- Florence Nightingale was born into a life of wealth and privilege, in an age when women were expected to simply marry, have children and not do much else. But in response to a call from God, Florence dedicated her life to helping the sick - unheard of in Victorian England. In the Crimean War, she saved countless lives and came back a hero, sought after by royalty and governments around the world. Florence Nightingale dedicated her life to establishing the modern profession of nursing. She was motivated by the teachings of the Bible and her love for God. Her story inspires us to return to the Word of God and challenges us to rediscover God’s purpose for our lives.

My husband April 9th he sustained serious bodily injuries from Street crime my husband was at the wrong place at the wrong time.. he will be a semi vegetable for the rest of his life.. I was learning something about Florence Nightingale.. because even though he has the world's best doctors and best nursing....I will make sure that my husband is kept as comfortable as he can be for the rest of whatever life God has for him and I will always be his personal Florence Nightingale. The notes that Florence Nightingale wrote became a journal that is still used in nursing schools today. She brought respect and dignity to the occupation and career. A light in the midst of darkness. What an amazing biography of Florence Nightingale. So inspiring! It all started with my 7 yr old and I reading a story in one of her reading comprehension books. Florence Nightingale stood out and we began to read it. I was so impressed with Florence’s calling and purpose through God that I felt the need to search more of her. This video had me in tears of joy all because in how impactful she was to those soldiers and the world. Definitely was blessed today!!!

Taught in nursing school not to want more than minimal wages which most of life has been from jumping to different hospital jobs but worked 2 jobs or double shifts most of the years. What a story about Florence! Didn’t know hospitals were that awful back then. Glad to see the realistic situations back then. Wow, pay cut for wounded soldiers! She was in the hands of God with justice and humanitarian focus, a true blessing in this world. Love how her dad educated her. Yes, God is in the hands of genuine servers. Didn’t know Him when first entrance into that field but saw His works and movements and control over situations. When naive and innocent He shows much of His works. Thank you for this film.

Please do a program on Dr Laws, originally from Aberdeen Scotland. He went out to Nyasaland in the footsteps of Dr Livingston. He went for three years and stayed for over fifty years, started a mud hut built tiny hospital and his emblem , the fish eagle became its symbol , a memorial to Dr Laws in the center courtyard of the medical school in Blantyre Malawi.
Those early conditions were dire, malaria ect, many accompanying colleagues died along the way, his work was respected to this day . We thank the Lord for him and others like him .

Jeremiah 29:11. 2003. Lost my husband brain disease Alzheimer's.... I would have rather him have left me for another woman. I would have rather have been ran over by a semi truck in the middle of the expressway. No one no one wants to see a loved one died of Alzheimer's. My husband had a garage full of tools. You name any modern to you could find in the market. The fragile of the brain. At the end of my husband's life he didn't even know what a pair of pliers was for. Devastating disease.

I am one of the first-year nursing students of this modern day who
have chosen their field of study out of family ideals and
the sense of practicality for a sustainable salary; before any of these, I
once desired to become an Architect.
This case of mine placed me in a midst of darkness, a death of a desire
which killed a part of my soul (for that is what I have read: neglecting a desire,
or a personal ideal, harms the soul, and diminishes the I AMness of a Being).
Luckily, as it may be out of coincidence that I stumbled on your content and
gone through it, apprehending Florence's life story, a realization struck me:
"life is happening for me in accordance to God's divine plan".
This concept became the light as projected from the "Lady with the Lamp" herself,
that induces my sense of purpose and meaning into the recent affairs and thoughts
I found myself suffocated.
Furthermore, I indeed pondered on the great reality of my excellence
on this Nursing endeavor that I shall honor to Florence and her sacrifices, and
ofcourse, as I will not deny myself the revival of my first-born ideal.
For I do vision a reality breathing under the
acknowledgement of having these professions I oath to acquire for
the sincerest sake of making the most of myself.
