    Note that the Dark Green leaves are not brand new or exclusive to *this* set, but they were just introduced to the market a few months ago; they are very, very new.
    (I do have to post & pin notes like this because if I don't, the majority of comments will hyper-focus on the one tiny semantic question & ignore the rest of the video, which is very unfortunate & undesirable.)

    I think it’s really interesting how they’re using strange parts from the Mario series in regular system sets, like in this case for the roof of the cab

    I enjoy that it uses a similar color scheme to the Mobile Crane set, I really love that one so I like the idea of them matching up

    A very cool little set!
    I used to be a forklift operator, so anything related to that gets extra bonus points from me!

    @Bucketroo ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would redesign this to make the bucket reach the ground by getting rid of the blue plates in the sides of the body, putting an inverted slope 1X2 under each Technic 1X2 brick that holds the arms. As it is now, the 1X2 bricks hang off the edge awkwardly, and the blue plates place them too high for the bucket to reach the ground. The inverted slopes would give a bit of definition to the front wheel wells also.
    This is a bit crude for a LEGO design, to be honest.

    now i have this set. buyed it today friday the 27 january 2023.
    its the most intresting building instruction, to build the fiirst stage and then destroy it and build stage 2... so awesome... i used the spareparts to build around the new build... concrete on sides and one woodplate on top and then 2 woddplates in front on the ground on the green plate...

    That kinda stinks that the bucket doesn’t go flush with the ground. Hopefully there’s a way to fix that with a smoother hinge? Not sure if that exists, I can’t think of a particular piece.
    Weird that the foliage pieces in dark green are as new as they are (though not exclusive, as Jang says in the pinned comment). Heck, they made them in an orange color for the Clone Wars finale. Lego works in mysterious ways!

    Nice review of a well thought out set. The functions and play shown on the box don't require any digging or excavation, so I understand the omission of a bucket. The jackhammer attachment is a nice alternative showing the versatility of these construction tractors.

  • @Benjamin0119
    @Benjamin0119 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That is a nice construction vehicle. I like the jackhammer. It is very surprising that no backhoe attachment was included and apparently one doesn't even exist for that hinge, as you mentioned.

      I feel like the smaller Technic sets are a better value too in terms of play value and alternate builds. I hope Lego never abandons those, I have fond memories of this little Technic tractor that I used to have that could be rebuilt into a motorbike with a sidecar.

      @dgray3771 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@diatonicdelirium1743 In my youth there were many many sets that cost you a few guilders in my time. Which was affordable for anyone. I do not say that lego is targetted towards low incomes but it is a good thing they make sets for lower income brackets. Some companies simply don't do that. And it will be a point where kids are left out. Because their family cannot afford it. And that joy of putting lego together should be available for all children.

    The bucket piece in the older lego city farm tractor (set 60287) had the same issue, it couldn't fully sit on the ground

  • @syberracer2984
    @syberracer2984 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    A potential way that you could make the bucket sit flush to the ground is by removing and then rotating the horizontal connector for the boom arm so that the light grey 1x4 plate is facing up. That seems to be what is limiting the range of movement on the front boom arms because it collides with the front of the digger.

      lego town did much more. 6603, 6631, 6682, 6361. But also later 6581 is 1 of my favorites. 7246 & 7248 are another 2. Probably 7248 is 1 of the best still looking good with modern sets. And 7344 should be rereleased or remade. Its massive.

    I didn't realize this didn't have a rear bucket. I also thought they would use that hinge piece at the back for the articulated arm. Guess I'll have to dig out an old piece, no pun intended, or buy a few old 2x3s.

    This is perfect honestly and goes great with the Electric scooter minifigure pack but yeah, that one tiny centimeter it doesn't reach the ground with is annoying. But still a great set. I really couldn't ask for more except for that one little annoying flaw and a matching colored $20 6 wheeled Cement mixer set with it's own little side build released sometime this year. Also I love how this also kinda looks like it's an electric Backhoe digger. Are those actually a thing? It'd be cool if more heavy duty machinery were also transitioning to EVs. Now that would prove that Electric Vehicles are reliable if we started making Construction Vehichles Electric, then there'd be no doubt with ther power and potential.

    I wonder why LEGO never made a narrower version of the loader bucket for e.g. excavators, even after all these years of LEGO City sets. It's so obvious... The closest I can think of is set no. 6631
