i have a theory that JB's 3pt efficiency is going to take a step forward this season the same way his ball handling with his left hand took a step forward this last season and how his FT% took a step forward a few seasons ago
JB keeps improving his overall game. Tatum keeps improving his overall game. Hauser and Pritchard have kept improving. White improved hugely after getting to Boston. We have every reason to think all of those contracts are solid gold. And Holiday and Horford don't even *need* to improve.
The extended contracts for quality, upcoming players is genius. Besides keeping a super lineup intact, these contracts will be valuable in a couple of years for trading for other quality players and draft picks, when needed, even in the 2nd apron. Several Celtics bench players are/will be starter-level on other teams. Their value will increase while playing with this quality roster.
The Celtics don't really need to trade for anybody in the next 4/5 years They have everyone locked up besides horford and that's only because he's retiring... Tatum 6 years Brown 5 years Hauser 5 years Jrue 4 years White 4 years Pritchard 4 years Tillman 4 years Queta 4 years Schierman 4 years Porzingus 2 years With JD Davis Anton Watson And Jordan Walsh on two way contracts and can easily be signed to long term deals The Celtics also have not only their own first round picks... But two of the wizards picks over the next few seasons They are in a better position to go on a dynasty run than anyone since the early 80s lakers
The Celtics brought back EVERYBODY THAT MATTERS... And also drafted another great 3 point shooter AND THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT!!! AL HORFORD REPLACEMENT!!! Schierman has chance to be a guy who runs the pick n roll as the ball handler AND has the ability for the inverse pick n roll where hel set the pick and either pop for a good shot from 3 or roll and get the chance to play make out of the short roll at a high level due to his size and ability to set picks Anton Watson is an A+ pick setter for a rookie... And looks to have the potential to be an Al Horford CLONE offensively... Hitting open 3s at a good percentage and being able to defend 3-5 at a high level Getting a guy like Watson at pick 54 when you already have a roster as good as the Celtics is absolutely RIDICULOUS
That’s actually a very good comparison, except he shoots them at a much higher streak, but he dominates the mid range like wade did…wade’s handles and decision making is what makes wade better
$500 million bill coming up, but . . . last year, Celtics official revenue (from major streams) was $450+ million. The single biggest component of that, by a considerable margin, is national media rights, and the league just signed deals to make that particular pie MUCH larger. The C's will be profitable even if things like ticket prices, local media contracts, etc, didn't see any inflation. The real issue is how dedicated the next owner group is, compared to how greedy they are.
knicks signed OG an elite lock for 212 mil for 5 years so yeah derricks contract is kind of a steal but they would need to sacrifice someone to pay him more
I think the big question here is size in the paint. Al Horford is getting old. I don't think any of us really want to see KP taking the physical punishment of banging in the post/painted area. We are also going to face two of the most physical paint scorers in the NBA between Embiid and Giannis (not to mention Randle from the NYK). I would like to see a cheap veteran grab for someone that can get physical down low.
$512 million will be the bill 25-26, not next season (24-25). We won't be paying the highest tax next year, Suns will. Who cares about the $512 due in '26? Sure, it technically comes out of the owners' pockets- but they still will be massively profitable regardless. It is possible that they will be more profitable by going down this path (and being the biggest taxpayer). It's only a problem if they don't win again. All the extra $ from licensing/ merchandise from this championship alone will pay that tax bill.
Baylor was terrible in summer league although every now and then he did show some promise. Nothing to write home about. He has a lot to learn but good for him is that he has a ton of great players and coaches to teach him.
bro there was 5 seconds left in that Jalen brunson 3 he had to take it either way😂😂 jrue is arguably the best defensive player in the league he got way better defensive highlights hahah im happy yall beat the pacers and it wont be remotely easy but shits gunna be a battle with Ny this year OG and mikal on tatum and d white and jrue on brunson and Julius or mikal both teams have players that can knock spot up 3s knicks averaged more steals last season celtics had more blocks

jaylen and jaysons commitment to getting better each year has set the backbone for the best team in the league

Something to focus on this summer
it's pretty sure is and jt's body was becoming big also
JB got a record contract, and still pushed himself to improve. I love the dedication.
Man is fueled on snubs

Don't forget Anton Watson. Maybe not this year, but I think he's a future rotation player.

Brown 5 years

Jrue 4 years
White 4 years

Tillman 4 years
Queta 4 years
Schierman 4 years

JB is like dwade with 3pt efficiency
More like MJ
Facts fr
My guy. This is the best comparison that I’ve heard of JB. He is an upgraded DWade.
@@poohweezyifypeople were saying this negatively with the “we done with the 90s movement” he cant go left!! uh no hes like mj🤞😂

Greedy? Running a deficit that's almost $60M just to retain overpaid employees is greedy? Fuuuuuck yew.
Boston Celtics back-to-back champion 🏆💯
Derrick White & Jrue Holiday INSANE BACK-COURT DEFENSE 💪🔥💪
Excited for the future love my cs baby
knicks signed OG an elite lock for 212 mil for 5 years so yeah derricks contract is kind of a steal but they would need to sacrifice someone to pay him more
Adding shierman and watson with walsh to be able to let JT and JB actually breathe will be huge. They need to draft a center this next draft though
There’s no room for them lol maybe Baylor gets some time but I’d be stunned if Watson or Walsh ever see any real minutes
Jaylen Brown ENTER his 2nd YEAR PRIMES next season 💪🔥💪
JB statistical is better than Kobe he just doesnt shoot the ball as much… if he did hed be better than kobe
Jesus Christ

& we haven’t even seen peek tatum & brown yet 🔥☘️😭 league is in trouble
What I want to know is IF the Celtics can develop Queta into a beast. Just because he doesn’t shoot threes he can pound it inside.
If Kristaps Porzingis stay healthy next season & consistent 2025 playoffs Boston big chance get #19 banner next season 💯 no doubts 💪🔥💪
Boston Celtics 2024 NBA WORLD CHAMPION 🏆
FMVP: Jaylen Brown
its funny cuz tatum is the only celtic last year in top 10 3s attempted and made they just have super good ball movement
CRAZY that he's only 19 year old 😅🤣😂😅🤣🤣😂😂😅😅😂🤣😂😂😂😂🤣😂😅😅😅😂🤣😂😂😅😅😅😅😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😅😅😂🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Jaylen brown is officially the best player on the team. Tatum is no. 2

Didn't realize Pete Buttigieg was also an excellent at basketball management
Springer will have a productive year
