Maybe you and Ming can do a blog on the difference btwn gay Japanese and Korean boys. How’s the attitude toward non-Japanese and non Korean men in the bars? Seems pretty friendly. What is certain is I would eat well there. Like Japan, the food in Korea is a big part of the cultural if not more so. I hope you had fun.👍😜🤪❤️

Never been to Seoul and it's great that you featured Itaewon gayborhood along with the current "in" spots to go to like East & West Club and King Club - looked like so much fun with your pals Will and Tiago! Tiago was such a queen while Will was more reserved. Is cute Tiago a Latino? Yummy! I Love Tea and desserts but here in South Florida there aren't many Tea Shops but Cuban and South American cafes abound - coffee culture is more alive here than tea. I have to fly to San Francisco/Bay Area instead to sample different Tea Houses and their offerings when visiting family. That Pat-bingsu Red Bean shaved ice was delishas but the Green Tea Cheesecake from Ossoluc in Anguk looked simply divine! Wished there was an Ossoluc Tea Shop here in South Florida. That "one size fits all" trend in Korea is NOT for me bec am 5'7" tall and them clothes would look Gargantuan - I'd look like a Sumo wrestler in them. Yesss, Jongno-sam-ga area is the way to gooo. When I first visited in 2012 I stayed in Hongdae, since then visited a couple of times and stayed at Jongno and it was really nice. This year stayed both at Jongno and also briefly stayed at Hongdae again, however Hongdae really is overrun with tourists compared to 2012, which I sort of expected or knew, but the stay there confirmed it's not for me. For that same reason, as well as simply not being a clubbing, shopping, going out kind of person it makes staying away from Itaewon easier. Videos like this make me miss Korea, if it were closer by I would be there much more often. Next stay in Seoul, planning on exploring the South. I like how most large cities have their own 'gay area', eventho I never go out, it does feel more relaxed moving around there, even if generally I've experienced nothing but kindness in South Korea.
The level of similarities from my trip to seoul in April to yours is insane, I just had the queen female version 😅. I stayed on that exact street in Jongno, had jjajangmyeon first, ventured out to explore the local scenery, had that exact binsu on the middle table on the same balcony, and had samgyeopsal on my last day.

I remember in Tokyo, they wouldn't let you in unless you speak Japanese. That one BBQ restaurant name made me go, huh? Chosunbutt?? lol Regarding these oversized clothes, yeah, not a big fan of them, either. I miss all the street foods in Korea!! Hopefully I'll get to visit again this fall.
I heard online that some of the clubs/ bars are selective in terms of age/ race/ look but I didn’t know encounter these issues. I was solo traveling last week and was able to go to Stud and the other gay bars in the same building and all were super friendly to a non-Korean speaking foreigner.
I recommend Olay regenerist line and stick with it. It is hypoallergenic deep skin penetration and consistently reasonable line that keeps improving itself. A line that's been around rates better than La Mer in blind testing and is cost effective! My two cents 😅Cheers! Allen
Very interesting and certainly on my bucket list of places to visit. I discovered Korean food a few years ago and it is now my favourite Asian Cuisine, overtaking Thai Cuisine. I often make my own Kimchi now. Make the most of eating as much calorie heavy foods as you want while it makes little or no difference to your weight. Up to my late thirties I could eat big meals and stay slim but alas no more...one choclate bar = another kilo in weight nowadays. You mentioned nothing about fun times in the sauna? Are you following the Japanese trend of no-fap and saving your seed? lol
When did u live in Seoul? A few friends have been asking me if we crossed paths. Did u got to any of the "sleeping rooms"? U should have gone to Public club on the main road of itaewon. I was back in Seoul this past April/May and it was busy. Hongdae has changed since when I used to live there..its now looking more like Myung dong 10-15 years ago.
I lived near SEOUL in the early 2000’s for one year and you could get AMAZING cheap knockoff designer cloths all over the city. Is this still the case? Or have they cracked down on these shops?
