Cool video in one of my favorite areas in the sim, near Milford Sound, NZ. Looks more amazing now. Happy to learn that Weather Preset Pro works in 2024 (and the camping one too). I have a 2020 addon for Quintin Lodge and I’ve struggled getting into that strip. I think the Norden will replace my beloved XCub for many flights. Great slow speed performance. Thanks!
@ my 2024 runway textures are good, I have the texture addon 2020… they look about the same. You do leave skid marks and wear tires in 2024 if you brake hard or turn hard
Early reports by some were that they did not feel the graphics were any better, but they were flying in cities with photogrametry. When I fly elsewhere, and especially when there are clouds and rain, the graphics are quite stunning. Now I do have a higher end system, (13900KF and 4080) so can run Ultra, but even with high end hardward, I have to back off a bit on the LOD sliders to avoid stuttering because as before, the CPU still seems to be the limiting factor. My advice to people with lower end systems is to upgrade to the fastest CPU your motherboard can support.
I run the same CPU (K ver.) and two 4090s for my Unreal Engine unit, so I may revisit FS with this new version. UE has moved further away from reliance on LODs and embraced their procedural generation based on their Nanite technology. UE's Metahuman (not from META) tools could sure help the avatars in FS, using your face and smartphone mocap facial animation, with speech-to-speech dialog, in real-time.
sounds like my 12900K is going to struggle, even with 4090? I'll see if my Z690 mobo is suited for 13900K or if it's best to go to the Z790? Any suggestions?
@@dabneyoffermein595 If you are not running an XMP memory, you may see a meaningful improvement in performance by going to one. Even on MSFS 2020, I used to have issues running a 13900KF. I would get a lot of stuttering when I would fly faster aircraft at approach level alittues in busy airports. My memory was rated as 5200 mhz and had a CL of 38, but I did not realize that I needed enable XMP to get it to run at that speed (Many gaming systems come with XMP ready memeory, but don't enable XMP because it is not supported by Intel). When I enabled it, and then selected an XMP profile, the stutters decreased dramatically. When the speck for 2024 came out, I rushed in and bought 64 GB of memory, but this time, I went with a 6000mhz CL 30 memory. (If you don't know, and I didn't know before I did my research, the CL is the lantency of the memory, and the faster the CL, the less latency there is, which means it can write or retrive data faster than a chip with a slower CL.) When I went from the 5200 CL 38 to the 6000mhz CL 30, I went from an ocassional stutter to almost no stutters! Now the frame rates did not go up all that much, but the 1% lows improved dramatically. I think the 1% lows occur when the CPU has to wait a couple of cycles on the RAM to complete a request. Anyway, for years, I tried all of the setting that people would recommend for the graphics cards, and nothing really changed that much with respect to the stutters, and the frame rates really did not change all that much. Nothing I did made as much difference to my own system as using faster memory did. Overclocking memory using XMP is much safer than overclocking a process or a GPU. If your memory is slow, and your system supports XMP, you may find that just using faster RAM may help your sim become much smoother. (Note. Turn on the Task Manager and go to performence. Check the processor speed and the memory speed. If the memory speed is less than the processor speed, you may benefit from faster memory. Nex, using the developer tool in MSFS 2020, start the FPS counter and watch the top graph. Seeing an ocassional red spike is normal, but if you are having bad stutters and you see several cycles togetehr that are red, these are when you get your stutters, and I beleive this is when the CPU is waiting on the RAM. When I had the memory running at 4800mhz, which is what the motherboard allowed when XMP was not enabled, I would see these multiple consecutive red bars often. When I enabled XMP (and remember, my memory was 5200, but was only running at 4800) those multiple red bars togeteher dropped considerably, and when I went to 6000 CL 30, they just about disappeared. If I were you, I would look hard at the memory of hte system. You might see some meaingiful benefit by upgraded your RAM. I don't think you would need to go much faster than the CPU because the memory can become unstable based on the motherboard, and I don't want to go into motherboard design near, but the point is the fastest memory you can get may not be the best, but you do want to go faster than the processor or faster than the mother board defaul. )
@@tedtedsen269 that shouldn't be the case, almost 100% of the time it's the CPU , what is your CPU? Is your 4070 overclocked? Look at your Cores and report what each of your cores is showing as load. Graphics still seem over saturated and kind of fake. Wonder if the Map modifier that allows Bing Maps textures for the ground works with 24? Much more realistic terrain. Kind of disappointed MSFS24 didn't fix that
I find the graphics of MSFS2024 just cheesy looking at times. MSFS2020 looks better at times also when it comes to graphics. So far MSFS2024 been a hit and miss for me at the moment. VR is still janky with both versions of the simulator.
Maybe it's just me but I think the graphics looks like shit, all the texture on ground are flat, the mountain areas are stretched. and the trees are all the generic trees we saw on FS2020, reflection yea ok it might be good but other than that it's ugly, it isn't a reflection game it's a world game, and the world looks bad mostly.
MSFS2024 is an utter bug-ridden disgrace. From the disastrous launch, when they should have known about server loads, to the hundreds and hundreds of bugs in the program. Airports missing terminals, entire airports missing, airborne jetways, aircraft with wings missing, avatars hanging upside down out of flying aircraft, blurry terrain, CTDs etc etc. It's pathetic and what's infuriating is Jorg's utter denial of that reality. They rushed it out and they knew it wasn't ready. It's going to take a full year before it's even close to fixed. If you're wondering who the beta testers are, it's the people who bought this joke of a program. I got a refund as I won't reward their incompetence.
Where's the girls ?? Can you pick up ? And why no people are you the only person in the sim in the world? Why didn't they add human gathering people walking round

@ some of my missions, the airfiled is underwater lol or the pilot character is half body out of the plane
@@MasterCamus lol...fun!
for plp that don't have 4000 series for Frame Generation here is a file in this address th-cam.com/video/zAR46kpFXmQ/w-d-xo.html works for me i was getting 40 to 50 frames on my 3090 now im getting 90 to 120 fps, try it just to files on your game folder and your done! enjoy
Eco credits coming in real life jajaja beware of that... you will own nothing and be happy
You need a VR headset
Got one...Reverb G2 but having issues getting it to look good AND run smoothly
Framegeneration in VR would not be very pleasant due to the added latency.
the price is very high.
@@heklik depends how much you ‘play’
I wish they would train an AI to upscale all of those textures and geometry... shouldnt be that hard to generate training data for that...
Graphics still seem over saturated and kind of fake. Wonder if the Map modifier that allows Bing Maps textures for the ground works with 24? Much more realistic terrain. Kind of disappointed MSFS24 didn't fix that
I definitely know what you mean. I tweak it on my monitor and Nvidia Overlay, got it looking much nicer
Clouds still look like dirty mash potatoes.
@@Mauleflyer100rv hmmm, potatoes
I find the graphics of MSFS2024 just cheesy looking at times. MSFS2020 looks better at times also when it comes to graphics. So far MSFS2024 been a hit and miss for me at the moment. VR is still janky with both versions of the simulator.
This is just an add on video...God settings - Spend more money.
No addons used...
FS2020 had better GFX
What does ll that bs have to do with Simulating Flight? If I want to go camping, I’ll go camping. Why did they waste all this energy on this stuff.
At least use a 4090 if you're going for 'God Tier' 🤦♂
@@jorisbonson386 ….dear Santa 🎅
Looks pretty awful at 1440p.........Grab a 4k OLED and then you're jaw will drop.
I have a large OLED Gaming TV that I tried it on. It does look amazing but my poor 3080 can't handle it
MSFS2024 is an utter bug-ridden disgrace.
👌👍👍👍
You’re still crying about this?
@@otal0721 No, I'm still happy with MSFS2020 and DCSworld😊 No need for a Downloadsimulator...😉
@@speedbird8326 not had any of these issues…luck of the draw I guess
@@otal0721you bought bf2042 and likes it I bet
Meh .. go fly a real plane .. the graphics are much better
Eco Credits no thank you that is garbage
Where's the girls ?? Can you pick up ?
And why no people are you the only person in the sim in the world?
Why didn't they add human gathering people walking round
@@jerryspiteri68 there is no NPC’s apart from airport ground staff. However, multiplayer is cool
In real life, with that weather and those mountains you'd be vomiting or your airframe would be breakup apart. Or both.
@@NadimAJ good job it’s a sim 🤭
