So this means the Word Bearers were supposed to be mini-emperors. Yeah i could see a court of space marines lead by a word bearer. A dark angel as the military general, blood angel champion, Ultramarine statesmen, Death Guard who is the head of farming, Iron warrior architect supreme, Imperial Fist as the head of Construction. Etc. Etc.
The Word Bearer's original mission was to mainly just spread the faith, however Lorgar had an ability to literally change people's perspectives with only a handful of words, so he managed to change the original mission to them preaching about the god emperor wherever they went, this same ability made it easy for him to convert most if not all of his legion to chaos.

Awesome vid, this book was beautiful and its the one where it reveals the origins of the Church, it does fit.
This was one of the first 40k books I had ever read. When I got to this part I almost lost my shit.
