Hi all sorry its been a while. I know alot of you are asking about uploading games I will do my best to get a video at the weekend on how you do this.
Also if you have the floppy screen make sure you are running as admin, and make sure chipset is a1200. And make sure you save those configuration but when you start up with uae don't forget to hit load!!!!
all done :-)

Hi Netti! would it be possible, for you to add an adventure games section to your library?
In terms of genres yes you can that may be a video for another day. But you can categorise them and when you are in igame, the column on the right hand side you can have games linked to there. You have to do each one manually. My advice have a play around with igame. I did do it on my own amiga, but it's a been a long while so I'll see if I can put something together for this
@@NettiGaming cool, I'm into all the old classics. Loom, Indiana Jones, Monkey Island, Dark Seed, Simon The Sorcerer, Flight of the Amazon Queen etc. I notice you do have a couple of click & point ones already installed, but would be great to have many more!
I waited YEARS for a guide like this...thank you for bringing me back to the old times! Amiga Power
I just had to tell you how incredible this video is. More than the video is the setup you've provided and explained how to make work. It is so much fun, I have spent hours and hours just opening all the games and listening to the music, going through all the demos and pictures its just awesome. I have only recently started learning about amiga computers and so having something straight forward was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much.
I forgot how much of a pain computers could be. Thanks for the upload.
I have been struggling, trying to figure out WinUAE for a while now and this tutorial was AMAZING! Super simple and the added download with all the needed files was perfect! I am now jamming to MOD files while I work! I can't wait to get other files installed on the HDD and also get into those games! Thank you again for setting this up! :)
most simple amiga set up vid i've seen. thank you! and i hope you don't mind me saying, your accent is fantastic!
The Amiga was my very first computer (it was a 500+) then upgraded to a 1200. I held out a while before transitioning to a PC believing that it was the best all around computer system every made! (I still think it could have been the best today if it wasn't for poor company management). That all being said THANK YOU for the time and effort in bringing this to us, it brought me and I'm sure most here a great deal of nostalgic Joy!
Yes i agree wholeheartedly with all you have said. Especially the poor management.
But thanks to the Amiga community its never really gone ♡
Hi Netti. I owned an A500 when I was a teenager in the 1990s. The nostalgia for the past led me to research simulator applications and I discovered its channel. Thank you very much, I relived those days. 😇😇😇
Great video. I hope when someone else wants to play Amiga games and doesn't know how, they find your video first. I'm playing Amiga now with no headache, thank you.
Oh thats wonderful. Happy gaming
Wow thanks so much for this, after watching a few WinUAE videos I was thinking 'is there a file that does it all' and this is it. I'm having an Amiga nostalgia kick recently :)
Me too this is what started me back off. I created this for my aunt and uncle who gave me an amiga in the 90s. Sparked a love that has NEVER LEFT ME!!!
happy gaming xx
This is a really awesome gift to us all. I had the C64 as a kid, and the Amiga was a dream of mine. Now I can give my inner child the gift!
Thank you so much for this video. Been struggling with winuae and this video helped me out a lot!! Brings back memory's from my first amiga 30 years ago.
I'm so glad i could be of help to you my friend.
@@NettiGaming I have one little issue. The games that ask to be stopped with the prtsc button. I can't find the appropriate button on my keyboard. Can you tell me the correct key on an azerty keyboard by any chance?
I came across this video purely by chance. I've dabbled with Winuae in the past and was always stumped by adding a HD. So thank you for this video tutorial, your a life saver :)
It works now! Yes! Now I can go back to my childhood :)
Thanks for posting this Netti!
Very great video. I love a woman that knows her way in the emulation sector! I love your accent! Hello from Nebraska!
Thank you so much for this upload. Also D.O.S and old OPENGL based games tutorials are also very welcome and needed!
Looking into that next. Admittedly I dont do a great deal of content. I prefer to work on something for a long period then put a video out I think would be useful. Dont like making videos for likes or the sake of it. I'm swaying towards DOS and scumm :-)
Had an Amiga when i was in my late teens ,alway's had to swap drives to play games ,Thanks so much for this !
Hi hun. I had an Amiga 500 as a kid and it is still my favourite gaming and computer system to this day. Thanks Netti for your effort, it's good to play some of the classic games again. If only the Amiga made a comeback.
Make Amiga great again 👍
How many former Amiga owners here also had a hard drive labeled "Stuff"? I love it!
Yes, hahaha. Stuff or Data, now it's called Bigone lol. My workbench disk was called Awesomebench
My hard drive wascalled bloody hell fire! Because of the times I cocked things up😀
I only dreamed of having a hard drive w/ my A500
works like a charm, I am shocked how much work u put into it. it would be a sin not to enjoy it now. waiting for more
Excellent so glad I could bring a bit of Joy.
Woke up this morning and fancied playing some old Amiga favourites. Watched your two setup videos and now I'm happy as Larry. They were very clear to follow. Thank you!
Nice video thanx. And nice work everthing works super nice.
Finally someone who can explain to help me! your awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks so much for the amazing files and help! i have asked for help in many groups and noone can explain ... your vid is amazing!
So glad it helped ❤️
I truly appreciate the effort you put into this, thank you! I've been playing around with PCEM, DOSBOX, and other ways of emulating old hardware but I had yet to experience the Amiga. I'm going to have some fun now :)
Thank you Netti, had me grinning from ear to ear and so easy to get running. I have playted with WinUAE in the past but this is far the simplest way to be able to show my kids what my youth gaming was about. Rock on IK+ and Cannon Fodder. Thank you.
You are most welcome mate. Happy gaming
Thanks so much for this software and tutorial in this video. I am having so much fun re visiting games I played when I was a young man. Could not have done it without this amazing video and software provided. So kind of you!
You are most welcome my friend. Happy gaming .
Nelli, Awesome video. I had a heck of a time trying to get VICE c64 emulators working. The Amiga emulator is in another league and you're instructions were perfect in getting this setup. Thank you very much!
What a brilliant video & thank you for setting up an image & providing - this is awesome! You have saved me so much time going through the pain!!! subscribed!
20:00 in you mentioned that the "*" or asterisk to exit a game where it says press prtscrn - on a UK keyboard this is the asterisk above 9 on the keypad (not the * on the 8 key!)
Thanks for this video. I will never get the hours back that I spent trying to get UAE to work but I will try this tomorrow and hopefully I will be playing Wizball, Speedball II and F/A16 interceptor in the next 24 hours. I will try to report back on my progress but hopefully I will be shooting down missiles in the bay area. Thanks again for a brilliant explanation of a difficult piece of software.
Good luck 👍
@@NettiGaming Hi again. It would not work last month so I gave up. I came back tonight and have it working. The only change I Had to make was when installing the hard file I changed it to UAE rather than IDE(auto). Off to play WizBall now. Thanks so much for all your hard work, you have made an old amiga lover very happy!!
haha i dint expect it to come full of games, very nice work
god bless you , thank you for making this video , you made me smile so much reliving these old classics .
I am glad to be of service 😊😇
Great video. You just took me back in time 30 years. Living in Doncaster, buying my A1200, 200MB hard drive from Power COmputing via an ad in Amiga Format. Stacks of Fred FIsh demo disks. Good times. Thank you. 🙂
THANK YOU! I have been on a Amiga nostalgia kick since the announcement of the A500 Mini. I have tried emulators before but ever got them to work, bit this one did! I hooked up my C64 joystick and I am all set! You made a great tutorial. Thanks again.
That's kind thank you. I'm glad I could be of help
This was amazing, had me up and running in minutes. This will see me until I can lay my hands on the real thing. Thank you!
Totally agree, was a great guide and lets me play some of the great Amiga titles.
Great stuff Netti... admiration for this video from an old C64 gamer
Thank you for your gret job,,,you make me remember all my old days when I was 18 with Amiga 600,,games and demo,,,I will try step by step and I hope all things will be good,Thank you so much again
I love your accent, thank you for this wonderful tutorial it was just what I needed
thank you so much! i always wanted to try amiga games because i have always loved old games (im 19) this helped so much
I'm so glad it helped xxx
Thanks for producing this video it has really helped me to download the Amiga Emulator for the first time many thanks.
Thenk you so much! Thanks to your default configuration, I was finally able to run the BTT 2 game...
Brilliant and just what I was looking for, many thanks for all the hard work that went in to creating this!
@Nathan Prescott I'm hearing you chap. I too was struggling to get a system up. YOU - Netti changed ma world ...Thank you for sharing.
Just as an aside to anyone who knows how to grab Kickstart ROMs from various ways on the internet and uses Linux Mint, I just wanted to say that this configuration's Harddisk is AWESOME! I always wanted a workbench install that had iGame installed, and love love love it!.
Using this with FS-UAE on Linux Mint to launch into this config in full screen, and picking games from iGame with the 'RUN' command. Love your setup so much, feels way more legit now :).
Thanks a ton! Going to port this over to an SBC setup to make my own Amiga with a 3D printed Amiga case via the Mister wedge PC case tutorial on TH-cam :)
Oh thats so wonderful!!! Have fun 🥰
Hi Netti, I just have to say thanks for being so generous with you're skills and time, Respect
Really nice and helpful video. Your voice is sympathetic as well, thanks for the upload! :)
a bundle of joy in a neat package , thank you very much for the nostalgia trip.
Happy to bring a little joy
@@NettiGaming You did , i was a ST user in the days but Amiga games are better (with very few execeptions). You made it easy to get a sound enviroment. Just one question how can i add some whload games ? igames doesnt recognise the one i paste in the hdd.
@@jda4887 first off in the whd load menu under hard drive you can add a folder from your pc to link into I usually label mine work, and DH1 and have bootable unticked this will allow you to add files on to your setup. Then when you transfer your whd load file over put it in the games folder.
Then when you go into I game scan for repositories.
28 mins in to my other video shows you how I did this.

PERFECTO muchas gracias este video me lo explico de maravilla es la primera vez con me ha funcionado.(he visto muchos video pero no me funcionaba . con este video estando en otro idioma me entere sin problema.:):)--PERFECT thank you very much this video I explain it wonderfully is the first time it has worked for me. (I have seen many videos but it did not work for me. with this video being in another language I found out without problem.
Hi Netty, hope you are good,im new to subscribing to channels and never really find anything out there that interests me,but im a big fan of all 80,s retro gaming and also had an amiga 500 and 600 for donkeys years which i loved, so thanks for all your help and setups too, amazing, but im struggling with some stuff,so hopefully you can help me with a couple of setups which im having trouble with, thanks and have a great day......
Yes what's the pickle?
This was really nice set up and easy thank you
So glad it could help my friend
My big respect Netti. I spent days and months to setup WinUAE to work, and with Your video, specially with .hdf file it was so easy...thank You. I will always recommend You video about WinUAE setup.
i got it working instead of clicking IDE(auto) it worked by selecting UAE
thank you for the video
I love this video. It is very well put and works perfect. Thank you
brilliant.. im an amiga fan..thanx a million..this set up is the biz...bin looking for ages for a set up for ...winuae..many thanks....
My pleasure 😊
Followed your steps, and it works, thanks for this
Big thanks! Really helpfull and great work for the Community!
Thank you Martin. Glad to be of help
Great job. Now I need to see how I can move my old Amiga files to this emulator. It will be nice to see all my old amiga files again. So long ago.
What a lovely task you have ahead x
@@NettiGaming Got all the files recovered thanks to you. Really appreciate it. So nice to see this old system up and running again.
Thanks alot Netti very helpful the Amiga has always been my favourite console followed by the Snes... loved playing Moonstone and Speedball 2 again keep up the good work 👏 👍
I am using the fs-uae amiga emulator on linux and it runs great..the internet archive has a large collection of adf files to download..thank you netti.
This is fantastic..thankyou so much! And I liked your readme...was nice..
Great video, so simple after seeing this! I owned a heavily modded A1200 in the day, but my memory fails me with all the settings etc...Now that the Emulator is running like it should. I t should all start coming back to me! Thank you!
Thanks heaps for this, I'm a total novice to computing. TOTAL! I've just bought a laptop in the vane hope I'll be able to play sensible world of soccer again one day, so this helps me no end!! 💞👏🙂
This was a very pleasant tutorial. You made Amiga emulation make complete sense, thank you! The only thing I had to do differently was use UAE instead of IDE:0 when setting up the harddisk file, IDE:0 doesnt work on my setup for some reason. I don't play video games though, Im using the system to run OctaMED soundstudio.
Glad it helped! Happy Gaming
Thank you for this tutorial and files, it worked!
hiya Netti ,nice to see someone who is into retro stuff as i am ,i have been posting a few Amiga demos on here and i did use whdload a few years back .Nice to see you took the time to post a vid on how to and take your time to actually post the needed files somewhere for people to upload .Excellent job ,keep the good work going and long live the Amiga ,oh and the Amstrad CPC 464 ;)
Yes. Let's make Amiga great again ;-)
For years i have tried to figure out emulators and a way to play the old amiga games. Finally a video that is simple enough for even the most computer illiterate like me. Thank you so much for the effort you put into not just creating this video, but the simple set up itself. Very greatful. I look forward to the next video showing how to add other games. Will you also include where to get them from please? In particular Premier manager 2, cannon fodder, Syndicate and sensible soccer (if they aren't already included in this file)
oh and flashback !
Video now uploaded x
Total genius. Monkey Island 2 in the games folder?... oh boy!
Netti thank you so much for this !!
For full screen and best picture settings:
In display separator change fullscreen from 800*600 to native, windowed to 1280*1024 and native to fullscreen, mark the centering horizontal and vertical option and the filtered low resolution option also. After that go to filter separator and change from no scalling to automatic scalling and in aspect ration correction choose disabled option. in extra settings choose point/ bilinear and change it to 1.
And save configurations off course!
Obrigado Rui! 👍👍
Thanks so much for the video. Exactly what i was looking for . Got it working Awesome, what memories . thank you so much.
Is supercars 2 in that gamelist and oops up. Oh yeahhhhh
thank you that was amazing
i use WinUae for a long time and now this is the first time to use the HD files :)
Great thanks Netti
Wow, such a treasure, thank you so much :)
You are most welcome my friend
You are most welcome my friend
Thank you i`ve missed cannon fodder so much.
Thank you!!! you're an absolute legend.
Hello netti, how's u,well I got my pickle sorted after weeks of sleepless nights,😂,I actually had to move to xp ,I kept losing my hdd file in Windows 7,would u believe, nightmare, anyway I have made my own hdd for my wii u,and omg,I was floored when it loaded up,amazing, can't thank u enough, I never actually thought I could have done it,so now I'm going to try and install whdload, thanks netti, amazing, hope u r well, and take care,Wayne
Gosh I had no idea windows 7 would be such a bother.
Hiya netti, neither did I, but it just did not work for me,and I read something about xp for winuae setup, and luckily I love xp for all my converting software for the Wii u,so I changed my hdd to xp with a fresh winuae setup and also I saved my winuae hdd in the root of winuae folder, then once I installed my better wb I saved it again then I checked my date and time on my saved hdd file, and it was perfect,so then moved it over to my wii u sd,and it loaded up first time,I'm actually so happy right now, cool, amazing netti, thank u 😂
@@WayneSmith-i7v so cool. I love xp too. Well done for figuring it out. I'm gonna pin ur post in the hope it will help others 🙏
No problem ,thanks netti, I take it you have always loved retro gear,I must admit,I'm not into the xbox or ps5,I love my Sega cd games, especially lawnmower man, that is amazing game for its time, the graphics blew me away when it was released, but it never was released in the pal version, only American, so I had to buy the converter cartridge for it,and honestly I was totally skint that week lolol.
Netti you are the best - thanks so much for putting this together - subbed!! by any chance did you get around to putting together instructions on how to add content. I have a freeware game I'd love to add - Colonial Conquest II.
I promise its coming. Its 2nd class but its on its way. You can in the hard drive tab in uae create a folder, label it DH1, and direct it to a folder on your pc. Then download said whd load game. Move it to your chosen folder then inside winuae in the amiga, move it to your games folder
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for this.. Very useful indeed...you sound like a fellow midlander btw :)
That I am!
I’m just finding out about this all I want to play is dungeon master I’ve given up. Nothing works on my laptop. :( gutted. Follow step by step and I’m a failure. ‘Cries’
@@richardpearce4079 You are not the only one :)
Great video, and I followed every step until 10:44 when you launch. At the point I just got the standard tick and floppy that you had before asking the hard drive link or in previous attempts the white screen or a dos like screen. I did not have you Amiga and the ball. I am just wanting to play one game, Player Manager which I have the download file for. But not got a clue how load and play. Please Help!!!
thanks so much for all this video and all the work you did
Great video and very easy to follow :)
Glad it helped!
Tried WinUAE before but just couldn’t get it to work. Thanks for a great tutorial that’s straight to the point and most of all useful!
Setting up WinUAE is one of the first things I do after installing Windows. I have a standard Workbench installation as a backup on a hard file. Just to make things easier.
Also Ram - Chipset Extra = A1200 & Cd & Harddrives DH0 = otherwise you'll just get a menu with a hand holding a floppy & not the menu from the HDdrive. Just tested it 1000% working excellent, always wanted to try Amiga, had a C64 back in the day.
Thank you x
Thank you so much!
Have you ever considered making a video just on installing/setting up WHDLoad? I already have WinUAE set up the way I want, I was just never clear on how to add WHDLoad and the games to it. I know at one point, you had to buy a key for it, then it became free. You're supposed to install the games from your own disks, but archives of game files exist on the net. I was just never sure how to get them to work. Although to be fair, I never really looked into it that much.
I'm not trying to put down your work, I'm just one of those people who likes to know how to set stuff up on their own so that I can customize it exactly to my liking. :)
Thank you so very much for this! Awesome!
Netti, thank you for the amazing share. I have tried to experiment with Amiga emulation several times, but setting WinUAE has driven me mad. Now for the first time (at least for me ) I have found it setup in a usable image that is encouraging me to experiment and learn some more.
I am really glad it helped x
Excellent well explained video. I wish you could do one for the pi as I've tried this several times and always get the dreaded white screen when trying to load Whd load games. Thanks!
Good work Netti👍
Thank you ♡
Amazing Vid, so helpful thanks.
Thanks for that, you sound like you live near me in the west midlands :)
U aren't wrong. I'm from Staffordshire
@@NettiGaming So cool to see a beautiful women into the C64 and Amiga, awesome!
This is a great video. Thanks !
Are the games included? I say this because I did it step by step and in the end, there was no game loaded ... [error] hug.
If you did it step by step you would see games are there.
@@nanettemccrone25 Thanks for answering, but friend has several versions, the one I really wanted was 1200 friend, because it has a very cool RPG. Besides the ghost hunters, which for me is the best version.
Ok so I did it all exactly as you said again and instead of purple screen coming up I got a disk on a hand on a white screen saying workbenches but nothing's there just the image and I cant move the mouse on screen?
OK so start from scratch. Reinstall and go through the setup again.
It sounds like you have wiped your initial settings. Go through setting up the roms linking again, then setting chipset etc. Then add the hard disk file. Save it as 1200. Then try and hit load.
Excellent guide ! thanks a lot !
Fantastic job - works perfect
Hi Nettie, just a question. I have installed the software with no worries, thanks for the simplistic explanation. One thing, I find I have to continually remind the configuration what the configuration is though but no matter it works. My question finally she said, I have an amiga 2000 or 4000 i think with the IBM hard drive and emulator with all the rest of the bits of that time, no keyboard...
But more importantly I have about one hundred disks of programs for Amiga, how do I either play them direct or put them on my hard drive please. He he just read your last article, going over, wish me luck. I am 74 and have had every amiga made, used them for work to video editing etc. taske care.
Thank you very much for this. I found some problems using the save feature in some games like Dune 2, Civilization and UFO enemy unknown. The games crashes on saves. Any fix for this?
Thank you so much , how can i add some games like elvira , kick off , monkey island , silkworm ... ? i cant see agames directory
