As a sinner, just today I realized the love my father has for me can never be taken. So many times the enemy deceived me into believing his love and forgiveness is something to earn, however, his kingdom isn’t something we can earn its a gift just like forgiveness. We’ll never be good enough but his love is enough. So if you are a sinner like me, you’re not alone, it comes with living. God loves you and forgives you! 💕

This song just came on K Love and I remember hearing a verse about the call not being returned and thought about my son. I was like "hey Toby Mac can relate" and the song just made me feel better about my Son being able to get up when he falls. I am grateful for Toby and the time he had with his son because it will impact others for years to come

i may have skipped over this song till i read the news today and that this song was sorta written with your son in mind.
i love every single song i have ever heard you sing and i'm not a religious type of person. the music is just great. loving, and inspirational.
many of your songs have driven me to tears because the lyrics are so powerful.

i wish i knew what to say although nothing anyone can say will ease the pain of today.
even though we've never met and you have no idea who i am, i love you and hope you can find some way to make it thru the day and the days to follow.

I felt toby’s heart when I heard “Elements” and “scars” when the album was released. I perceived that maybe something strange was going on in his family, his lirics and his album cover tells all is winter in toby’s life now, (meaning hard times),

I couldn't get enough this song and I really didn't know why... a month later on valentines day 2019 my dad died. He was a struggling alcoholic, he was trying to quit drinking for me and my siblings, so we could have a relationship. The withdrawals were too much, he went into cardiac arrest and died. We had the best relationship the last 2 years of his life and I'm thankful for that. I know god had a plan and knew this song was gonna help me through it and it did. I cried and played this song over and over. Such a inspiring song and my favorite, it'll always make me think of him. I didn't even know it was for your son, such a testament of your faith in God. I am so sorry for your loss, nothing compares to the pain of losing our loved ones.
My friend just tried to commit suicide last night. She has tried 9 times and she is only 13 years old. I’m sending this song to her to let her know, she’s not the only one with troubles. God is with us no matter what happens, and He always loves us.

This was your son’s allotted time on earth - shorter I’m sore than you would have liked, but who are we to question God’s plan. From what you say, he lived every day to the fullest and brought much joy to you and those he encountered. Like ALL of us, he was flawed, broken and had many scars, but he was loved by God and is with Him now. Your loss is great I know but Heaven’s gain is so much bigger than your loss.

Hey TobyMac sorry about Truett. I had a brother who died from cancer. About 7 or 8 months later my Mom had me and I understand how sad it was for you because one time I had a dream that he came back to earth and when I woke up I cried because I remembered he was dead. Anyway I wanted to tell you I've been starting to listen to your songs everyday [ literally everyday ] and I always sing them in my ind in class. My favorite song of all is speak life.

This song reminds me of my friend, Doug. In high school he was a strong Christian, and was one of the reasons I surrendered my life to Christ. Now that we reconnected after 4 years of silence, I learned he’s living as a woman , and is an avowed atheist.
I met up with him a few months ago; he says he’s doing well, but in all honesty, I don’t believe him. He seemed very sad.

But it can happen to any of us when we let the world and its evils slip in. I feel brokenhearted anytime a brother or sister in Christ falls away. I have so many scars that I'm pretty sure most people don't have but I love this song. Can someone please explain to me how to praise Him and see the good in anything when you are in the thick of depression. I'm trying. Hard. But I just can't see it anymore.

It’s probably so incredibly hard for him to listen to this, knowing he wrote it for Truett. But at the same time, it might also be the OPPOSITE, and remind him of truett and comfort him and make him feel so good. I hope it’s the latter, because it’s an amazing song and it’s blessed me and so many others.
