Unfortunately the muzzle design for the Challenger and Mirage are slightly different so the ones being designed for the Challenger will not lock on the Mirage.
You are absolutely right! Looks like everything is the same except for Mirage has a shallower rotation track. That's so weird. I'll put a correction on video! Thanks for the heads up!
Minus some questionable construction on the handlen, its a really fun little blaster. My 7 year old has really taken a liking to the form factor, but unfortunately, he is not strong enough to prime it. I'm considering dropping in a weaker spring so he can use it. Now the question is what kind of spring will fit!
Love your videos. My 13yr old and 12 yr old got deep into nerf last Christmas. This has been our new family "thing". Really like your perspective as it mirrors our mostly. Thanks!
That's great to hear! Nerf is a great family sport and depending on how deep you want to go there lessons in, team work, strategy, engineering, and so many more skills that many kids nowadays miss out on. Thanks for the support!
@DOUBLEPUNCHPRONERFER to be honest I was shocked that our Meijer had them, they are usually way behind on new releases (months in some cases). I would be shocked if walmart doesn't get it on the shelf before the end of the weekend.
It's great when Nerf makes cool things. Even if it's something we personally don't "need" but other foam flingers out there might. Thanks for watching!
I think the blaster needs some after market ammo storage with the breech loading. I drew a 4 round lower rail storage, a 4-6 round upper rail storage. I like leaving the side rails for accessories. Maybe my buddy will take my designs and make some 3D prints.
I definitely agree with the quality. There has been a few misteps taken with this release. As for styling, that's more on a personal taste level. Every blaster style they come up with, isn't going to be at the top of everyone's list. Personally I was not a fan of the blue/yellow rival blasters, even up to the pilot. (That's why I painted mine) but there is definitely something about these last two releases that has me starting to warm up to the style. Thanks for watching!

The muzzle that Paperskeleton3D designed for Challenger works on my Mirage.
damn... no n strike barrel lug
You're early! I've been looking for this thing! 😂

Where did you find it at Ive been looking all over for one
I picked mine up at Meijer.
@@backyardfoam I'm still waiting for mine to ship from entertainment earth but Walmart should've had them by now but they don't

Find mine at Meijer. Meijer has had the price tags on shelves for almost three weeks now in Indiana and Ohio.
@@Andygriff1975 Michigan doesn't yet but if Indiana does it won't be long for Michigan to get them
OMG! IT HAS SLAMFIRE TOO!?🤯
BLAMFIRE
17:45 Why did you say not to dry-fire? Would that affect the blaster’s performance?…It does have an air restrictor right?
I usually error on the safe side and try to not dry fire unless I absolutely have no other choice
@@backyardfoam Ok got it…👍🏽
Thank you for the video! Weird how the mag for the challenger is not compatible 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah I find that super confusing.
When are we able to get it
It's on Meijer store shelves now. Unfortunately that's the only one at this point that has stock.
Did you mod your old nerf rival magazine to make mirage accept the old rival magazines?
I did not have to mod them. They do, however, go in backward, which took some getting used to.
Cool blaster. I don’t need one. But I’m glad Nerf is still making Rival. The Pilot is the only Rival I’ve bought in years.

For a $20 rival that looks pretty sick (and hopefully hits a good 90-100 fps) it’s a pretty cool blaster.
It feels like mid to high 90s!
Thank God. Old mags work! 🙏🙏👏👏
I know right!
I really wanna make this an inline clip.

The breach loading is by far my favorite thing about this blaster!
wow basically just a mag fed kronos lol noice
Pretty much. I'm looking forward to opening one up and seeing what upgrades are possible. Thanks for the support!
That blaster is REALLY tiny! Almost pistol size
I know right! I didn't quite realize how small it was until it was out of the box! Thanks for the support!
To bad the styling and the quality are not old rival level. They would have had a hit, but now they have a mediocre product.
