He loved to sing with them and he was very generous. When they (as Cher above) weren't up on harmonizing (I can't, either, so I'm not knocking them) he would fall into harmony (as would Perry Como and does Dolly Parton). Truly the sign of a generous star not to have the melody all the time.

Glen was an incredible singer and guitarist. The best!!!. We lost one of the greatest ever. Cher and Glen song great together. He was an incredible loss to the music world. I saw this on a color TV set without a remote in my parents bedroom! Glen should have had that show of his much longer. Perhaps if he hadn't got caught up in the drugs like every one else, he might have negotiated it longer.... So wonderful that he had the chance to make a farewell tour. The film I'll Be Me on Netflix is well worth the watch. God didn't make little green apples! for nuthin.
