Roxy back in Season 1 Episode 13: "One day, a tall slim young man who's manly but still makes childish expressions will save me by chance in the depths of a labyrinth, then we'll team up and as we work fogether, love will bloom between us."
I love the dialogue in this series. Rudy also prayed to the mana thing with Sauros, something like, "I wish girls would rain from the sky" right before TP1. Spoilers... The throwaway one liners that turn out to be foreshadowing us volumes later are one of my favorite parts. I knew the second that Roxy said that extremely specific daydream that she'd be fulfilling that prophecy someday.
It was very obvious that was something that definitely will happen in the story...... If any, this story loves to go back to throwaway lines like this.

A purely mechanical explanation about teleportation magic, but I'll tag spoilers if anyone doesn't want to see it. Teleportation magic has been banned because of its random nature. You never know where you'll end up if you hop on a teleportation circle. However, it is possible to make it 100% safe by connecting two circles circle A always takes you to circle B and Circle B always takes you to circle A. This takes away the randomness. I'm not entirely sure if they are always two-way circles or if they sometimes can be a one-way circle. The main point is that by connecting two circles, it becomes safe if you know the conditions of both circles.
Given Rudeus mentions that the teleportation circle from Sharia to Begaritt is definitely a two-way one, we can surmise there must be teleportation circles that are one-way.
It's not really spoilers, it's just stuff that was cut. Plus this is wrong. Rudeus asked Ruijerd (around the time he shaves his hair) if they could use some kind of teleportation magic to get home, to which Ruijerd tells him that teleportation circles were banned and all the known ones destroyed after the Second Great Human-Demon War (which ended ~4200 years ago), and that discussion is when Rudeus first learns that they actually exist. They were banned because 1) they could be used to teleport soldiers, and 2) the humans at the time forced all the Demons to the Demon Continent and banned them from leaving, so destroying the circles also helped to keep the Demons isolated.
@@TheGenreVerse yeah, they skipped way too much about how roxy was surviving, in crunchyroll some people were talking about that without marking spoilers because they were mad, but there still is a possibility that they include her efforts in the next episode. Quite some people got really mad about that and have been commenting and posting what the anime skipped, but those could be huge spoilers, as I dont think the anime will be so despicable as to do something like that, it would be way too disrespectfull
Yeah, the teleportation concept is almost as if you were still travelling in space, the longer the distance the longer the time it takes to make the jump. I dont think it gets so much detail but i remember that they are actually travelling through somewhere when they teleport.
18:12 Kyle jokes about Rudy smelling something but in the LN he really monologues about "getting a whiff of a goddess's smell" lol Its been 11 years since Roxy and Rudy was together, since season 1 episode 2 if you can believe it. We had 40+ episodes since then.
Is that referenced by the "intuition" line he has? Cause I cut out me accusing him of being pervy there... While editing I thought I may have read into his face and voice the wrong way so I cut it out 😆.

Given how strong Rudy's feelings are for Roxy and the way that rescue played out (and Roxy's prior statement in episode 13) a relationship with Roxy that could lead to both being hurt (if it doesn't work out, e.g., because Rudy sees her as a goddess/menor and she seems him as a possible lover) or Sylphi being hurt (if they do cheat on her with each others) *might* cause the 'regret' that the man-god warned of. Though with Sylphi's stated knowledge of Rudy's character (her speculation that he'd probably cheat like Paul did) and prior statements regarding concubines (though that was in the context of her being unable to conceive, which is no longer the case...) I am not certain even cheating with Roxy would be enough to wreck Sylphi-Rudy's relationship to the point where it would cause sufficent regret to balance what he'd feel if Zenith and Roxy perished in a labyrinth. So unless cheating with Roxy led to total relationship meltdown and divorce -- which is possible - I'd imagine some other problem must be the cause of regret. As was pointed out, given Roxy's been saved, even death of Paul or Zenith is probably not enough. So.... perhaps Orsted takes action against Rudy and Nanohoshi for using the teleport labyrinth without permission (esp. if Sylphi or other loved ones are caught in the crossover and injured/kille)? Or some disaster related to whatever has been responsible for Zenith's unknown fate, or Orsted sealing the teleporters and blocking the way back, leads to Rudy arriving years late after all? I dunno! Fun to guess, though...
As an anime only too, I'm almost certain Paul is the one we're losing. I've felt it for the longest time. The OP has alot appearances of Rudeus/Paul, these sweet reunion scenes, Paul looking forward to meeting Rudeus' family and being a grandfather.... everything's screaming RED FLAGS for him and I'm scared.

My first job out of college (1985 to 1987) was with a defense contractor working on field artillery fire direction and control in Lawton/Fort Sill, OK. To this day anytime I see something that reeks of field artillery I remember those days. I worked on the system that collected FO fire requests and correction data and computed the gun orders sent to the individual howitzer crews. I wrote two parts of the system. One was a way to compress the meteorological data so that it would fit into available memory and the second was the Shell/Fuze/Powder combination selection that filled in the parts not specifically ordered (my highly creative name for the function: AMMOSEL). There was one special combination that could not be calculated and always had to be specifically ordered: NUA (I think it was, from nearly 40 years ago...). I guess you can understand why. I had to have a Top Secret clearance for access to a computer facility containing such data as yields and crypto communication, but I had nothing to do with any classified material myself. The people across the hall from me in our off-base office worked on the Lance missile system and DID deal with yields so they had reinforced locked filing cabinets and the such. I wasn't allowed into their offices and most of the time their doors were closed.

The anime cut the part where Elinalise tells Rudeus that Talhand "takes the thing that men hold precious" or something like that. Also when Paul says that Talhand was unaffected by the succubi on the way to Rapan.
I'd also like to make a small correction about the holy relic. I'm not sure if you meant to, but when you talked about it you made it seem like it is a sexual thing, whereas Rudy doesn't really see it that way (as hilarious as that is), sure he thirsted over Roxy and initially took those panties with sexual intent, however that has most certainly changed since, and he now uses it as a crutch when in low mental states (example: season 2).

If rudeus didnt come it appears roxy would have for sure died so that would definitely of been one of the things he would have regretted if he chose to stay and not go. So far saving her alone makes it feel somewhat worth

Random teleportation, some people arrived in the middle of a battlefield, some people in the top of trees, some got teleported right into the sky, like sylphie and rudeus, but both survived thanks to their magic, Rudeus even saved Eris. It was a massive random teleportation around the world, even if the odds are slim, making that many people teleport randomly, you have a good chance to end in the most unpredictable places
You know, Even Geese in the beginning of the episode took a moment to recognize Rudeus. So let's be real, Roxy is in an extreme exhausted mental state, just escaped death at the last second possible, and the last time she ever saw Rudeus was 11 years ago when he was still a pervy 5 year old kid. It's only natural for Roxy not able to recognize Rudeus on this point. Of course when all the other people catch up, Roxy will realize who this good looking gentlemen REALLY is, but in that exact frame Rudeus is the only person who's happy for the reunion. What will she think about this good looking gentlemen who just saved her life and is being extremely friendly and kind to her?

Paul storms over to Rudeus to ask what insane shit she's talking about, and Rudeus tells him that Laws (Sylphy's father) was actually Elinalise's son. 23:30 that's a reasonable theory if you assume it functions like a wormhole like how I assumed at this point in the LN, so taking into consideration that they teleported from almost the northernmost part of the Human World to the southernmost vs teleporting between floors in a labyrinth, the "wormhole" length would be a lot shorter. Rudeus also references Boson Jumping from the manga/anime Nadesico back when Elinalise double checked the teleportation circle between Sharia and Begaritt, but that functions a bit differently.
as someone who read the LN, I feel like they rushed this episode. they changed some interesting details and made it bland. but all in all i like the episode because of the cliffhanger❤

Yeah he is a gay dwarf. The main story of Mushoku Tensei doesn't touch on it much but the Redundancy chapters (sequel/side stories) do IIRC.
