@@raoulduke344 Yeah I'd have to disagree, they wrote all of their songs themselves and didn't get like fifty producers or anything, they benefited from being rich kids but I wouldn't call them inauthentic.

@@djjackyp2 just wait a little longer and it is going to be streaming on showtime. It's different in some ways to the book because the guys who made the documentary added some great rare footage that you can't find on TH-cam or anywhere else. So it's worth a look at the documentary anyway.

Are all these clips from an upcoming documentary? And if so is it about the strokes or them and the scene they came up in? Id definitely watch this. Im not a big fan but I remember how much hype these guys had coming out.

Rich privileged kids on lots of drugs enjoying being 21 and touring the world. I saw them five times when is this it came out because the opening act long wave put me on the guest list so I followed them. Pretty much all the way through Alabama to Florida. And you could always tell what drugs they were on that night. Sometimes they played really fast sometimes they played the songs very slow so they may have been taking the last batch of somas that was available and the early 2000s. Man I miss those things those were awesome.
What's with Americans infatuation with "privilege"? I see it used as a slur quite often, is it really a bad thing there to have parents who provided a good life for their children? Why must it be acknowledged like repenting for sins or used as sort of disclaimer or apology?

It's going to be streaming on showtime soon. You can look up the dates on a search engine. I'm glad it's going to be on there because I live in BFE and there's no theaters that are going to play it.

It's a new documentary based off of the book Meet Me in the Bathroom. But it includes footage that hasn't been seen or heard of before. So it's worth a watch. Anyway, showtime will be streaming it soon. I hope that info helps.

The Strokes music is great, but the brooding rich white boy thing has always felt unrelatable to me, which makes the music not as great.
