Hahaha I second that as an average size Mexican dude 😂 I fell out of the back of my F350 in a SAMS club parking lot and swore I’d never get another 4x4 ever again and it’s not even lifted! I still have that truck for hauling the travel trailer but I just bought a Maverick XLT last Saturday and I love that little truck!!!
Like it. Stance wise looks same as my old Colorado extreme. Truck was awesome,family out grew it.
Got a 23 xl Maverick hybrid, love it , sooo quiet , smooth ride , comfy , only heard the motor run one time in 300 miles 1/2 tank gas , wow , go Maverick

I owned a 1986 Mazda b2000, 2009 Toyota Xrunner and absolutely loved them. Unfortunately I fell outta that scene, had to sell them. I never really liked Fords small pickups, the maverick on the other hand looks awesome. I think I'm getting the itch.
Test drive one. I just happened to get my hands on one at work. Though it was base model i just loved the ride. It has got a the most amazing little engine in it. I think they get it off Mazda. But boy the quickness is incredible.

Just last October I took a road trip from Oklahoma to California and back and I didn’t see a single Maverick the entire trip! I’ve owned mine since last September and I haven’t seen more than 4!

I do like the truck. I would like to get one myself. I'm a big fan of lowering. Also, we don't always need to go too big on wheels. There's no reason for that. Lorraine seems to work better with medium-sized rims. To smaller rims, you don't need to go crazy with 25 inch rims. That's unrealistic. They're not dubs, small rims factories. Steele's something lower it and depends on your purpose. And who's driving it? But this guy is talking about something that's pleasant. As something smaller, Ram 18 are smaller like I saw that comment, but yes, hopefully the boat pattern could work for different size rams manufacturers, but all the hook depends on who's driving it. If you want to use it for daily use, don't go too big. There's things that are realistic and unrealistic. When you're lowering a vehicle. Yeah, you may have your pros and cons, but it's still a good vehicle. Nothing's gonna be the best in the world. And if it's something you want to enter the habit. Pick up truck like that instead of a Sedan. I think that's a better option for a Ford malright, send more information about. Options of like different Springs.Not everybody wants coil overs but it's a good video on my subscribe

I thought about getting a Maverick but ended up going with an RS, though one day I would love to put the RS drivetrain into a Maverick
Great video. Awesome truck. The only thing i disagree with is the comment about the bolt pattern. Even the guy at the rim shop said , its a hard bolt pattern to find rims for. Unless you want 18" or smaller. I always want bigger rims. I currently have 21" on mine. Which i had a hard time finding 20" rims that i like. Even 22" rims i only had maybe 6 choices to choose from. If it was 5x114 bolt pattern then there would be lots of choices.

Love the truck, my only hang up with the Ford Maverick is the fact that the Ford Maverick had never been a truck! It was an affordable car in the 70's that the normal average individual that would drive back and forth to work etc..... Or made a low budget muscle car out of!!!
I think we should put the stock wheels on and take it to a track day.... What do you think??

How good is the Maverick? Toyota, RAM, and even Subaru are all supposedly rushing vehicles to market to try and cash in on this segment. I can't wait to see what Toyota offers given I used to own a '90's Toyota mini truck.

Ford did Trademark "Mavrick Lobo" and one with camo was seen with 19" wheels and low profile tires So Mavrick "Wolf" is what might be in the works. I just hope they make the interior look better and not so cheap. I wouldn't mind if it was 300+ HP and AWD and not a stupid starting price. Toss the 2.7 Turbo from the Ranger in it.....yes that!!!

For you possibly wait for a Maverick ST. It'll come factory with a bigger 2.3 EcoBoost four cylinder from the Ford Ranger, Mustang EcoBoost + dufunct Ford Focus RS, likely AWD with a factory lowered suspension package + performance wheels/tires that ride, handle well, but don't "overdue" it like that black XLT you drove there in this video. I'm 90% or more certain I've heard that Ford will make a "performance" Maverick ST, especially being like you stated they've become so wildly popular. Funny thing is, people now are still paying "Ranger" prices & even higher for these Mavericks. I believe many folks will buy these due to small size alone as alot of folks miss the small, older Ford Ranger models + think the 2019-2023 Ford Rangers are just plain too big/tall. I believe this current Ford Maverick will even cannibalize some of Ford's own sales of it's very soon upcoming, redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger. I myself owned a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Super Cab 4x4, Livernois tuned, performance intercooler, cold air intake, performance exhaust & liked it very well.
I just bought a 2024 mav lariat. Paid MSRP. Not a dollar more.
Did you say the hybrid and the non hybrid mavs have different suspension?
The FWD and AWD have different suspension. The 2.0 FWD has the same suspension as the Hybrid FWD

I’m lowering my hybrid, I just ordered the Eibach pro kit I hear good things about ride quality with the Eibachs and it’s not too low. 2.5” front 3” rear.

I actually really like the new mavericks when they’re lowered but the rake kills me, gotta level it out or have the back squat a tad bit.
Ford needs to give us an ST manual.

I, too, was wondering the same thing. I've seen videos from other people running 22's on mavericks where they say they're a 20mm offset. Maybe a good starting point 🤷♂️

I ordered a 2024 XLT AWD Shadow Black with the Black Appearance Package and plan on lowering with H&R lowering springs and going with 20s or maybe 22s. And a tune too. The truck in your video is exactly what I’m looking to do (except for the rubbing). I might go with bronze color wheels (see the Ferrada Maverick video).

Great looking truck but I think the XLT package is a waste, just get a XL otherwise there are better vehicles for the money.

If this was rear wheel drive with an inline 6, it would have been perfect. Front wheel drive is not what I want in a truck and especially a 4 cylinder.

@ederavelino2457 I'm aware but it's just like the Explorer Sport where the engine is mounted in a FWD configuration. Makes it much harder to work on due to accessibility.
I just started to look at Mavericks. My local dealer has three at list prices. Plus, there’s a couple of used ones on the lots in town. The demand has decreased to normal levels. Plus, there might be an update for 2025. For now, I’ll keep my 2017 F150 Platinum with only 43,000 miles.
