I played this on my Series X as it came to Gamepass recently, and loved it. Was considering getting the Switch version, so I could play on the go, but maybe I won't. Funny thing about the save points being so sparse, I haven't even thought about it because I've been spoiled with Xbox's quick resume feature, turn the console off, play something else, doesn't matter, I can always get back to where I was with deadsuit, instantly.
So the horrid looking frame rate didn't seem to bother you as much as it did for me after watching this footage and other videos of the Switch version? Because to me it looks like the game is a jittery mess. And if a game runs that badly, you can usually safely assume that it also ruins the controls (causing lag among other things). Also, has the dev (I know it's just the 1 guy) said anything about a patch to at least attempt to improve the frame rate? There really should be no reason why a 2D sidescroller like this runs so poorly.
I never thought I'd agree considering i used to love souls types but after playing Grime Moonscars and Tunic I'm seriously done with elements of souls games injected into these types of games. Also pretty much over rogue likes.
@@dairykingofthemidwest4544 sorry for necroing the post but how hard is moonscars compared to grime, i'm gonna play moonscars but really struggled with grime
@@d00mnoodle24 I actually liked both. I give the slight edge to moonscars as I felt it controlled better almost like blasphemous. Grimes parry mechanic took me a while to get down. It kinda reminded me of Samus return and how you kinda needed it to make fights easier.
@@d00mnoodle24 I died a lot more in moonscars to what I felt were a lot of cheap hits. Boss fights were more challenging in Grime which also made them feel more satisfying.

Played it and loved it 😁🤙🏼
My only issue with the game is the save points are way to sparse and that makes the warp points mostly useless
noice
Something newwww?

Yeah I had noticed a lot of frame rate / frame pacing issues
Yet another promising looking inde game, ruined by souls gameplay. Isn't it time the industry moved on to the next fad.

@@dairykingofthemidwest4544 but is it as difficult as grime? Or easier? :P
