I have the KSI Boss mold, and it's such a fun figure to mess around with. Especially if you have headmasters to switch around their heads with.
The KSI Boss one is really fun and still holds up even in the heat of the Philippines 😂
That’s such a good looking figure but so expensive to get i think it was in the middle of 2020-21 when stock was super wonky and we couldn’t in person shop. Heck if they reissue ksi or repaint the 09 Thundercracker to skywarp that’d be cool
is the KSi Boss figure a retool or just a repaint of the original Nitro Zeus figure?

It's so weird, I never hear all that much talk about Nitro Zeus but it feels like everyone unanimously agrees he's cool even though he had like 50 seconds a screen time.
Great toy and it was nice seeing Decepticons with personalities in the Bayverse
Being a Bayverse Decepticon with some actual personality and surviving most of the movie without being killed off within 10 minutes of their introduction will do that.

I wish he could be revived(?) like Barricade & actually show up in some more media in a more G1-inspired design. I've seen some cool G1-style Nitro designs; theres one I'd consider the best. I think his name is Quillobyte, he made a super cool & amazing G1-style reimagining of Nitro. Theres also a G1-style Barricade digibash using the Legacy Chase mold I found on Reddit that looks sick! If it'd were to be released officially I WILL get it! I love the fact that me & quite a bit of other ppl all had the same idea (Barry using Chase mold), without any of us even knowing each other at all.

Try a sharpie to TLK Deluxe Bumblebee; I tried to replicate all the different black bits on the real car...😅. Speaking of, the toy isn't bad; hes pretty good for what he is, but it was super dumb to use the mold for SS BBM VW Beetle Bee.

Nitro Zeus summarizes TLK pretty well. He was the best thing about TLK, was barely in it, was awesome whenever he would show up, but right at the end, right as the movie was about to end, he was killed by the yellow one. It’s almost like they had Bumblebee kill the last good thing left about TLK just to finish the entire franchise off.
He became my ThunderWing with the thundercracker repaint + his titan return head + a little metallic green paint on the chest

Sticking the TR Voyager Optimus head on him turns him into a Cybertron-mode Primal instantly.
It's wild. He even has a bit of Beast-era engineering tropes to go with it (pull out guns, the "head" of the alt mode becoming one arm). Hell, for whatever reason, he has gorilla toes on the back of his existing feet.
One of the best Voyagers from that movie. Still have it to this day as well as wll the TF from the first 2007 movie
8:07 YOUR TELLING ME THAT THE HEAD PEICE IS ABLE TO MOVE UP!!! I know the turret part moves, but where the neck is that amazes me. When I transformed my KSI Boss, I took the head off and had nowhere to set it, but beside it. I had my KSI Boss for around 3 years, and I honestly didn't know that😂
Thundercracker looks PERFECT in this mold. It should be his future design

Ah, I got a wave of nostalgia from watching this.
the trick to panel lining is: generally there are three colors of panel liner: brown, black and gray, your first priority is if the color has anything to do with yellow or red (orange, pink, green, etc) you panel line in brown, if it is black or blue or purple or too dark in general for any other color to be visible, you panel line with black, if it is white or (light)gray you panel line in gray, the idea is to highlight the details just a bit to bring them up WITHOUT TURNING THEM INTO AN EYE SORE, I made the same mistake you did and went ham on a white gundam with the black panel liner and it ended up looking cheap bad lol

He is a really good toy, I gave Thundercracker the Titan Master of Overkill and made him an Original character called Dreadnaught

I've got a fondness for this mold. I still need the KSI boss version, but my original Nitro has been stickered up and paired with the die-cast TR Thunderwing head, and SS Thundercracker is on display as well. With Nitro's head.

I watched “Transformers the Basics: Shockwave” by @Chris Mcfeely when I read the comments and someone said something about Nitro Zeus’ tattoos, so I went to watch the many clips on this guy, and I thought: “oh, I forgot how cool this guy is!” So I went to watch some reviews on his original toy, and I stumbled on *YOUR ORIGINAL REVIEW.* And then the next day…..THIS.

i liked the pane line job it makes it pop and show some deepth to it. , you need to hit it with clear coat to keep it from rubbing off.

I used some Reprolabels and the Titans Return Thunderwing head to upgrade mine. He's awesome.
I really like the black wash! Sooner or later you will get used to it and it will seem very cool

So that's where them missiles come from. When I purchased a DOTM Megatron off Thew he chucked in a Starscream figure someone had sent him and done a little custom job on and it had them missiles, also painted white.
I've got the oversized, gray coloured Nitro Zeus with some Cybertronian letters on it that I bought in FB. Couldn't change the head, though.
You know. Seeing this figure from a different perspective, I think I like a more interesting transformation then having more articulation. Have both at the same time though is of course the best.
Nitro Zeus sounds like a name that would've been made in one of the old japanese produced g1 series
I bought this guy purely as a second body for Cogman. He can even hold the sword in his left hand and use the jet-nose right arm as a shield.
That transformation is really unique an kool. Kinda want it.

I really like this jetformer. I got all three versions of the mold, all incomplete; but by mixing them, I made a custom Thunderwing. And since TR gave us a Thunderwing headmaster; it's a match made in heaven (except the shades of white)
Younger me wishes he hadn't tried to custom paint all the grey bits on 2007 Voyager Prime silver with a brush. At least I learned enough then to leave future movie release alone. Never got the Nitro Zeus mode, but this would be an absolute banger as a Leader class in SS. This TLK Megatron, and Bulkhead definitely need updates at some point.

I think the most interesting thing about the head, disregarding the partially discarded headmaster gimmick, is that he has five eyes, but the other four are so tiny that the intended light piping got gummed by the paint of the face
I love this mold so much. I have all 3 of them. KSI, Thundercracker and Nitro. all 3 are on a special shelf above my desk. I shift everything around all of the time and those 3 never move. The head come4s off Nitro easier than I would like though.
The customizing/weathering/panel lining really doesn’t look bad. If that is a genuine first attempt, then bravo. You shouldn’t feel ashamed for them
You will love the KSI Boss SS 43, same mold in grey...
If you have the thunderwing head from the titans return siege on Cybertron set it works really well on this figure and reprolabels has a thunderwing conversion sticker sheet for this fig as well that all together looks awesome as a pseudo legacy thunderwing
I feel like unique toys is gonna end up being the chosen one that will give us a new nitro
RoTF Dirge/Jetblade had the fuselage turn into their right arm. I only ever saw parts of Jetblade in person.
4:56 You don't actually have to cut the piece to get the 90° bend, you just have push through it. I've done this with my copy of Nitro Zeus many times and it shows zero signs of stress or breakage so don't be too afraid of it snapping as I've had mine since 2017 and it still intact
you might need to get the oversized KO (LS01) if you love him so much, that toy is glorious with the additional paint and head

I was so confused when the Saab car was put on screen until I remember they are an aerospace company first and foremost, like Rolls Royce.
I never got the chance to pick this guy or any of the remolds he got!
My thundercracker actually already has a 90 degree bent out of the box so that arm bend may be a milage may vary situation

while it would be great for them to design a new mold, i would also take a Studio Series repaint of this toy that has a more screen accurate head but is still compatible with Titan Masters

I have a couple versions of this mode & really enjoy it.
As for Thundercracker, I won't open it.
I know it's shown up alot & even had a reissue or two.
Mine has the gold TRU exclusive sticker, which in the US makes it the very last Toys R US Transformer exclusive.
I know that won't matter down in history or value, but for me it does
The 3rd party KO is even better. Metal skeleton, nice metallic paints, better plastic, twice the size. Only downside are the wing joints - not quiiiiiite sturdy enough to bear the load so the jet has droopy wing syndrome but I keep mine in bot mode anyway :)
Sad i got rid of mine (also horribly customized via gold/silver marker..) all i have of it now is a missle pack, who i gave to my ss blitzwing
When we get another one o really hope we get the alt mode being a SAAB JAS-39 gripen instead of some default looking jet
Using a freaking nail kit I scraped off the numbers and the little greeble above the right elbow, so it'd look less ugly and the elbow actually works. I almost forgot I made those modifications until I saw this video.
And another thing, I ditched the missiles and gave them to DotM Skyhammer, cuz incidentally they look really good on him in helicopter mode, and even more impressive, if you move them in a peg on the wings and point them outwards you can do the entire transformation and they end up fitting very neatly inside the backpack in robot mode, and they don't clash at all color-wise like they do on Nitro Zeus, because Skyhammer actually has white as part of his color scheme
I got a lot of TLK line at clearance and really enjoyed it, but Nitro Zeus is a fantastic toy that doesn't really get the attention it should, likely thanks to the phenomenal Megatron. I have the Thundercracker too, but I think Nitro Zeus is more visually interesting.

Unique in the sense that its not done often, not done at all. Besides, Nitro's transformation is pretty unique for a jetformer.
I had that dude but someone pilfered my storage unit and I lost several things Im still trying to find.

They really don’t make unique transformations like this anymore. Feel like a lot of new figures play it safe.
