I really love your videos. I know I'm kind of new to your channel and this video isn't super recent, but I love being able to come watch your videos, I find them so helpful and inspiring. You and your art are one of the biggest motivations for me recently as I have been sort of stuck and unmotivated because of school and looming college stuff and just a lot of junk in general. But I'm drawing and finding comfort in my art again as well as really enjoying what I'm making. So thank you for being an amazing motivation to get me out of my art block and for just being real. 💗💗💗

Loved this! All your insights (about how every artist is unique and nobody will be able to do what you do, as well as confidence issues) were really good to hear. I know almost every artist struggles with confidence, but it's easy to fall into a ''everyone else is so confident and talented and here i am just making silly drawings, i will never have what it takes'' kind of mindset. In reality, there are always people out there who appreciate your (yes, also ''you'' who is reading this right now, your art is probably sick or will be in the future, keep going!) unique art, I just hope one day it will be easier to reach those people without having to be a social-media wizzard. This is now my new favourite ''podcast'' haha, curious to hear your future conversations!!❤

22:48 kim jung gi said the same thing. not to draw what you see in order to not adopt the mindset of copying a subject 1:1 because cameras can already do that. instead, focusing on stylization and capturing and understanding the structure of the subject

Everything I look up is giving me the opposite answer, that I SHOULD draw what I see 😭

I know it's kinda weird but like, if you'd consider to do a tutorial on how you draw heads and eyes because I've been drawing for about two years now but I'm still struggling with eyes and placement of the nose. And drawing heads makes me feel weird because all of artist do it so differently than me so I'm kinda insecure about it
