You know what’s funny? I’m having the same issues with the boost, thought I had a boost leak so I switched to a turbosmart dv but same results with the stage 2 ots tune from Cobb.
using virtual dyno and data logs with the cobb i was seeing around 260hp and 310trq "at the wheels" but a while after the car felt slower and gave lower numbers. found out my turbo was going out and its in the shop rn for a ko4
can you turn the pops and crackles on/ off on the fly. like i would want it on when i’m downtown but not when i’m driving through my neighborhood at night lol
yes there are 2 separate tunes you receive 1 with and 1 without the pops and crackles. if you flash the pops and crackles it will happen when you let you foot off the gas as long as your rpms are high enough.
@@SpedBoy how much rpm would it let go with pop and crackles? around 4000rpm or over? Also when getting tuned through stratified, do they ask you for stage 1 or 2? I have just boltons, intake, catback.
@@user-zu1pe1di4r on the stratified tunes I would get the pops if my rpms were over about 3k. and for stage 2 a upgraded downpipe is required. but when you order they ask for a list of all your modifications. but a downpipe is what most consider the "stage 2" upgrade it will get you the most hp and trq after just a tune
@@SpedBoy Ok thanks so much, I was wondering if the pops only turn on when car is at optimal oil level or is it already on when car is on? I just don’t want pop and crackles on cold start or cold engine, as it will be harmful. I got stock downpipe, with secondary cat delete if that does anything
@@user-zu1pe1di4r all the pops and bangs are is fuel spraying for a bit after you let off and since the engine doesn't use it, it goes into the exhaust and ignites making the pops and bangs. the only thing you need to worry about is that is you have a think catalytic converter the fuel can gum it up over time.
Thanks man I also have stock mk6 so im glad to see that you actually get good power gains even over a high boost cobb OTS tune that I already have.
youre welcome
@@wafflesrock17FTW yep, appreciate it
You are a g bro this is the exact vid I was Looking for.
Thanks! I'm going to be making another video now that the car has a ko4 turbo.

Man thank you my ap only hits 16 maybe 17 going with strat full bolt on with fmic thank you for the info
How much power were u making with just the stage 1 in this video?
i would say probably around 230 whp and 250 trq.
@@SpedBoy thanks for the reply. Also, with the crackle option, do they send you two different files, so you can swap between crackles and no crackles?
@@veliness7883 yeah its 2 files.
How how much horsepower are you getting with stage 2 on stratified?

you can change the maps through the cobb to the one without pops and bangs but it does take about 5 minutes
@@SpedBoy thank you so much man, i’ve been trying to get this answer for so long
@@tanyonderrick168just don’t do it too often and kill the battery when you’re far from home

yes you just switch between to change
Why did I watch this whole thing
this car sucks!
