      its short term loss, for long term gain. High risk, high reward. The fact you don't understand that discredits anything you're saying.

      And Thats Acumen's problem, not mine.
      And for the record, there 's been 3 periods in which Berkshire's total portfolio has been down 50%. The last of which occurred in 2000. These pullbacks are to be expected when you run a concentrated long term value portfolio. Only the amateurs make a big deal about Ackman's percentage drop.

    From the day of the interview to today, McDonald's has returned more than 180% in capital gains and has paid meaningful dividends. So maybe it was cheap back then.

    The United States officially descended into lawlessness by my count, about 2 weeks ago... finally. I'm not alone? I did say it myself, Italian gasoline is $8.50!

    • @AB608052
      @AB608052 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Money. Real economics. Not just cost of things but the exchange of money and the exchange of goods and services.. what coupled markets are effected if the USA manages to set a impossible ceiling on the price of gasoline? I don't know! Mmm but, someone in that picture then, isn't getting paid. Who how many

    • @AB608052
      @AB608052 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The gasoline isn't leading to enough exchange of money, not enough superfluous profit, not enough exchange of goods and services. And then, poverty begets poverty. They don't know how to make money but worse they don't recognize how to make money. Then what next begets it's own loss
