Thanks for your wonderful comment... Much appreciate and happy to hear it.
Insanely good! Those non-even eighth notes in the left hand first variation have me convinced that's the correct interpretation.

Well... I would stay faaaaar far away from calling myself an "expert on proper baroque interpretation"... But if I am correct, Sokolov who "introduced" me to Rameau on one of his Amsterdam concerts, he played it in this way... And if I remember well, then I "validated" to myself by listening to some harpsichord record. In general - notation in this era was "pretty different" from todays perfectly-printed detailed sheets... Ornamentation, improvisation, knowledge of dance forms etc., that was all "daily bread" of musicians. Not like the "copy-machine monkey" industry, which classical music business is today, kind of... So... I don't think I do something terribly bad or wrong here by "syncopating" the left hand... :) (besides, I think I tried to play it "2to3" as written and I think it sounded silly / completely "out". Lastly, thanks for your comment!
@ It should be noted that "notes inégales" was a big thing in french baroque music. In many pieces, it was implied that you should play with what we would today call swing rhythm.
Even though there are some slightly wrongn notes, this is one of the most enjoyable version of this song.

Well... Since the very first time I started playing piano (like 35 years ago), I was told by all my teachers: "Do not care about little wrong notes there and there... especially when you play "live". It's not important..! Important is to play "enjoyable" and musical..." So... it looks like I still follow what I was told to. :)
Tremendous energy in the Deuxième Double!
Plein de joie et de grâce, merci
Merci d'avoir écouté.
