My glorious friends, thank you for joining us today as we showcase more of our caravan systems! Please remember as we continue our development towards Alpha Two, art and performance will continue to improve, specifically around character models, vfx and ui. Your feedback is paramount. How did you enjoy the caravan system shown today, the PvP and water transition. Join us in discord or on the forums and leave your thoughts. Much love!❤️
I love the caravan system and the animation team is awesome. I love that you guys have fun testing everything out too, if you don't enjoy your own game what's the point right?
How many usable abilities are there in the active slots? I think it is better to not have too much
@@ctm1328 Firstly, that's an unsupported claim, and secondly, the tetris inventory system adds depth to gathering. I've played MMO's with that mechanic, and it was fun and led to creating a healthy gameplay loop. Besides, it's only for resources.
By the way, leaving comments like that just because you don't like a certain mechanic is counterproductive and makes you look a bit silly.
Dont play it, go play WoW or Fortnite. We don't need ppl like you in this MMO@@ctm1328
So, as I'm watching the new Dev update, I'm excited to see the caravan will convert to a raft, and I can't help but think to myself, "man wouldn't it be cool if we had canoes?" but not your standard water or land mount, a kind of niche mount.
Think about this, (Hypothetical numbers).
A land mount goes 100% speed, and you can go anywhere on land.
A water mount goes 100% speed, and you can go anywhere on the water.
But what if we had canoes, that could only go on rivers and auto dismount in the ocean that could only travel the direction of the river, but the speed of them was like 200%. Can you just imagine seeing players actually going up and down streams and rivers? I feel like this would make the world feel more alive. Again, its niche, it isn't necessary. But it would bring an aspect to this already amazing looking MMO that no other has to my knowledge. It would bring meaning to the concept and creation artists to channeling the flow of water of zones and not just for aesthetics, but mechanics. It also could possibly open up new lore avenues or exploration, maybe you can't cross the rapids into a cave without a canoe?
I wish the caravan had one or two free seats to ride on, so if you were on a long trip, a party member or two could afk in the seat if they needed to go the bathroom or something so the whole caravan didn't have to stop or leave someone behind. Maybe they could sit on the top or back or something?
The raft looked so fun!
Thats an awesome idea, i really hope they do this
that's perfect
THIS IS HOW YOU START THE YEAR!
With a banger. 😎
Heck yeah!
Can't wait to see how these systems further develope. Especially loved the water caravan. Was cool to be in this test thanks Intrepid !
can we get long range boats?
@@CrachuaGaming I hope so ! At leaat we have big gallion ships 👀
Even at its bare bones you can just see this game will be fun.
Few questions and suggestions:
1. Water current is a neat thing, but will there be air current? Will that affect sea traversal? How will weather conditions affect water traversal? Will we see giant waves on the open sea?
2. Water shaders were so good for this showcase. Will there be different ones depending on body of water?
3. Ball of Lightning sticks out like a sore thumb in massive pvp. Remove the outer ball part, leave the ball in the centre.
4. Game is still a bit saturated with color and still a bit dark in some areas during the day. Its almost like there is no bouncing lights present in the game. Some spells suffer from this unnatural lighting, like Absorption Field and Ball of Lighting.
5. You fixed some of the ice effects. It doesn't look like crystal meth anymore. Very good.
Perhaps unimportant at this current stage, but your armors are too angular ( something mainly reserved for dwarves) and shiny. They needs some grit and more decoration ( embossing, etchings etc.). One other thing that is immersion breaking is armor moving as character breathes and twists its body.
about the gritty armour , good point, however some players may wish to polish thier armour often to make it shine
The moving armor while characters breathing things always bugs me in games. I know its a video game but my brain just says armor shouldnt do that
Comment on the feedback thread per showcase on the forums. They formally file those suggestions
Armor moving in video games has to happen if you want the character to share animations across all outfits. They could have a set of animations for when you wear a cloth shirt and a separate one for armor, for example: bending forward with a shirt on and when you have armor should be very different, but it comes down to money and time. With today's way of doing things (manually and then retargeting animations) it's unrealistic to expect bending armors to change in the near future, especially for Ashes.
@@slavbruner2327 They would have to add extra bones to the player skeleton for armour plates and attach nonflexible armour pieces to those, probably. As such, unless they want to revamp every single armour they already have it's basically too late :\
Probably the best thing they can do now is just make the breathing animation a little more subdued so you notice the bending less when the character is standing still.
You guys have done a great job at communicating combat weight and not making it feel floaty. The visual and sound effects really seem to make it satisfying when a hit lands. I remember back when you said you would do just this. Well done!
We are constantly making improvements and are glad to hear you are enjoying them! 💪

This was so good.
Your work gets better with each passing year, Intrepid.
Valkios, vc agrega muito pra comunidade brasileira! Obrigado!
The amount of details into this, there's currents or streams in the rivers to make you faster, damn.
BE PREPARED YE SCALLYWAGS, THE BLACK FLAGS BE RAISED AND YE LOOT BE OUR PLUNDER!
It is great. It was in ArcheAge back in 2013. I appreciate developers didn't forget such great mechanics. Looking forward for more. The video is great
@@timasaphin1393 I like how my comment is hidden.
This is really incredible. HOWEVER! Spell effects are so big and flashy, it was hard to tell which side was casting what spell. Would love to see spell effects in pvp reflect enemy spells vs ally spells.
Maybe a slight outline like red if it’s an enemy spell?
@meurumtrain4747 yea that'd be good. I dunno if that'll be customizable as part of the UI or how they plan to do it tho
my favorite showcase thus far!! i love how dynamic this game seems to be. A true MMO where you have to work together to make progress!! this has got me so stoked!
Bro same lets make a guild lol
Amazing showcase! Very impressed by the water physics! Hoping to see and/or partake in more PvP in the future!
I would bet that it's the fluid flux pack on the store and they didn't do absolutely nothing

20 years wow player here , cant wait for this game to come out
20 years in WoW.... brother how did you manage to stay there for so long. I can't force myself to play for more than 1 season hahaha
all of these systems are fantastic! complex, engaging, and player driven - love it! the performance seemed a bit lacking. i'm sure you guys will dial in the lag and stuttering! can't wait for A2
This was fun to watch. You guys are doing a great job. A few observations. I like the height variation you have in this game. It makes it fun for tactical advantages in PvP. Having where, when, and how to engage a target like a caravan makes PvP fun. The Rangers in stealth mode engaging in PvP from a high-ground cliff face was great. The caravan dropping loot all over the place was great. Choosing to grab what you can carry and go or summon another caravan to haul off all the loot was nice. Having options makes the game fun and not static. Being able to convert from a road caravan to a river raft was icing on the cake. Having currents impact speeds is game is immersive. Please have smaller rivers freeze over during winter, especially in the tundra or frozen biomes. Having seasons impact travel and change options is great. I would love to have it where you can risk taking your caravan over a frozen lake in winter to save travel time with the risk of having it break through the ice and sinking. Ice road trucker moment. I would like to see the caravans have visually damaged states when they pass 75%, 50%, 25%, and 10% health. Visual cues to help raiders and defenders know where they are in the battle. If you’re a defender and you see the caravan, you are protecting at 10% and only a few of you are left standing in the fight you might want to brake and run. If you are a PvPer and see the visual cue while fighting that the caravan is at 10% and your team is losing the PvP battle with the defenders, you decided to stay in the fight just long enough to concentrate effort on the caravan so you can loot and run. All in all, this was a good job guys keep up the great work.
The observations you made are spot on. As I was watching it, I was thinking to myself, "They've mentioned this being a CORE mechanic, so if it's repetitive, it'll get boring quick" - but was quickly relieved to see the different options you'll have. Knowing there might be "meta routes" for Caravans, or you hear off a friend that a particular path isnt monitored by potential looters is also great. It isn't just a static Point A to B moving PvP point. Its incredibly dynamic and I'm here for it.
Always love seeing the development updates.
Ashes of Creation keeps getting better and better.
either the swim speed is to fast or the raft is too slow... combat still needs alot of work... you guys got the right idea....keep up the good work
Combat albeit a bit too flashy looks fun and hopefully it is also fun to play. "Caravan PvP" is something I miss ever since I quit Silkroad a decade ago. Hopefully Ashes will make Caravans great again!
I can't tell you how excited it makes me to hear y'all talk about building a spy/information network in game. That was something that made games like UO fun, being a spy in another guild and actively working to sabotage them and instigate wars. Makes me happy to hear y'all bring that concept up
LOVE THISSS!!!
If I may suggest something…
Would be super helpful to be able to ping a mark on your map for the rest of your party to see.
The part where you get ambushed as a raft on the water, half of your team jumped over to land so they could fend off the attack. In that moment I could ping a place on the map where we are to meet up again, or maybe another person in the party could ping on the map a good place to convert back to a caravan? Would be super helpful in tight situations like that where team communication means everything
And also maybe a ping on a target that everyone is to attack first
Holy moly alpha 2 still?!? My son was born on the day the Kickstarter finished so I check from time to time. Now he's pushing 7 and I am excited he might get to play with me when this is finally done. He is aggressively learning to read so he can play more complicated games!
Great stream and its always cool to see how things improve from stream to stream!
Long time listener, first time commenter: this is all amazing! Love all the aspects of this game so far!!
Okay, this is the first video that's absolutely sold me on the potential of the game.
Great video overall! Loving the raft. Maybe it would be a cool idea if you had to put the lootcrates physically into the raft or something. Also in the end, Steven wants to give everyone participating in the raid their money. Maybe there should be an option for 'give everyone in the raid x amount of gold' so you don't have to trade everyone individually
12:00 It's simply bad design when you have to force a mechanic.
This idea of opening the crates in the field vs opening them in the node makes no sense, other than being a Band-Aid to limitations with how all this is designed.
The crates should simply have a lot of stuff and be too heavy to carry.
If I want to take 100 people to carry the things, I should have that option.
Also, the magically summoning caravan goes completely against the original goal of having to defend the caravan.
People should be required to either bring their caravan right away and hide it or go protect it all the way from where its stored at.
Lastly, I don't understand why you need to destroy the enemy caravan and can't just capture it, what did the horses did to you?
Also, regarding people replying something like "but if you allow people to just carry it, the defender won't be able to challenge the loot again".
Its pretty simple, you flag the people that pick up the loot for X nr of minutes as having engaged in PvP, to allow other to attack you and make that loot drop if you get killed.
''Lastly, I don't understand why you need to destroy the enemy caravan and can't just capture it, what did the horses did to you?.'' THANK YOU! It's so immersion breaking! Why would you destroy free caravan and massacre horses?
I know this is just a first look, but I'd love to see naval combat kind of how Archeage does it. Full physics based ship on ship battles. I think it'd be a lot cooler if the raft for example had momentum, meaning it takes a little time to accelerate, decelerate, turn, etc.
Looks very cool as a first pass though! Great job!
Man this made me so excited and this is the reason i backed the game on kickstarter.. Finally some PvP with actual risk vs reward. ive missed it so mutch and cant wait to roam with my buddies trying to find pvp fights in Ashes of creation.
This looks actually impressive. The fact that your caravan can switch from ground to water and water to ground opens a lot of possibilities. It would be cool tho if the attackers could kick off the driver or just stop the caravan when attacking.
We love you Steven, and the rest of your great team! You are leading a project with insane progress and I am eager to play your game. :)
I am going to watch this over, and over and over and over and over again, because as a pre-2.0 Archeage player… THIS!!! This is beautiful to me! Thank you so much for your hard work.
Get excited to Alpha test bois! Let’s make this game great!
Steven thank you for these showcases! So excited for the next stream.
Im getting more and more hyped for Alpha 2 and as always a great video.
One thing im kinda anxious about is the bow balancing in PvP. Because in 04:56 the enemy just gets blasted with no real counterplay. If Steven and the others kept spamming this Arrow Ability there would also be no counterplay again. Of course they are 6 or 7 people shooting all at once but thats not the highest number of people Ashes Of Creation is gonna bring together. So I guess I hope that these point and click spells cannot be abused in PvP.
Keep up the good work! :)
I love how this is coming along. It looks amazing. I only hope some of the boxes you all have popping up to do different things ends up being simplified, if possible. Just watching Steven have his hand held and walked through how to use everything going on can be intimidating....let alone, when we have to end up doing it on our own.
18:45 I hope the movement of the raft gets better. It looks good, but I think the raft should have some momentum and not go forward only if you hold "W"
This went exactly how I imagined it would. Intrepid are making something great. This game will change video games forever. Call it hopium or whatever u want, but no studio has ever shared this much with the community, acted on feedback, scope-creeped to absolute max and still somehow are delivering on their promises. They are not developing a game at this point, they are developing a whole other world for us to enjoy(or despise).
I hope this succeeds, whether I'm alive to play it in 50 years when it comes out or not. Give it all the time it needs to be the best that it can be, this game has something for everyone, there will be nothing that competes.
I'm very happy about this update, i have some feedback though.
I really don't like spawning the caravan from nothing. You should either need to have one prepared ahead of time, or maybe have some other kind of vehicle or mount that does this (e.g. can only carry a single box that's super visible on it's back, but it's faster / deals better with rough terrain).
Also, everyone carrying crates to the new caravan together in a rush (with let's say 25% move speed) would be dope. You could also carry a crate away in the chaos, either as the owner running away with the most valuable box or maybe attacker that got greedy. Maybe even hide it in the bushes and come back later for it? Bandits suddenly turning on each other over really good loot would be super immersive and also nerf the outlaws a little bit (through distrust).
Caravan dash skill might be cooler if it's not a cd, but stamina based, so if your horses are rested you can kinda try running away, but at the cost of longer travel time, since you were saving that stamina ( might work better if that stamina regens much faster when it's low).
A tracking skill might also be amazing for this kind of gameplay. You could make it similar to witcher 3, with glowing tracks that appear slowly on the ground (as your character analyzes the clues. Way faster on higher levels, so only a good tracker is of use in pvp, but you can train this by, say, hunting elusive animals. It should also probably be super grindy, or maybe take up a profession slot, so it's not like everyone has it because it's so useful, but you can hire one.
Putting that aside, i also think it may be a mistake to go too far into tab targeting, especially with ranged skills. It was cool how you guys sniped the one person at the start of the caravan fight, but what's the point of sneaking up to them? They couldn't do anything to stop it either way. Now if that was a skillshot that can miss, shooting an unaware target makes way more sense. Also i think it would feel really good to spot the attack at the last second and dodge that salvo.
More importantly though, WoW arenas and bgs prove that ranged characters are way stronger in any bigger battle and melee needs ridiculous buffs to keep up. The whole point of shooting is the tradeoff of attacking from safe distance but you can miss and do nothing, yeah? Fights between 2 ranged easily devolve into basically who does more dps. I think they're way more fun when you can shoot and dodge/block the enemies' attacks
On the visual side:
I think a camera distance limit should be halved at least. In almost every pvp game it's meta to have it furthest you can, so you can see the most, but having it this far ruins the immersion imo, since it's little figurines fighting now. You're not in there, with spells flying above your head, you're far above combat now. You shouldn't be able to see this much either. How are you supposed to, say, hide behind something or sneak up behind when someones "actual eyes" are orbiting them 15 meters away from their body.
Also, please scale back flashiness of skills. It should be just enough to easily recognize, but no more. Especially if you're going for large scale battles. I already had trouble seeing what's going on. Think elden ring or monster hunter. Our brains maybe like the flashing pretty colors, but true enjoyment comes from mechanics. Sometimes it doesn't look so good, but feels amazing to play. Like the ranger jump skill. The jump itself is cool enough, no need for the extra effects that obscure vision. Please, i'm blind, lol
Keep up the *great* work!
Looks amazing!! I still think some animations need toning down a bit. Keep up the good work 👏
When back in the day (15 years ago) while we play Silkroad online I always tought that thief-trader job war such a wasted potential. And today while watching this cant help myself to feel the nostalgia in a good way. Cant wait to the release date!
Things I liked:
A lot. The combat wasn't too noisy as I thought it would be. *cough cough overwatch* The attacks were beautiful and powerful looking but didn't overpower my ability to actually see what was going on. I love all these visual affects.
I love the idea of having to wait. I would have been really dissapointed if a caravan just appeared to pick up the goods. or the raft was built in mere moments. On that point beng able to trasnition to a raft is great and was my favorite part of this.
If the current lag is how it is now I'm excited to see how will be when it comes out cause it ain't that bad with that many people attacking all at once and moving around.
Things that I'd like to see: I don't know maybe this is already a thing or will be
I know I said I like the visuals buuut, an option perhaps to lower the opacity of teamate visual affects to more easily tell what is friend or foe with so many things happening. This isn't a dealbreaker but would be nice to see personally.
If buff mages could buff caravans. and vis versa wind mages could influence the raft version. Should be mana intensive but would add more of a dynamic for what classes you bring with you to protect your caravan.
A way to better craft your caravan. Like balistas on the top as an upgrade. and/or mini carts with similar defensive capabilites. I'd just really love to see the caravan system being able to be built upon as you play. Your clan or whatever can put lots of wealth towards making deliveries easier. Perhaps these upgrades make it take longer to turn from cart to raft.
The game is starting to look great, it's very nice to see the systems coming together and interacting. Always love the details you add in the game, like the river currents or when you showed the fishing panel years ago. Those things add a nice level of depth to the world. Looking forward to seeing large scale combat once you've had time to do some passes on raid group dynamics. The effects are definitely still too flashing once everyone starts spamming those huge balls of lightning but I'd say things are moving in the right direction! Would be nice to see the effects sliders in action during a future stream.
I really, REALLY hope they rethink the idea that attacking and protecting caravans having the same reward. Protecting the caravan needs to be more rewarding or it'll turn into just another part of the game that no one plays because it's griefing. I'm confidently they'll figure it out though. Hopefully before launch.
That battle looked amazing. It would be cool if the caravan could have progressive visual damage based on remaining hp
Showing the damage state would be a nice visual touch.
Great idea! Little things like that add so much to immersion!
@@divinelyshpongled I like the effects and colours of the spells. It looks very good and it still didn't lag despite so many people fighting. Looks like a fantasy game.
Also, if there's too much going on on the screen, there could always be an option in settings to limit visible spells, especially these coming from teammates.
@@divinelyshpongled There will more than likely be a slider for spell effects. Or they will be faded to others like in Diablo 4
love the fact that you show quite large scale and realistic ingame pvp with all effects on and still manage to have fine fps. i really hope this game will be great, with good engame content and hold up for a dacade or more
Stream goods really good, but try to adjust the spell and effect colors to not be that bright. In massive engages there are too many lights.
I'm a sucker for the color of copper and MAN that armor looks nice!
The water conversion looks really cool, and I love the vulnerability while you convert. The new system of stolen goods vs swapping to your caravan is nice, stolen is a smash and grab(with penalties for taking the loot now), while moving it to your caravan gives the originator a chance to get it back, makes you defend your own caravan, but gives more rewards if you succeed, which is as it should be. LOVE this system, and it looks so fun.
I rarely find watching people play MMOs fun, as it's way too often just the same old grind, but this is different, and the possibilities are fluid. Even knowing this was scripted with a specific outcome was still fun to watch.
The water currents is a nice touch, and I can see lots of benefits and detriments to the player, which is a nice balance. I hope there are caravan damage options for going through rapids.
Y'all are doing such a great job with this game, can't wait to get into it and explore.
Ooh shit.. An new MMORPG with swimming? Havent seen those in a while :D.
There has to be some kind of way to reduce the effect clutter. There HAS to be a way to discern enemy spells from your ally's. A pass should be done to make everything more subtle
there will be a slider for this so you can tone down everything.
The progress in development has been amazing. Im really looking forward to seeing what AoC looks like in the coming months.
Pvp with an actual purpose, great stuff!
Was great stream like normal. Thanks for showcasing the pvp event and the bard prototype goofy vid
Wait...they showed the Bard?!?!
@@jonathanhaven1690 Steven leaked on the AOC Discord
As a PvP non-enjoyer, this is definitely the system I'm looking forward to the least, but I'm happy it's looking nice for those that want it. My cynical side just sees this system never working in favor of the merchants and always defaulting to bandits until the system itself dries up and merchants transport goods by hand, but we'll have to see. On a lighter note, things are looking good! The currents in the river are very neat and I'm excited to see some of the rougher waters.
This game should have mounted combat, just imagine you are beign attacked by overwhelming bandits, and suddenly you look up to a cliff and there are the Rohirrim from a close node coming to help, would be really cool.
The first time I've seen gameplay that paints a promising picture of the end goal! Previous iterations/showcases have seemed hollow by comparison (by not depicting organic gameplay). Although this video was clearly scripted to a certain degree, the unscripted mess that happens in large PvP was displayed in all it's glory here. "Stop following me and go kill the guys!" Loved that authentic interaction and would love to see more videos like this.
Hell yeah! Glad to have been a part of this!
Open world pvp is so vital in mmo’s for me! Super happy to see the importance Ashes puts on it!
great caravan machanics, pvp looks fun, I worry for too many effects being confusing, and melee is always at a huge disadvantage in large scale pvp, I'm sure you're aware of this, look forward to A2
Thank you for not trying to reinvent the wheel with helms this time!!! The one that Steven wore reminds me of Norman kalota!!!!!
Looks great all around Intrepid Studios keep up the great work!
I'm excited to see that trade runs wont ever be solo runs usually. I'm SO GLAD to see the huge promo of constant group PvP , makes me feel super needed as a healer - also that bard discord preview might make me swap to cleric+bard or bard+cleric if its anything like songcraft for AA
This is such a feverdream of a journey allready so far. This game has so many cool things going and not for one damn second does it feel like stuff is there by accident. This is beyond cool and im so excited so see how much more you guys can add in the future.
Looking at this amazing fight, the thought creeps in how difficult it will be for melee soldiers in such battles.
Yeah gotta be either rather tanky or have decent movement skills to bumrush.
It seems to be like that in a few games I've played. Tanks good to go right in, but squishier melee, we either had tanks pull enemy to us or did hit and run on the flanks and would take out the ranged back line. I actually like having to use strategy as opposed to everyone can just run in like the main character and demolish people.
You've done it again! Looks smooth as hell! Only feedback I could provide is that the blue balls from the mage are too big. No one wants big blue balls, lol. Though, I believe it was mentioned in another stream mage skill effects were changing a little.
Thats the truth Graphic for the lighting ball needs work to keep the idea of it but not have it impact so much visually.
@@coldsteel865yeah. I'm not sure what they would do to change it. If you make it smaller, you don't give the visual feedback of the area it covers. If they make it more translucent maybe that would alleviate the issue? Perhaps they could actually make it smaller and have electricity coming out of it that extends to the proper range, giving us good visual feedback of "where not to stand" so it can be avoided while not taking up to much visual space. I will say, stand alone, if it was single player it would look cool. 🤔
Nice , just like archage when we used to steal value packs in the open and you'll need to summon your own galleon or vehicules to transport them which makes the risk of losing them even harder if the guild you attacked comes back or you meet other enemy guilds , very nice job Ashes of Creation team , looking forward to the sea content and how pirates have a place inside the game
Starting the year off strong with this livestream! I can't wait to see how the livestreams are going to develop come Q3.
17:47 this scene gives me goosebumps. How those two mages charges there attacks. This looks so cool
With the sails on the raft and such will wind also be a factor in navigating the water ways etc.?
Great stream! Looking forward to A2
You can really see the looks of what I’d call end alpha graphics taking shape. In beta you will hopefully see graphical clutches taken out slowly. I see how their game design is pushing choke points with the beaches but what they should call them are boat ramps because that’s what they are imitating from real life and they haven’t even realized it. No one put a boat with any weight in the water off a beach because you get stuck.
But I like the design. Things in a virtual world world of an MMORPG shouldn’t be instant. Even with private dungeons you should still collective a team, set out and arrive at a dungeon in which you work your way through. Value for your time just means if you put in an hour to run a dungeon but the reward should be better because the dungeons and bosses should be harder. I like how they are adding all these different types of things a town can control to change its purpose and direction.
19:05 anyone know which one song is that? Cuz can't find in actual AoC OST on youtube.
I never got to experience ArcheAge, but I've seen footages of their version of the caravan system and it looked amazing to me! I'm so excited about all the possibilities, PvP, and other player interactions (whether it is becoming a mercenary, or hiring mercenaries myself)
keep up the great work Intrepid!
the game is looking fantastic guys
Nice showcase! Rogue showcase when???
your greedy... but i like it
Can I add a suggestion? Can you guys add momentum to how the raft moves in water? It will be great to do so. :)
The ocean content is gonna be insane, we got good water physics by the looks of things.
It's beautiful. It's like Silkroad Online's caravan system.
That looked fun! I hope you can balance things though so that theres enough value in defending the caravan too rather than everyone just attacking to steal everyone elses stuff.
Since the Lighting balls/Orbs are the only constant ability that has no signature of being friendly or foe, maybe they should be color coded? Or be able to damage your own teammates?
I agree with that. Being able to distinguish between friendly or hostile AoE would be nice if your squishy is critical.
Yeah, could just be blue if friendly and red if foe
Incredible, really impressed by the developments you did !! 😍😍
Wow, just standing around looks great. I am so excited to play this!!!
One thing im hoping with this game and what it seems from the looks of it is that they are finding ways to get people to join together instead of playing alone in a mmo and im down for it all the way, curious to see more but its came a long way and loved the look of every update
Completely agree. Mmos live from group work and interacting with other players
Yeah I mainly come from eso where I did alot of stuff by myself so a way to make this happen more would be nice
@@galador8089
Awesome! I love that caravan system. Will there be any rewards for all the members of the caravan group when finishing a caravan route together? Like "job" experience, material rewards, achievements etc?
OMG totally mind blowing. It gives me so much archeage vibes but better. Congratz Intrepid, you did it. We will have the MMO we deserve
Why did you guys keep cutting away from the pvp fight?
It looks like there is stuttering and lag starting right before you cut away from all the pvp fights.
How is the performance of larger scale fights like 20v20? We never got to see any, because as soon as the fights were starting it cut away to you driving a caravan or some other clip.
It seems like you're hiding potential performance issues with your pvp at large scale, as the only extended footage was like 1v1's or small scale.
With how big mmo communities are with the change in ability to stay in contact with guildmates, you have to expect guild sizes and friend groups will be large, and these caravan battles will become pretty large scale. If you can't handle more than 10v10 without having serious performance issues, this content will be dead on arrival.
I love the idea and concept, it's very similar to escorting trade packs in archeage which was very fun content. I think you guys have put a great twist on it and it looks like it will be engaging content.
I hope you guys take the performance issues seriously, because hiding the performance of a 20v20 or larger scale fight, will only last so long. As soon as the game releases, people will see and if it's bad, your game will die. Look at other mmo's that died quickly because of performance issues in the last 3 years.
Amazing job Hal and whoever else worked on caravans. Amazing. The entire team creative is inspiring. Keep it up, Intrepid! You guys are awesome.
Keep grinding and crushing it!
Can’t wait to see bandits asking for a tax to cross a self made check point.
It was a Banger of a stream.
An absolute banger. 😎
that was amazing but at 36:00 i can't see any difference in his gold balance am i looking wrong?
could we get a boat that you can drive a cart up on to avoid the convert timer as a upgrade option
this could be used for ocean traversal due to a boat that big not fitting in a river.
As always looks great and my group is just waiting for this to be our next "everyDay" game. That being said, im curious if it wouldnt look nicer without the spell effects. There's an amount of visual clutter typical of mmo's. Will there be options to turn them off/turn them down - rather than bright pink or blue energy explosions, could we just have dust particles being kicked up instead?
I love seeing the progress every month this is going to be an amazing game.
Very cool stuff, keep up the good work! :)
Amazing showcase, so proud to be AoC supporter
The thing that makes me most hopeful about this is that there is a very clear implementation of feedback with the combat, people complained it felt weightless and now the hits feel a lot stronger. Awesome that you are listening to the community! My only complaint is that combat is still a bit too flashy in the sense that there are too many particles flying around, maybe scaling tjat down would help.
I also agree with others that the lightning ball sticks out a bit much compared to other spells
Looks fantastic! Keep up the great work!
Looks way better than a lot released mmo !! Very good job ! It feels like I will fell the old DAoC rvr feeling 🤘
This looks amazing! The return of world pvp in mmo's looks crazy
I think it would be best if the Caravan Players, if they stick close to the Caravan, should have a (small) defensive buff that slowly wears off during combat.
This is because players transporting the caravan cannot choose when or where the battle begins. With the attackers having initiative advantage picking when and where to start combat, and as you saw immidiatly blowing up one or two caravaneers on opening shots would a defensive buff on caravaneers help balance the start of the encounter?
As said the buff should wear off once combat starts, perhaps a buffer like a team-shield on the caravaneers?
It seems attacks have a big advantage at this point.
I can’t wait for this game
Youre giving us MMORPG people hope. i love you guys. it looks so good!
