I love these photo vlog! I agree on what you said about light, last day I was walking around in a park, with a beautiful sunset light all over the place, I've seen a little road with people running and others sitting in the grass and I've made the mistake of waiting to be on my way returning to the car to take that picture and the light was not as beautiful (and people were not here anymore). Good lesson learned to take the picture at the moment when the scene catches the eyes, everything change fast!

Lovely video as always. I normally watch your videos while I work overnights. Usually, I just watch the video for some inspiration and information (as I'm just starting out and I SOOOOO value your tips), give them a thumbs up, and then look for the next video, or images, or work on some of my own images, but this time I had to comment cause you had me chuckling. I just watched your "Something from Nothing" video, then downloaded the eBook and am reading it during a slow night at work. I just read the bit about when you first started TH-cam videos, and all of your self doubt, and how you've learned that if you just show your passion, no one will care about how you look, or when you trip or drop your camera or anything. I just want to say that I love your videos not in spite of these things, but because of them. It's lovely to see the real, behind-the-scenes process that you go through to get these fantastic images, while also getting to enjoy silly commentary, punny humor (Hope), etc., and even a bit of your non-photography life, and I really hope you're able to continue on with the videos for a long time. With social media and the web, there are soooo many people out there putting on a show just to get a few "likes" and I've become very careful about who I support, rather than just mindlessly clicking "like", because I want to support people who are not only good at what they do, but are genuine and not just another narcissist, or greedy bum. So, in short, I just wanted to say thanks for allowing us to see the behind-the scenes action, and sharing so much, and also thanks to Charlotte for letting us tag along on your romantic weekend getaway. ;)

Lots of photography for "not a landscape photography trip". I know your dilemma ;-) what works for me is usually a day of shopping with my girlfriend, which will compensate for me sneeking out for some sunrise and sunset shoots. Dinner is always a problem though... kind of overlaps with sunset too often *g*

Ive watched every one of your videos, and you inspire me so much to go out and shoot. My only issue is that there isn't much around me to capture that is really anything special. That sounds like an excuse, but whenever I go out locally, its just boring, flat landscapes. I am saving up for a photography weekend at the Lake District. I will also be buying Outdoor photography magazine now!

If you're bavk in the peak district I'd suggest going to Grind's Brooke (think that's how you spell it).
Head north from Edale up Kinder Scout.
Lots of interesting stuff on the way, and the whole trail is an enormous gulley.
Then i'd suggest going to the lakes (Derwent etc).
