Thanks for bringing up the people who got screwed by Sunday ticket without ever buying because it was too expensive, as a “displaced” fan it was either pay $400 or take your chances with a virus trying to find a livestream 🙄
I got so used to watching the Cubs, Braves AND my local team back in the day.
I also remember when the NFL home games in my market did not sell out, so it was blacked out.
I'm an old fart...
Florio always says the most basic and obvious things like he’s discovered some remarkable revelation that no one else has noticed or could understand. He always does that
TY for covering the NFL Sunday ticket case. It’s also terrible for us in the military. I just want to watch the Steelers, no matter where the Army sends me!!!
i dont get how they got sued for charging too much for a package? i dont get it, its their product?
@@beatsNstrings because there are emails of them admitting they were purposefully overcharging so people wouldn't buy it.
@@Whiskey61 i still dont get it. I produce a product, i set the price higher than ppl want to buy. Thats a crime? Last i check ill just get low sales. Last i checked you can set the prices for your own product high or low as you want?
@@beatsNstrings this wasn't a criminal case
@@Whiskey61 ok, well im just now finding out you can sue someone for charging too much for a product that not a single person needs🤔😂. I could see if you had all the water in the town and charged million dollar water bottles. I dont get it in context of a sports pay per view

Mike thanks for the discussion on rookie contract negations. I’ve always wondered this
Of course Florio criticizes other media outlets for not covering the Sunday Ticket Trial and yet Florio himself is unwilling to travel to LA to properly cover the Sunday Ticket Trial. hmmm
He is the most honest and sincere voice in the football landscape
Than you Mike for the Information. THIRTY years a long long time
One thing I think is wrong with the ticket is the blackout rules. People who pay for the right to see NFL games in my opinion should be able to access all games with the ticket, even the local games. It's inconvenient to have to go to the local network stations to watch the Panthers games. Not a big deal, but a matter of principle and ethics to me.
I think if you sign a player fully guaranteed contracts and fire him. He should get paid by that team and anybody else who wants to hire him should pay market value.

I died. 😂
Gotta agree. I'm a Jets fan since Heidi, but at age 42 I was moved from NY to Tampa. I'm now in Oregon. I always wanted to buy the Jets games (I know, waste of money any way you cut it) but I just cannot afford the cost.
According to Mike it's 3 more years before we get true resolution on the NFL ticket case . Maybr that's the reason the case isn't really being covered much.
If the NFL hadn't raised the prices on the Sunday ticket, Fox & CBS might have lost enough money to lessen the bids from all providers for NFL TV rights that allow the Cap to be over $230 Million.
I think the NFL kept the price up to ensure bad teams still had a fan base, not to protect the TV packages. I am a fan of two teams because they are the two teams I had available where I lived, not because I picked them. Bad organizations don't want people to have the ability to not watch their games. It was about protecting/maintaining fanbases for the owners, not the TV deal.
Keep me posted Mike I have paid annually since 1994!!
Lol man sounds like Florio is really looking forward to tying one on!

It feels like the 4th of July 👊
Simms lives in all of us...
Thousands of us posting and 6 or less likes. .. on thousands of views?... that speaks for itself.😮
@ 12:16 Yes, exactly. Thank you. I've been trying to make that point forever.... As part of any settlement, there should be a process where you can say "Hey, if you WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS for $70 bucks, fill out this form..."
And it's real simple to enter that group: If you never had Sunday ticket, Fill this out online, and next season will be available to you for $70 bucks. If you verified paid the money, you are in the lawsuit, and can collect.... Very simple.
Then we would really have a picture of who was damaged by the price fixing....
The only problem is, the NFL will probably MAKE MORE MONEY doing it that way, which will feel dirty, and wrong.....
PFT posts a video ---> I consume.
Thank you Mike Florio!
Your absolutely correct. I bought the ticket a few years here and there. I'm a Patriots fan in Carolina. I am in the class of this case. I would have, as you stated purchased the ticket the entire 30 years had it been affordable for my budget, and collectively the NFL would have made much more from me as a customer even at a lower annual cost. There broadcast audiences for the network games were protected by the blackout rules.
Thats Good Sports has been covering it as well. He's goofy but he's talked about the Sunday Ticket issue several times
I usually hate lawyers but like florio.. Make it make sense lol
At 31 minutes: Florio asking, “Who are these teams bidding against when giving contracts to these QBs?” HE STOLE THAT FROM SIMMS. Simms said it first. He’s the one that knows football, not Florio. And the minute Florio heard that, I started hearing him say it all over different media. And he never gives Simms credit. He just wants to look like he’s the smart clever one that sees the game in a unique way but no. No no no. That’s never Florio. That’s Simms. This is why I always call Florio a fraud con-artist thief
tell people not to sign up for Sunday ticket
Yeah, but in this era of making mountains out of molehills that's too obvious. Wish zi could give this multiple thumbs up.
Should the patriots extend Matt Judon's contract?
Mike U can be Honest about LA. I feel U. I'm with U when it comes to LA... 😂

Florio wants Parsons to hold out after he disappeared in the playoffs again
What a weird stance to take. Florio doesn’t like preparing for the worst case scenario. Hmm so you don’t possess any insurance coverage whatsoever?? I’m sure your business has some kind of insurance. The NFL is a business so it’s only smart to protect your assets
im a victim if there is any product in the world that i cant afford!!!!! please, if an lawyer read this... i beg you to help!! i am a victim!! it not fair that i am being priced out of something just because i dont that much money!!! oohhh help!!!!

If the NFL can’t do what they did, what will they do now?
12:50 You're a Bears fan in Utah... 😓

14:01 that’s correct Mike I one of the people who has been screwed and I appreciate you highlighting it. I don’t mean that sarcastically either. I make good money most six figures but I’m not great with my money that’s on me or also fuck the NFL for intentionally trying to keep me from the experience I live in Colorado. I wanna watch my giants. I’m from the east coast.
Happy 4th PFT, I normally listen to the show however, today I got to watch. Mike…. You need a new camera. Enjoy the holiday boys.
The Broncos have never drafted a great QB...
You are being unfair and not being realistic by the Jets. You give them easy points to criticize u Mike. I can understand guys like Jake Asman mocking because you make terrible points. Not on every point though.
How does the Sunday Ticket verdict affect the international fans? I'm not sure if Sunday Ticket is international. I can't get anything except CBS, FOX, and TSN (for ESPN)
Sadly we get hosed big time in Canada. I quit it 7 years back because it was getting way too expensive. My Broncos have been a mess so I was losing patience
DAZN has the rights to Sunday Ticket in Canada, I believe. 30 bucks a month for 4 months. So, about 95 USD for the regular season. And then the post season is broadcast on the aforementioned Rogers' channels.
And that's if you're going about it on the up and up.
@@ApesWithEgos I did not know this. I bet though that DAZN has that thing called negative option billing where when you don’t cancel after the fact they continue to charge you. Also make you jump through hoops to cancel. Is there any truth to that?
Actually, I pause my subscription every January. They let you hold it for 9 months.
I haven’t gone through with a cancelation yet.
@@ApesWithEgoson a slightly different perspective I am a Amazon Prime member yet in Canada we can’t view the games they carry because TSN has the broadcast rights. That is a freaking joke as far as I’m concerned

While I agree that the whole premise of Sunday ticket was so stupid to have to pay that much, and it reflects horribly on the NFL as a greedy corporation, I hate hope litigious we are as a country. No one made you pay for this thing 😂. And the thought that people who COULDN'T and DIDN'T purchase it are still victims that could be owed something is hilarious lol. Too much deliberation in this country, just vote with your wallet.
Have you talked about Green Bay announcing Ed Policy as the new President?
Policy? Any relation to Carmen Policy? The
@@juanortuno565 Yes, his son.
For any team that wants to win Superbowls (surprisingly it appears its not all of them), Dak Prescott, is NOT going be on their list. He has proven himself as a decent starter when the Cowboys are doing well. When the pressure ramps up against the best teams in the biggest games and the playoffs, he falls well short. It is not just one season... it is every season of his career. EIGHT seasons in a row big games and playoffs, he is just not good enough. Maybe it changes but it is a fools bet based on the evidence. ZERO chance I would be giving him another contract at any price if I am chasing a Superbowl. Any team that wants to pay top dollar for Dak, I would question whether those people should be in charge.
Much better to a take a gamble on a rookie or proven veteran. Dak has cemented his place firmly in mediocrity throughout his career.
Only a lawyer would try to make up a victim by saying they suffered for 30 years because they DIDN'T buy nfl ticket.
Same thought. Hes calling you a victim if you thought nfl sunday ticket was too expensive and saved your money😂

More people in the media aren't covering the case because they have a life and are on vacation
Turned some folks into criminals just to watch the fav team. Not me. of course but someone I am sure.....
I think Tua's problem is the guarantee is going to be significantly less than what he wants, short term I would be happy to do what Jones did. The networks should get a cut of Sunday Ticket since it is their production that the NFL is sending, and they are not so pure they would not show ads and get ad money during the network ad breaks. The Cowboys are like a lot of teams they back side large contracts like Dak to go all in on a Super Bowl the next 2 years, they didn't reach that Super Bowl and the bill is due. Love is better of delaying his contract, he puts himself into a spot where the Packers say to themselves Love will be out QB in 5 years, he is going to get a market value contract and franchising makes no sense, unless you are betting on him sucking and everyone getting fired. His agent will call the bluff after franchise year 1 and things like fake money on the back side is replace with a Dak poison pill. If Rogers does not put in at least a games worth of playing in the preseason, he plays 2 or 3 series in preseason or none if he is not ready, has not played in a good part of 2 years, and that Packer offense was around 15 and would have been lower with the Jets coaching and the age.
Mike we love you but don't quit your day job for acting. 😁
Floria. (Not Florio) Will you ever regret not covering or pay some intern hundreds to cover the open-to-the-public trial?... YOU, a millionaire plus, can't complain about the media (ain't you that?) not covering the details of the case. (FREE ADVICE: offer an intern work, as it is worth it.) This is ridiculous.
That’s not the point dude 😂 this is a major national class action case against the NFL and as of now the consumers are winning. It’s a big deal and it should be getting way more coverage, end of story. Whether he’s in the media or not it’s more than fair to question why no one else is covering it.
