VAG K+ CAN Commander first try

VAG K+ CAN Commander first try, did not work. I'll try other programs too and change the port settings. Cable ordered from Aliexpress. Included CD was dirty, reader read it at the 5th time. The included software VWTOOL and the Vag commander sw had trojan inside the exe file. To be continued...

you have to turn ignition key on so the software be able to read the data , you turn on the radio but not the ignition key , even with Ross-tech usb adapter you can not read the data from the module with ignition key off . Also that vag-k commander uses a "com port" , witch is com4 for what i seen in video . Thank you for the video , nice work , you show us the normal difficulties a person can get using those adapters .

after connecting the usb adapter to you laptop have a look at device manager, the Vag K+ cable is a usb to serial adapter so you have to check which virtual com port was applied to the adapter. if you already had some serial com port devices connected to you notebook its easily possible that they occupy the needed com1 to com 4 so you would have to change the com port from the connected cable as well in the device manager.

No cabel will work with ignition off. Ignition must be turn on on all diagnostic cables and software to start working with them.

actually this cable didn't work with my car, so I bought a HEX-V2 OBD2 from Aliexpress. That's OK! :)

Your adapter isn't for VCDS, it's for VAG Commander Pro.

Yes. Only with Lite version but I don't recommend because it's too old version.

istokka yes, with a different software. And allegedly VCDS works under Win XP. Maybe I'll try later.

Well, you used VCDS from rosstech when it says DO NOT USE IT. That's why it won't work. And everything works fine for me in Windows 7 or 10. Connects, scans codes and clears them, measures blocks. Didn't test long coding tho.
