The irony is, out of all "religious moral people" in the town. The kindest & most understanding person is the owner of sex shop who's also a lesbian. What makes her work is that she's not faking being a good person who uses religion as a cover-up for their immoral actions. Her living a free style different from the other citizens. not being braiwashed by religious groups nor trapped within a text or a list of (do & don't) to justify her decisions in life made her act of compassion crystal clear & pure because she's not blaming the devil when she slips nor does she expect a godly reward for being "nice".
i really don’t know why but when i heard orel say that stephanie was warm my heart broke. he deserves to have a loving figure in his life. to me stephanie is almost like a mother figure. she cares for him, protects him but doesn’t sugarcoat things, and she just is a warm person as orel says. their relationship is one of my favorite things in the show, and that’s saying something cause i love a lot of things about this show
I seriously love Stephanie. Shes the most kindest adult in Morelton to Orel and just a kind person in general. And the way shes written as an athiest has been done so well. She doesnt hide her beliefs ( or the lack of ), but she still relates and helps Orel despite their difference in beliefs. When Orel came to her about praying the right way, she relates to his level and gives him something that he can understand based on his beliefs, aka giving him incense and meditation stuff to help him cool down, and says it is like praying just in a different way so he can understand and relate. Then when explaining Closeface, she specifically says "Angel of kissing", which Orel easily understands. Stephanie doesnt try to be rude or mean to Orel, instead helping him in her own special way so he can understand, as what any adult or athority figure should. Not to mention she went to church despite her personal beliefs ( Even though it was to see Reverend Putty ) when Orel asked. I swear Stephanie is one of the best characters written in adult animation. Adults in shows like Family Guy are written horribly and unreasonably cruel. Stephanie though? She is ruthlessly nice and kind, and she is the mother/sister figure that Orel needs in his life.
I just live how people look at Stephanie and see nothing but a different "Bad" person, while they look at clay and see the epitome of a good man. This shows writing is so good.
I think I kinda understand why she did the piercing because at least it was her someone she knew that wouldn’t take advantage of a kid and be sexual. As she knows Orel the kid he is would have tried to find someplace or someone else which would’ve gotten him more harm. So, the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Especially, because Orel comes back for another one and she explains there that it’s not about sex but, about affection and emotional connection.
I've always found this quote about her to be quite profound. 'Of course she's kind and sweet, she's a freak. She can't afford to be mean.' Or something to that effect.
I wish we got to see Stephanie and Clay interact more. They are perfect opposites of each other. Both had rough childhoods and complicated broken homes, both also have lost queer loves too. Stephanie took her loses with stride, found a way to use those experiences to make her a better person to others, she struggles so much but doesnt attack the world for it. Clay is another queer person who lost a lot but the difference is how he let it change him. Bitter and hateful, Clay only wants the world to suffer like he has, every experience has just made him bitter and spiteful to all the other people around him. Stephanie wants to give good to the people around her despite it all, Clay wouldn't understand why you'd *ever* want to help "people"
@pigeonmilk119 She is using "short" in place of "child". "I would like a piercing that will increase the pleasure of intercourse" "Aren't you a little too short for one of those?" Then "Then when you're finally tall enough to drive home your wife will be squealing like she won a year's supply of panty hose" She acknowledged he is too young for that kind of piercing and too young to be having intercourse but chose to do it because she wished she had someone to do it when she was a child. That's weird.
I don't think this scene was meant to show how sweet and nice she is. It's meant to show the consequences of religious extremism and indoctrination. Orel doesn't fully understand what he is doing (even wondering why he would have to take his pants off) and Stephanie's trauma is clouding her judgement. That is not a positive situation they're in. If Coach Stopframe (or some other LGBTQ character) agreed to help an 8 year old girl do kegel exercises or get a tongue piercing to please some guy in the future I think people would see it differently. Even if it was strictly "platonic".

Yeah, super creepy.
They prob had a different idea for the character when she first showed
@@Plebus3Probably so, yeah. She grew into be one of the best influences for Orel, and one of the best people in the entire town.
@@Plebus3they proabably wanted to shock the audiance too
No because Stephanie is adorable and she deserves the world
I agree wholeheartedly. Also, nice profile pic!

Your username is fantastic
Orel took that piercing like a fucking champ
Stephanie is Just,so Cool.
Punk lesbians can be the sweetest people. Or absolutely apeshit. I’ve met both but never in between.
W punk lesbians
Fr unfortunately i first meet the worst type first, anyways the first good one i meet was so sweet she literally killed almost all the homophobia i got on my mind, i couldn't believe and i still can't believe there's so good people in this world.
7:12 "-I think god was joking" she is iconic
the fact that arguably the best person in Moretlon was ok piercing a child's junk-
And funny enough the least fcked up thing out of everything thats going on in the show
The irony is, out of all "religious moral people" in the town.
Still can’t believe the same woman who played Cindy Vortex is playing Orel
😱
and Sandy Cheeks
And Ashley from Re4
i really don’t know why but when i heard orel say that stephanie was warm my heart broke. he deserves to have a loving figure in his life. to me stephanie is almost like a mother figure. she cares for him, protects him but doesn’t sugarcoat things, and she just is a warm person as orel says. their relationship is one of my favorite things in the show, and that’s saying something cause i love a lot of things about this show
"Oh oh maternal pang *clink* aww all gone."
Love that line.
I never understood that line cuz isn't she a lesbian?
Everyone is talking about how nice she is but not the first clip 💀
Fr
Pretty accurate depiction of punks too, every punk I know is the sweetest. Usually goths too, just nice non judgemental people
I just live how people look at Stephanie and see nothing but a different "Bad" person, while they look at clay and see the epitome of a good man. This shows writing is so good.
7:10 LMAOO god was joking
I wish I met a girl like this in real life 😢😊

I think I kinda understand why she did the piercing because at least it was her someone she knew that wouldn’t take advantage of a kid and be sexual. As she knows Orel the kid he is would have tried to find someplace or someone else which would’ve gotten him more harm. So, the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Especially, because Orel comes back for another one and she explains there that it’s not about sex but, about affection and emotional connection.
yesss thank you sm. i love herrrr
Stephanie has a soothing voice.
I adore me some Steph ☺️

@@alexchicas5941 Yep 😌
I've always found this quote about her to be quite profound.
'Of course she's kind and sweet, she's a freak. She can't afford to be mean.'
Or something to that effect.
Stephanie is the best, and I love how her coping mechanism is simply to give herself peircings. She treats Orel amazingly.
Stephanie wants to give good to the people around her despite it all, Clay wouldn't understand why you'd *ever* want to help "people"
I love how putty interacts with her after finding out shes his daughter
Orel getting excited about Stephanie going to church is so cute!

Hahaha I love how she refers to Orel’s D with she/her pronouns 😂
Why not?
I like how she refers to oral by his height not age in the first episode
@@LaFonteCheVi how is it creepy?
@pigeonmilk119 She is using "short" in place of "child".
"I would like a piercing that will increase the pleasure of intercourse"
"Aren't you a little too short for one of those?"
Then
"Then when you're finally tall enough to drive home your wife will be squealing like she won a year's supply of panty hose"
She acknowledged he is too young for that kind of piercing and too young to be having intercourse but chose to do it because she wished she had someone to do it when she was a child.

As a religious person I would totally hang out with a person like Stephanie just cause why not.
I remember the maternal pang being described as her wanting to be a mother figure for him, and... *THAT'S SO CUTE ❤❤❤❤❤*
I love so much episodes from this show especially closeface. Not only Stephanie kinda plays a big role, orel and christina are really cute and as well as steph doesnt want orel to suffer what she had go through in high school. Love her fr
i wonder how stephanie feels being the sweetest and the bteer person of the whole town
It’s a thankless job
Girl boss
I just finished moral orel and it warms (and at the same time breaks) my heart when I see Orel in the first 2 seasons. He's just so happy.
To everyone waxing about how great stephanie is, dont forget she gave a child a wang piercing
She’s great in comparison to the horrible people of that town, lol
No one's perfect
To be fair, he did semi consent to it, as well as compared to others steph is alot more down to earth
@chee ta He’s a child he can’t consent.
@@MichelangeloVA It is illegal and a parent has to be there with the minor. Has gotten more strict now especially for 16 and under. Regardless she should have never done that, to begin with. A piercing on the genitals on a kid big yikes😅
I love Stephanie - the sweetest character in the show (next to Orel)! Edit: I also love the bond she developes between her and Rev Putty.
Why does lesbians are always so lovely like, as a lesbian I ALWAYS got kids around me (mostly boys) around me getting comfortable to talk or just being themselves! I feel lol she is the best representation of all 😭😭
And then theres the other lesbian that played Stephanie, very "lovely"
I love how much of a big sister she is to Orel
God shes so iconic. I love her
She really gave a kid a price albert

god she's LITERALLY me. she makes me love myself for being like her
If this show wasn’t so dark and had way more Stephanie I’d probably watch it only for her 😔
My heart was melting the way she described love, I almost cried watching this 😭
