What’s the point of that huge punch hole compared to the S20 when it actually has bezels?
They are in the business of ripping off designs...not thinking about why.
Bezels on tablets actually makes sense because you want a little space for holding the device without blocking the screen. 😊

Definitely some cool feature additions like 40W charging and reverse wireless charging - I'd actually use that daily. But these comparatively even thinner bezels are too thin for me, I have the 11" iPad Pro and any smaller would make handling it a pain, you need somewhere to rest thumbs... Definitely all now waiting to see how Apple hits back with their 2020 iPad Pro.

Actually it is very usable for face recognition instead of using a password. It's also good for Skype.

The problem with android is that it is difficult for developers to develop the apps because they need to make the apps work on every different type of device. Along with that, they don’t make as much money from those apps as they would with iOS because more people are willing to spend money on iOS apps then they would for android.

A big problem with this is the fact it runs Android. It’s amazing on smartphones but not really that good on tablets since most apps are just stretched out and not optimized. I think Windows might work but iPadOS is by far the best tablet software you can get in my opinion.
It is especially for professionals.
Don’t worry. I’ve tried this skin. It’s actually very similar to iPadOS and Huawei has done a good job teaming up with developers to optimize apps. Oh, and EMUI Desktop.
I don't know much about this device's app store, but I can tell you that it doesn't use Google play. There was news prior to release that Google, The U.S., and Huawei couldn't come to agreements in time. So they made their own app store if I'm not mistaken

Aditya Mishra it wasn’t just the design of the device itself, the wallpaper kind of looked a little like the ones Apple has on their iPads, and it has a similar app layout to the iPad

Samrath Singh Huawei is really good at copying apple, literally. They tried to bribe one of Apple suppliers to give them the plans for the Apple Watch and MacBook display ribbon technology and I find it completely feasible that Huawei took apart an iPad Pro to reverse engineer their own down to the similar stylus charging.

Ive always loved huaweis design and specs to price ratio. Whats holding me from getting one is the OS, lack of apps and its lack/uncertain support 4+ years from now. It is truly a marvel though.

@@mab3667 Anything above the SD855 or Kirin 980 is good enough. You don't need more then that, you can play every game on the highest settings with no stuttering or frame drops.

Engineers can't brag about the thinner bezels, mostly because I'm pretty sure everyone would have preferred the same thickness as the iPad as long as it had the camera in the bezels. And although the iPad has a smaller camera module it's actually almost as good as an iPhone XS selfie camera, it even has portrait

I don't need Google Play Services on a tablet. TH-cam here is working pretty nice with TH-cam Vanced and MicroG on the MatePad Pro
Yeah, Chrome OS or Windows on ARM would be better choices. I think Chrome OS wouldn't be an option due to the embargo, mind.

I actually like it. Google does not own everything in the world. Its great to have more alternatives. I personally use Xiaomi products. I took much of the Google crap off there and left Xiaomi apps on it.

I wish you would mention what the screen refresh rate is. iPad Pro's 120 Hz screen is what makes it a superior tablet and the best for used with the pen.

To be honest, I use android tablets to work for school projects and a lot of other stuff, and I went through 3 different tablets to see which one is (in my opinion) the best. I've tested a Samsung Galaxy S6 Tablet, a Lenovo YogaTab (i dont know if thats the name, I dont remember) and a Huawei Mediapad M5 Pro. In terms of productivity, the Samsung was slightly better than the Huawei, but a lot better than the Lenovo, in terms of playing games, the Lenovo was also slightly better than the Huawei and the Samsung, and the overall best was the Huawei. It ran pretty damn good, and it has support for every app you need. Plus you have the emui desktop, if you need to open 2+ apps so you can position them better and how you like. (I know, theres also the Samsung Dex, which is also pretty good) I've been using the Mediapad now for 1 year, and in my opinion, it is the best android tablet I've had so far (Notice : Still my opinion, don't be toxic about it)

It's a nice tablet. But the lack of play store is just making me doubt it. The stock launcher is not looking good also. But on the other hand I want to buy this tab for my note taking. I might reconsider what a pen and paper can do.
If it already makes no sense to get an Android tablet for productivity (or for anything), it makes less sense to get a Huawei...
android tablets are good for productivity and media consumption already, ive tried the ipad and i was seriously disapointed by the file managment system and the notifictions , same with the iphone

i bought matepad pro last week, this is a good tablet. pencil and keyboard is fantastic. Apps is not an issues. I love it.

The Huawei MatedPad Pro price in Malaysia 2020 is now $550 meaning it's Rm 2379 but I think it is very worth it! The huge storage space is 256GB, 8GB ram meaning good for playing games, 7020 Mah battery which lasts for 8-9 hours, 10.8 inch screen display and also packed with the powerfull kirin 990 which have super fast improved performance. I think this is also good for heavy users to play heavy games like pubg and freefire!

I saw the MatePad Pro when it first came out in China. It was pretty neat. The pencil was a little wavy though. The wireless charging support really threw me for a loop there though

Can the ipad charge another device? I can't justify buying a tablet but I wish the Mate XS was affordable and wasn't shunned by Google and prohibited by the US. It looks like an amazing device.

Android manufacturers should really focus on getting developers to make apps for them, and I'm not talking about apps like tiktok or smule, I'm talking about professional graphic apps with functionality similar to photoshop and illustrator, something that will appeal to designers, photographers and videographers, such a shame when they have the processing power but not the right apps and software to make it shine
