REALLY ENJOY WATCHING & LISTENING TO YOU GUYS!
Rooster was really trying to say he needs you guys figure out a way, time to do some things with him. He wants some of his childhood growing up stories and experiences know hows to be passed down. He said he wanted teach you things and you both said yeap yeap and basically didnt want hear it. I know it was because you dont want to think of Rooster ever being gone. Can be upsetting to hear that he is thinking about these things. Dont let these things be pushed under the rug it will bother him and later in life bother you that it was swept under the rug.
Rooster has worries & wants in his mind for his family. He has things that he wants to pass down to you guys, to his great great grandkids. He sits & hears the stories involving him as you guys grew up how things seemed in your eyes and etc.. he is realizing that there are things as he grew up that he never showed you how to do or told you his stories, and that is important that his stories and know hows are passed on.
I know a lot of my grandparents who raised me I know some of their lives as they grew up but now they are gone I realize I know not much of their growing up stories, experiences, and etc of their growing up. It bothers me I dont have that knowledge to pass on. Yes I have their life stories as I grew up I have lots of those but I dont have their stories as they grew up.
Rooster is a busy man but the excitement of showing you, teaching you experiencing something from his growing up to now do with you guys & you pass on those things will keep him excited about life, some of his worries that bother him he will no longer have, the laughter & doing things all helps keep Rooster going.
Dont let Rooster's worries and not having time to teach you, or feeling his growing up experiences will not be passed down, etc Dont let those things eat at him those things can really bother a man into depression.
You guys need to have Rooster make a list of things he really wants to teach you, show you, take you, tell you about stories of his growing up, things he wants to passed down. Take these things and once a month make your video about one of those things on his list. Let that be a new experience for you with Rooster as you learn about his growing up, or as you learn about a crazy moment in his life, or as he is teaching you how to make fire out of water(i know stupid example but you know what i am saying). This would give him excitement, to do the things he feels need to be done, gives you content, gives you new experiences & stories with Rooster about Rooster and a video that can be passed down.
Yes the podcast has given Rooster way tell stories. However he has a need to show you, teach you things he wants you to experience things he did growing up and have new experiences with him. So do it and since its always hard to find the time with all you do the farm, trucks, band, jobs, family, youtube, podcast, etc Then make Rooster's list a once a month video for youtube like you do for Rooster on podcast. Dont let the opportunity of Rooster wanting to do things, able to do things, time can do things together be passed over, put off or let the opportunity go by.
Sorry this was so long I tried editing myself but not so good about it as you can see, read, ignore it all.
    BE SAFE!
    KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! 👍

Great episode guys. I like seeing the three of you together telling stories. I feel like it is already an educational podcast as Jax has a plethora of information on trucking, the trucks, and ranching. Would like to hear him discuss his music more. Luke is a fount of information on several subjects.
I guess Idaho was not too prudent in conducting audits on privately run prisons as after the state prison in Boise was contracted out to a private company to operate the prison corruption became rampant, the private company was allowing gang members to run units in order to avoid having more employees to pay, and it was a huge mess with inmates writing letters of complaint to state legislatures, the governor, state attorney general, and even federal representatives. Fun times in the great old spud state!
Can’t wait for the next podcast, it will be interesting to meet another Allen brother. Until then stay safe on these slippin’, slidin’ roads. ❤️🙏

    • @steadyatthewheel
      @steadyatthewheel  ปีที่แล้ว

I just looked up the Idaho private prison story you reference...Sounds crazy! I wonder why there weren't audits to keep the place in check...my guess is that the state knew to some extent it was happening, but looked the other way because there was no other place to house inmates. That is just a guess, but wouldn't surprise me. Right now, prisons both private and govt. are severely understaffed. Big problem.

Years before my dad passed, I was living in another state. So I got my dad writing letters. Later when I moved closer to home, I used my tablet to record and write his stories out with him. Those were the best times of my adult life with him. We shared many a late night he and I. Jump on those times you can get with Rooster. Especially now that he has brought this up. You will never regret missing a haul out because you were with him doing something fun.

That is one of Trucking companies, and independant owner opps out there. The ones who run from southern States up into northern states and even up here into canada. They fill with deisel in the further south states, and come north as the thermometers drop in temp. The fuel ups they did down in the southern states jell up like pow. Worst is the newer not experienced drivers they have no idea about such and before they know it they are jelled off. years ago it was durring a major cold spell up here, it was like -40. I was sent half way between here in calgary to the couts boarder crossing for a shut down unit. I felt so sory for that gal she had been in that frozen shut down truck for over 4 hours. Fully tarping in that unit and a gallon of howes in each tank with my big Deisel heater trying to melt her fuel tanks enough to make it run I finally got it to start and run. But she was near Blue when i got there. sadly was her last trip she litterly actually quit. But that is the biggest problem they do not teach new drivers is make sure that fuel is conditioned for where they are going.

True Adventures in Dentistry story. I'm in the chair, in the midst of a cavity-filling session. Those painful cardboard wing-things wedged into my mouth, to keep it dry and open; and Dr. Toovey (name and profession checks out! 😂🦷) is in the midst of using one of those long dental devices...when the phone rings.
'Hold this for me, please,' the dentist tells ME---and I end up clutching said device, unable to utter a word, as Toovey decides to Take the Call: it's his real estate agent! 😁😁😂😂🤣🤣
