I feel kinda bad for Pit. Sad backstory (not being able to fly), and then this chapter. He loses conciousness for *3 years* and then comes back to find his goddess is attacking the Earth. Plus LITERALLY EVERYONE ROASTS HIM.
Palutena was always evil. In the original Kid Icarus, when you take too long to rescue her, she turns you into an enemy. She basically says, "Oh, you wasted too much time to rescue me, despite the fact that you killed Medusa, rescued me, and saved the world."
Merit Host she's complicated. This game puts hints on that with everyone questioning her moral high ground. It's just that the others are a girl that wants to commit genocide and a man using souls as afuel source to rule the world. Compared to the rest she's the embodiment of good. Doesn't help that the main character a hyper repressed obsessed dependant servant of the goddess he worships. It's a complex world. But the story itself is extremely simple. A children's story set in the world of Game of Thrones.
I've just noticed something Is Pit killing his troops and turning them into hearts?! How can he not feel guilt, seems like Pit has a darker side than Dark Pit 🤔
Maan. I know this game is already jam-packed with dialogue for its time, but if we get a sequel/remake/reboot/prequel, I hope that we get even more. These interactions are truly precious, ofc obviously those revolving around Pit and the goddesses. I'd love to see something like Fire Emblem's marriages--though honestly it doesn't have to go that far. Just simple levelling-up friendships and learning about the characters would be cool. ("Hades" by SuperGiant Games is a good example of this, though it could be taken a step further from that as well, especially for a triple A release by Nintendo).
A Few Things: 1.) It would've been better if Palutena did offer Pit the Power of Flight 2.) It would've been better if Pit and Magnus fought in separate bodies like in Chapter 2 3.) Dark Pit should've helped Magnus, saying that he heard what happened and decided to get a change of heart and help fight for Pit's body back 4.) Pit and Dark Pit should've fought together in the Flight Path section of the Chapter 5.) If Palutena was under mind control, Dark Pit would've just told Pit, "Don't listen to her, Pit! She's not in her right mind!" Or with Pit yelling, "SHUT UP!!" 6.) Pit should've just made it to the temple. It would've WAY more cooler But nah. They just had to screw almost everything up! Congratulations, Nintendo! You've just acquired the "You Suck" Achievement. Screw up a perfectly good game... WITHIN 3 FREAKING YEARS!!!!

He does say that its feels wrong going against the Zenturios. Magnus even says to sneak around them. The rest is up to the player.
Well they do get revived when they die so not much of a problem
