    @Jon Gay, Who is responsible for loading and unloading Vans. I know truck drivers are not responsible for loading and unloading trucks but are the van drivers responsible? If they are responsible for loading and unloading than one person cannot operate a van and that would be too expensive. Your answer will be helpful.

      @inmotiondispatch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      95% of the time there is someone at the l shipper or receiver to do so. From time to time the driver may have to assist with a palletjack or lift gate operating if needed.

      most of the time i unload my box truck myself with my pallet jack to speed up the process and get the load checked and signed out, to save time! but you can sit in your cab and wait to get it unloaded but it could take up to 2-3 hours if they are busy.

  • @Sarasdad91
    @Sarasdad91 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    To be non DOT regulated, you can't haul more than 10k lbs total. That's the freight combined with truck weight. If you have a sprinter van, you know you can't load more than 3500 lbs, maybe 4000 for a promaster, or Transit. as the vans are not designed to haul more. Most DAT loads I've seen, offer very low pay for long driving hours. Sometimes, you might find one at 1.00 a mile, but rarely more than .40 to .60 cpm...Why? Because too much competition. You don't have to have a CDL, many retirees, instead of buying a motorhome and travel in America, they're buying sprinters and hauling freight to get paid to see America instead. Then the small independents are bidding low to get the freight. Get a CDL B....and buy a straight truck if you can, you'll get many more and better paying load offers...

      Where do you suggest I can find those better paying if I have a 26ft box truck GVWR 33k

    • @Sarasdad91
      @Sarasdad91 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@amdyniang5949 They are getting harder to find, because many people are hauling freight. All you can do is search. If you have a 26 truck, andl get loads out of a big city like Chicago, the trick is bid on multiple loads that pay separately. If you get a load going to El Paso TX, take unrelated loads that pay separately and drop on the way to El Paso. Thats how money is made in this game with so much competition. Good luck...

    I want to know what type of loads I should look for with an Extended Cargo Sprinter Van. 5,000 to 7500 towing capacity. I'm looking to start my own company and want to know the possible profits I can make per week per van. If you could please let me know.

    Brother, the rates are so f. ridiculous!. 😳 What's your point here?

    • @inmotiondispatch
      @inmotiondispatch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sam Verdes the point is to show people how to use the load board to find more loads for their equipment. Negotiating rates and the lanes are on you, if you take the posted rate, that’s a bad a business practice. You have to negotiate and know your worth. This is also one lane in PA, the rates may not be as good there as others.

    • @samverdes1915
      @samverdes1915 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@inmotiondispatch No Sir, it is simply a worthless piece of video. Brokers just allow to negotiate on a very narrow range. Based on those rates it's still not worthwhile. To run your authority over such a lousy business model based on continuously "begging" to brokers it's just a game for fools. I know there are plenty of this kind out there. I wish the industry wouldn't be destined to behave like it is today, but it is unfortunately.

      Sam Verdes no one is saying these are the rates you should move your truck for man. It’s simply an instructional video on how to utilize the search tool . Feel free to troll someone else’s video. Thanks

      @@inmotiondispatch Troll your video, noooo man. Just gave you my thoughts on this you decided to do a video teaching people to use the board in order to bankrupt.

    • @inmotiondispatch
      @inmotiondispatch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sam Verdes the name of the video isn’t “use this way to Find all your loads” it’s how to use the load boards, it’s a tutorial not a guide on how to run your business. Using loadboards exclusively is not the ideal way to run a company , you are correct. But, it is a good way to fill in the gaps when you don’t have loads from direct shippers or outside customer
