Every time I watch your videos, I feel like I'm learning the secrets of the traditional Lao cooking! (Literally my mom just comes out of the kitchen with these foods on those short bamboo tables and we just eat!)

Looks good my friend. Just a friendly tip. If you gonna put padek in, then you can skip the part where you put extra shrimp paste and fish sauce because your padek is already made out of those two ingredients already. If you like more salty taste I guess you can do your way. But I’m just saying.

Hi Janelle I watch you on your channel, you are a sweetheart.
I was wondering if Filipinos ate the skins on the mango cause I saw an Indian recipe where they made a green mango curry with skins on (but then again my eyes are over 50 so I want to confirm) and wanted to know if other countries did too.

Is the padek the same one I would use to make papaya salad? I followed a recipe to make padek for papaya but it has shrimp paste, crab paste, blue crabs, bottled padek (pantai), fish sauce, msg, and tamarind.
