever buys this old girl is going to be very happy with what they have bought... You did an awesome job fixing the old girl up and turning it into something special... Well done everybody.

This was the only car i made sure to watch every episode of, we had a red 240 GL sedan as our family car as a kid so... i'm sad to see it go.
I doubt there will be another car i'll follow as closely as this but i'll keep checking in.

The Lexcen is a complete yawn to me. no interest in really watching it (although I probably still will) The Trolvo is the sort of thing I would build myself (and back in the 90's considered dropping a small block into a 240). I like stuff that is left of centre, so I watched every episode at least once.
I have absolutely loved the Trolvo content. To see both wheels up in the air and consistent 9 second passes was awesome. I've enjoyed it as much as anything else you have done so thanks Scotty and can't wait to see what the next build is.
I like the idea of changing up the cars. I like watching builds that aren't about spending $$$ for a pass that is 0.2 sec 1/4 mile pass quicker. Change over unless its a keeper. Thats what most of us car and bike guys do. Resto, refit, remod and move on. Loving your work Scott. Keep it up. P.s. can't believe the Trollvo isnt getting views. I enjoyed the car.
I'm surprised that it doesn't get the views, it's an epic project. Hell, some of what makes it epic is how ugly the Trolvo is! At the end of the day, doesn't matter the badge it wears, it's the same basic pathway from non running junk pile, to running, then to sorting it and making it quick, as any cheap car anyone picks up to go racing with.
Sad to hear this is the end of the trolvo but a very wise decision to part it out.
It's easy to see the decision didnt come lightly but its very wise not to let it go to someone who may total it and themselves in it. Cant wait for the next few builds. 👍
Hey Scotty & the Street Machine team. It's been awesome watching the Volvo series of videos, to see the progress of it. Hopefully, you can get Turbo Taxi back in action at some stage this year.
I've enjoyed the Trolvo. I also have a 1JZ engine in my Soarer and I enjoyed the left of center boxy Volvo. Shame it needs to be parted out but that's what has to happen.
With that said, I also used to own a 1UZ and keen to see that project evolve.
I love this car, hopefully it stays in the race car family and we get up dates 😁🇭🇲 Ps can't wait to see the new project 😁

You an the trolvo did so well Scotty, the Volvo is my fav jus bcos JZ but props an power to y bro, loves the content. Even jus coping with technology an massive power. Sometimes the older generation can't get past carbies being the way to go lol. Loved seeing JZ stuff especially the 1.5J, 9.5 an awesome effort for the Swedish bread box, those launches! Keen to see whats in store for future 🤙🇦🇺🤙
Damn. This JDM powered Swedish Brick really spoke to me. Growing up with parents that had 4 240s along the years then got into 90s JDM cars this thing really interesting to me, I guess most kids had parents with falcons or commodores so sure, I might be in the minority but making absolute brick volvos fast is just so more hilarious....oh well....
Gutted to hear the Trolvo is going. In a space full of Holdens and Fords it was interesting to see something unique. It is my favourite car.

It's been a fun little project but it's certainly run its course st this point. Better to have loved and lost... looking forward to some fresh inspiration, and regoed makes it so much more better 👌🏻

Scotty, The quick red brick will still live on here on TH-cam as a project that no one would have tackled but you proved the disbelievers wrong. It's a shame you have to sell it as parts.
A lot of people think that building a project is easy & that you have a bottomless pit of cash to build these cars. Most people just see the end product & the majority of the time they think it didn't cost much to build.
My mate (who's a smash repairer) bought a cheap VY S V6 ute & decided to build it for use as a shop car. The ute was stripped back, the body work gone over, pulled out the engine & gearbox to add a bit of flavour to it, retrimmed interior & painted the inside & out. As it was nearly finished & it looked as though it came out of the showroom, a bloke came by to look at it to see if my mate would sell it (this was before covid). He liked what he saw & wanted to buy it for his son as his first car. He offered my mate $4K which my mate was offended but the bloke didn't see the value & hard work gone into it. He showed this bloke how much it owed him & this bloke couldn't believe it. He didn't buy it & my mate to this day still uses it as a work ute. This bloke ended up buying his son a Subaru Outback which ended up in my mate's shop for repairs 3 months later & it was trashed by this blokes son.
If you can for the new build, could you please do the costings of it to give those viewing a good idea how much doing a project vehicle costs. I know you guys get help from your sponsors, but still factor in the costs. People still don't believe how much it costs to do a project.
I'm on my 2nd project ute now & people think that it's a crappy P Plater special. They won't be saying that after when it goes to prep & paint next month.
Scotty, be proud of the work you did on the Trolvo. Hopefully it'll inspire a builder to build a neglected marque into something special.
It's hard to give accurate costs sometimes, and to be honest the cost does get a little scary but you're right in that people thing we have endless budgets to play with that that people don't appreciate how much time and money go into these builds
