Glad you like it. First, are you familiar with the tuning ? A previous comment from Village & Hunter Hues asked about it, and I provided a link to my friend Guy Wolff's explanation. Start there. TH-cam gives you the ability to slow videos down to as much as 25% speed. I've learned quite a few tunes I play that way. You should probably try that. Thanks for your kind thoughts ! :)
@@steveallerton9124 Haha, for sure. I was looking for the easy way! Just about got it down now though! I notice that this tuning sounds very similar to Sawmill - just a little bit of a sweeter undertone in my opinion. Tried playing it both ways and it sounds good!
You did a wonderful cover of this song. Your voice is very clear and easy to listen to. it reminds me of rain on the mountain, hitting the tin roof while my grandpa played his violin and guitar. thank you for giving me back those sweet memories.
Thanks. I think guitar experience with the left hand probably makes the transition easier in that respect. In the case of Clawhammer style, I'd say there's a little work to be done with the right hand.
Hi Hunter. I learned about the tuning used in this case from my friend Guy Wolff. Here's a link to his detailed explanation of the tuning. He explained it as being in E. I might argue it's in the key of C# minor (the relative minor of E :) ) Thanks for looking in! th-cam.com/video/Qt117M4AfHk/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for listening, and for your kind words. Glad you liked it!
Is it difficult to change from guitar to banjo. Loved the song by the way.

@@steveallerton9124 thank you.
Such a beautiful rendition! What tuning do you use?
