In MW2, you have Russia literally invading the United States because they "hacked" a UAV? 😂 The only ways to invade the US are through Canada, through Mexico, or through the sea. If China, Russia, and the rest of the NATO combined to try and breach the US Navy, they still wouldn't. And not because Russia "decrypted vulnerabilities in the US military" lmfao. The rest of MW2 is the equivalent of a Michael Bay Transformers movie. And let's not even go into MW3. Don't let nostalgia blind you. Black Ops had an infinitely better campaign and storyline

The original No Russian was so memorable and iconic was because you were attacking defenseless civilians and the player felt no conviction for what they were doing. Here you play as the hero and only take life because you have no choice. They should have had you play as Makarov or one of his goons and have the POV character actually detonate the bomb.
An interesting fact, you had no free will on shooting part in the original mw2!! Deciding not shooting would lead to mission failure. This makes the og no Russian even more disturbing. You had free will in the remastered though.
If he's not taken down you're just held by him while a bunch of awkward npc shooting occurs. The flashbang then pops out and the same old makarov bomb scene happens.

In this game the mission is passenger but the post credtis scene on mw2 jsut go all the way to say no russian this was a deliver tactic to get people hyp about no russian just to dissapoint which is even worse the couold just avoid the no rusian and it will be fine

I like to see it in a way that switches your POV from the original where you were a terrorist,now you’re a civilian. Also the hopeless feeling of knowing you can’t change anything in this mission is something realistically dark.

This is so dark. Forcing a former soldier to be an involuntary suicide bomber on an active plane can escape from. Makarov is truly diabolical. Doesn’t even need to lift a finger here.
they could've done it where Makarov forced an Urzikstan or ULF solider to hijack and destroy the plane. After the plane is destroyed, they find out a ULF soldier was involved and causes Russia to go to war with them.
I remember the original no Russian receiving backlash for making a playable war crime the fact that they still did something even toned down not half bad
I've already completed the campaign and only this mission, the mission from the show and one more mission do a great job, but unfortunately 80% of this game is fucking Warzone in singleplayer!!
i kinda like the concept, but im not sure it was the right direction here. Kinda think a breath of the wild with warzone features and some of the crafting features from the alone mission in mw2 would be a cool mix for a side campaign. maybe co-op?

If they had done it, for example, like in mw 2.0, i.e. beating the base of our Mexican companion, or from different perspectives, it would have been better. And so it turned out terribly dull and sexless.
Bruh why couldn't we actually do something to try to stop the Markov as samara or at least be one of the air marshall and fight against the terrorists or fight as one of terrorists but get shot before we have a change of heart. I'm so disappointed in this cut scene

Notice how the controversy around is this game is about how bad it is and not due to it being "shocking" like the OG MW2? Yeah, you fucked up, Activision. Big time.
The whole point of the phrase "no Russian" was him reminding everyone that they couldnt speak Russian. They were trying to frame this on the West, it wouldn't be effective if they spoke Russian. Then, here, he tries to frame it on a woman who's supposedly "inspired by Urzikstani extremists," and then proceeds to speak Russian, even after telling us it's No Russian making a return. Clearly, something went wrong with the writing.
Compare this to the OG MW2 No Russian campaign, the OG MW3 London attack, the MW2019 Piccadilly attack / the Embassy attack and the MW2022 Shadow Company slaughtering Las Almas civillians; this one feels so watered down
I still prefer the shooting in the og timeline, but a suicide bombing is a nice inversion from MW 2019. So far the tone for MW 2023 seems more solid. Guess I’ll have to wait for all the cutscenes to be upload.

I felt an emotions that doesnt exist when she was thrown to the passengers with the bomb and gun, slowly getting up and all the passengers did the same as well. Was hoping this was going to start a world war like in the original trilogy he knew the person was American that's why he used him said no Russian and killed him and left his body so people think that group was all Americans then it sparks a word war. Not this. That's what the original Makarov wanted war with the West. This Makarov wants war with some small Middle Eastern country, which makes no sense
Honestly, this approach could've been cool if we tried to fight as many as we could as her BEFORE being overwhelmed and THEN that happens, maybe even try to jump out of the plane or something before being lobbed back in
I remember when Russian authorities said that they will blacklist MW3 2023 if it features another genocide on Russians, just as they did on original MW2 and MW2019.
This mission really got me excited. The second we had the bomb strapped to our chest I was like "This is it! This is the No Russian remake we've wanted!" and then right after I realized a major flaw. Makarov gave us a backpack with a bomb. He didn't tie it down, he didn't use some weird techy device where if we take off the backpack, we die. We 100% could've just ran back to the cabin, thrown the bomb out the door, and just been done with it. I remember as soon as the black screen occured I said "Wait, why didn't we just rip the bomb off and throw it out the plan?" I feel so bad for Sledgehammer cause they wanted to do a Modern Warfare spinoff, but instead we got... this
Am I the only one that actually likes this no Russian mission, sure it may just be a really long cutscene but it truly is just as horrifying as the original which I love
it being a really long cutscene is the problem, the point of cool moments in video games is that you play them out yourself. Also it's nowhere near as terrifying seeing a flash of white and the game telling you that "bad thing happened" as it is being forced to watch and participate with your "teammates" mowing down hundreds of innocent people with LMGs.

The whole point of the phrase "no Russian" was him reminding everyone that they couldnt speak Russian. They were trying to frame this on the West, it wouldn't be effective if they spoke Russian.
Then, here, he tries to frame it on a woman who's supposedly "inspired by Urzikstani extremists," and then proceeds to speak Russian, even after telling us it's No Russian making a return.
Clearly, something went wrong with the writing.

Compare this to the OG MW2 No Russian campaign, the OG MW3 London attack, the MW2019 Piccadilly attack / the Embassy attack and the MW2022 Shadow Company slaughtering Las Almas civillians; this one feels so watered down
I still prefer the shooting in the og timeline, but a suicide bombing is a nice inversion from MW 2019. So far the tone for MW 2023 seems more solid. Guess I’ll have to wait for all the cutscenes to be upload.

Was hoping this was going to start a world war like in the original trilogy he knew the person was American that's why he used him said no Russian and killed him and left his body so people think that group was all Americans then it sparks a word war. Not this. That's what the original Makarov wanted war with the West. This Makarov wants war with some small Middle Eastern country, which makes no sense

This mission really got me excited. The second we had the bomb strapped to our chest I was like "This is it! This is the No Russian remake we've wanted!" and then right after I realized a major flaw.
Makarov gave us a backpack with a bomb. He didn't tie it down, he didn't use some weird techy device where if we take off the backpack, we die. We 100% could've just ran back to the cabin, thrown the bomb out the door, and just been done with it.
I remember as soon as the black screen occured I said "Wait, why didn't we just rip the bomb off and throw it out the plan?" I feel so bad for Sledgehammer cause they wanted to do a Modern Warfare spinoff, but instead we got... this
All they did was take the original No Russian mission and turn it into a glorified cutscene that looks like it was written by Dhar Mann

Am I the only one that actually likes this no Russian mission, sure it may just be a really long cutscene but it truly is just as horrifying as the original which I love
it being a really long cutscene is the problem, the point of cool moments in video games is that you play them out yourself. Also it's nowhere near as terrifying seeing a flash of white and the game telling you that "bad thing happened" as it is being forced to watch and participate with your "teammates" mowing down hundreds of innocent people with LMGs.

For everyone complaining that it isn’t a remake of the OG No Russian it’s because activision isn’t allowed to make a game with full terrorist type stuff such as the OG mission anymore because of legal reasons so this is the only option that they probably had
