Great video and good use of a tripod (so many YT videos are filmed in hand held shaky cam). Spend many happy hours there in the early 1990s when the NSE Class 50s, 47s and the occasional Crompton were still operating West of England services.
What I used to keep the shots steady, was a bean bag against station furniture. If using a lamp post, I could pan round. It was not perfect, but worked quite well most times.
Brings back a lot of memories of working there on those platforms (9&10) with the Vaux-hall & Waterloo 😂 I even remember the tape number for the announcement lol! A day could pass very quickly there as it was always busy. Best place to start your railway career!
At that time there were Cross Country services all over the place. Gatwick Airport and Brighton to name but two. Kensington Olympia was all so served. Hence Voyagers passing through Clapham Junction.
@@AndreiTupolev as you say the 313s are on Silverlink services, but the London Midland 350s are at the end of this video running to Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central
Five stars for the footage. Interesting to see the change. I remember first going there about 1998 - still loads of slam doors about.
Glad you enjoyed it. There was a lot of diffenent things to see then.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Brings back so many memories growing up and travelling to and from Clapham Junction.

I always remember the way the taped announcer (who must have served for about 20 years) said "Vaux-Hall".
Every few mins @ platform 10:
"Vaux-Hall & London Waterloo".
I can still hear it now.

@@yourlocalskoda4860 Oh that yeah I dont know why its there for some reason.
That's an interesting view at 2:51, you've got a 455, CEP, 442, a Connex 319 and a 73 on the Gatwick Express.
Love this video
i love these clips are going to do one of east croydon and the trams
Hey what years are these- 2003-2008?
Do you have any idea what service the class 170 did?
I'm sorry I can't remember. It may have been Exeter?
It wouldn't really do to have a job here as a signalman if you were someone who got easily confused!!🤯😱🤪
21:06 why do the doors look different to the others on that unit?
8:50 why did connex remove that 319s pantograph
If the 319's were only used on DC, the pantographs were removed to reduce maintenance.
@@agdenyeroh so that’s why so much third rail trains have no pantographs why don’t southeastern do the same with the 375/6s
Did EUROSTAR STOP AT clAPHAM jUNCTION?
Not to my knowledge

Why Is There A London Midland Train
I think there was a shortage of Southern Stock. So as the 350/1 were AC/DC they were loaned. That is if I remember correctly
Oh ok
The Class 313? That's the Willesden Junction service, before it became Overground
@@AndreiTupolev as you say the 313s are on Silverlink services, but the London Midland 350s are at the end of this video running to Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central
Yes the 350 was on loan to southern for a few years
