To me The King Eternal Monarch, it has good action, photography, it make you to think, it out so many possible theories about the history it's not a kdrama than makes the things easie for you. Of course there's others but now I put this.
'It's okay not to be okay' is on another level. I mean how can something to be so perfect... 💯 !!!!!!

Specially moon sang tae..am amaze how he portrait autism dis order
The man who played Sang Tae in its okay to not be okay is such a great actor!!
If you like his acting you should try Moon Embracing the Sun it’s from 2012 but it still holds up today
I honestly wanted a Daesang for him. He literally was the highlight of the drama for me, soooo good👌
@@pinkaengelz they meant sang tae, not gang tae.

Loved that drama too.. watched it in 3 days too!
Crash landing on you made me realise that Korean dramas aren't all cheesy and repetitive. Reply 1988 made me realise that I could easily sit through 20 episodes each 1.5 hrs long and still wish that it would continue. It's okay not to be okay made me realise that Korean dramas can tell deep topics too.
Looking forward to watching the other recommended Korean dramas.
You should also check out Something in the Rain!
Oh you wrote my lines 👍👍👍👍👍
You just mentioned the two dramas I love the most! ❤️❤️ Exactly my thoughts. It breaks my heart to see people categorize Kdramas into the cliché zone. Honestly, I have only watched 6-7 dramas but I am glad to say that they are nothing like clichés.
Looking forward to seeing It's Okay to Not be Okay. I hear the storyline is good.
Watch Itaewon Class
watch goblin it will make you realize you can find all these in one. such a masterpiece!
Scarlet Heart is heart wrenching. I had to spend days telling myself 'It's just a drama'... if you're a person who cries easily you will be crying a lot... not to say u won't scream and laugh a lot too because you will. Also.... I am not kidding when I say it's awesome acting and osts
Is it sad or happy ending? I am not gonna watch if it’s sad one.
Nothing compares to the sadness it gave to me. Yes it is extremely sad.
Atlantic blues thanks for the answer. I won’t watch it then.

Mr. Sunshine is truly amazing ❤️ The storyline was so heart-wrenching yet beautiful. The dialogues were well-written as it depicts about love and war. The characters have depth too and the cinematography is mind-blowing. Mr. Sunshine is a rare gem in the history of kdramas. This truly deserves to be recognized by international audiences as well along with Secret Garden, The Heirs, Goblin, DOTS, and The King: Eternal Monarch which are all written by Kim Eun-Sook! I still can't get over this masterpiece and this is my best kdrama ❤️
FLOWER OF EVIL!! That's all I have to say. It's the best drama this year for me.

I personally think that “it’s okay,it’s love” is definitely one of the top 3 best kdramas of all time. The acting delivery in this 2014 psychological drama is top notch , flawless and hard to beat. The actors, lead by Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin, are just phenomenal and right. Jo In Sung added an unusual flare to the drama.
In conclusion , that drama deserves to be in the top 3 list of any kdrama lineup because the quality it brings to the table cannot be quantified.

3. The King: Eternal Monarch
4. Crash Landing On You
5. A Piece Of Your Mind (not loved by many by i like it)

I usually have 2-3 dramas that I like in a year but this year was just too great
IOTNBO is such a hard one to get over, it's been a month since it end and i haven't found something to move forward
Ikr, Piece of Your Mind is a rlly good drama in my opinion!!
I really liked A piece of your mind. It was very emotional, but so good. I heard the series was cut short, which sucks.
Roz A it did which is a shame, I would have like it more to see Ha Won missed Seo Woo as much or more than he did with Jisoo, the ending didn’t fully satisfy me but it was still a great one, it was such a calm drama that it’s simplicity makes me love it
You should try Nobody Knows, also released in 2020. That one is brilliant as well.

After watching it's okay not to be okay my expectations are high n can't even dare to watch something else...ahhh😭💨
I dare you to watch it's ok that's love. It is by far the best drama especially with its theme revolving around mental health.
It did a far better job than it's ok not to be ok.
@@prayrnasinha12 I watched both dramas. And I'm a psychologist so when I saw both I felt like it's okay to not be okay is more realistic. I always see that, how movies and dramas portraits mental health which causes a lot off misconceptions among people watching it. It's ok it's love is really good one when talking about storyline but not the best to convey message on mental health. Whereas it's okay to not be okay talks about mental health and sufferings of people who go through it more realistically. Even each episode is a lesson for each of us. A best way to us to use fairy tales to teach us the life lessons.
@@ashayasathish2796 I've watched both dramas as well and there is a huge difference between both. It's ok thats love centers around the mental issue of schizophrenia and OCD while it's ok not to be ok touches upon autism and personal struggles within. There is a huge difference between both of these as mental issues . One of my family member is a schizophrenic patient and so I know what it feels like to be around one . Hallucinating is a big part of some of the more extreme version of schizophrenia. So I don't know what conclusions you got from it's ok that's love becoz it is the most accurate representation of schizophrenia and mental health. If you did pay any attention then you must have noticed that the character in its ok that's love had a much more traumatic past than most of the characters in its ok not to be ok( except for maybe the elder brother). On the other hand it's ok not to be ok death with child traumas which were very destructive to one's personality in their later years but apart from the autistic brother , the other characters felt very shallow . It no doubt showed the most glamorized portrayal of mental health issues. So I don't know how you got your conclusions but it's ok not to be ok lacked the in depth emotions that were so raw in it's ok that's love . I am not trying to convince you on which show is better or worse but the topic of using children's story books and it's narration were quite unrealistic and was created more artistically for entertainment purpose.
@@prayrnasinha12 I said what I felt and I'm not trying to convince you either. It's ok it's love revolves around schizophrenia and I know how serious condition it is. And I know how people with schizophrenia suffers because I have seen a lot of people living with it. And as you said both dramas are different they have their own strengths and weaknesses. In its ok it's love focuses on a particular mental illness whereas in its ok to not be ok it revolves around autism, ASPD and also shows other patients as well who deals with different mental illness. And also mental health which not just means the absence of illness but the psychological well-being. That is actually shown in IOTNBO. So it has shown more in a wide spectrum. So according to me IOTNBO don't lack either. And the way it's shown is more artistic and that's more creative and unique. Because that can convey messages easily. But it is not conveying any misconceptions either. And when we have to give awareness about mental health we do it more creative ways such as through stories, plays, dance drama etc. Because that reach out to many people. You can relate more with its ok it's love but not every person can do that. Whereas I felt more people can relate to IOTNBO. That's why most people like IOTNBO. It's just the matter of choice. So better don't compare both.
Me too
It's okay to not be okay is still my favorite. There is no drama that pass the level of perfection it had. It was just sooo good that I'm honestly at a loss for words.
Is it that good.... Actually I am confused to watch... Everyone saying it's a good drama

Personally I recommend:
- *Flower of Evil* : super thrilling, amazing plot and the OSTs are beautiful
- *Scarlet Heart Ryeo* : the romance/action and plot twists everywhere
- *Sky Castle* : powerful insight on educational pressure and dark
- *Crash Landing on You* : fun, exciting and interesting with the north korea vs south korea content
- *Weight Lifting Fairy* : she's soo cute, female empowerment, couple goals and fun to watch
- *It's Okay To Not Be Okay* :each episode is a story and i personally love how they bring up issues about mental health, facing your fears...also strong female character
- *Itaewon Class* : cultural and gender diversity, modern contexts that was super interesting to see in a kdrama
- *Oh My Ghost* : its funny, romcom and a cool plot
- *Hwarang* : the brotherhood, the storyline and the humour is so worth the watch and the cast is no joke: full of visuals
- *Hospital Playlist* : really medical but its inspiring, addicting and the story of friendship is absolute goals
I totally agree with all these
yeaah i loved it oh my ghost what a beautiful romcom drama

Most of these are great...but to me *MY MSTER* is on another level to everything else! 👍😷
Stephan Erdman - Authentic Game my Mister is my favorite. It’s different, and not much centered on romance but still gets you hooked. ❤️
Exactly 👍👍
The female lead in My Mister is the most interesting female character I've ever seen in any language. She is so smart, usually 4 or 5 moves ahead of everyone else, but so emotionally broken. Also, the development of the relationship between the female and male leads from wary adversaries to soul-mates who will protect each other at all costs is so moving.
I agree I was depressed for a week after watching it. Hahahaha I can feel their emotions.
I agree, My Mister is outstanding
"my mister" was an absolute masterpiece in every sense. perhaps went unnoticed, being not as popular as the ones mentioned on this list, yet superb quality of writing and acting. memories of the Alhambra was also very good, and kairos was excellent.
My Mister is a masterpiece! Ill surely never ever forget this Kdrama.
Agreed!
@@JeGreBe same here.. I m fan of kdrama but my mister is in another level I m waiting for another masterpiece like my mister 💓
It was my most favorite. I cried and smiled and laughed and cried more. I adored the characters from bad to good. All I want to watch are Korean films now. Korea has been on my travel list, now i REALLY am excited to get there.
My Mister is brilliant!
everyone's talking about IOTNBO and i'm not surprised but Mr Sunshine is one of the best drama ever if we talking about it being hit domestically. The cast, the storyline, the cinematography is NO joke. It's so amazing, it's made me cry in every episode, it's so realistic and can't express how much of a great actor Yoo Yeonseok is. That man has been so underrated, i'm glad he's receiving recognition now. Please do check out his other works too, he is a fantastic actor.
Agree Mr sunshine was epic, an entire league of its own!!
I agree with you on Mr. Sunshine. Yoo Yeon Seok is great there that I started following him. I can't forget the store scene...
I was so hyped after seeing the trailer and I fucking cried my eyes out at the end. I loved the acting and the characters, I was craving for more everytime I started a new episode 😅. Yoo Yeon Seok was hawt in this drama, like 😍😍😍😍
Thanks. I’ll check it out! My love EUN DONG is 5 STARS.
Agree! I love Mr sunshine so much! My friends think it was boring without even finishing one eps 😒
Why is nobody talking about “Extracurricular” or “Kill me, heal me” ???
extracurricular messed with my brain so much, it was so good
Kill me Heal Me i was wrecked emotionally. I had to stop at some point cause i was crying very emotionally, same with Crash Landing... and Its ok to not be okay....
@@kellbear23 OMG so trueee
Finally
Exactly! I came here to check if Kill me Heal me was on there :( it needs to be!
It was as early as episode 1 in “It’s okay to not be okay”, after Gang Tae had one of the worst days at work anyone could imagine and he arrived home to realise he’d forgotten to collect for his brother the autograph of his favourite author. Sang Tae’s reproaches to Gang Tae showed how hard it must be for any parent or carer of an autistic person, harder than i had ever realised. I thought a show that could show right from the start this difficult moment with such care and clarity was obviously made by creatives of high standard. And so the rest of the series proved, tackling issues of mental health without shirking or sugar-coating; “It’s okay to not be okay” is one of the great achievements in television, imo.
It's okay not to be okay' is such a golden masterpiece
"Goblin"and "It's ok to not be ok" heart touching drama ❤️
Ohh my faves
Its okay to not be okay is class apart.. brave and neat storytelling.. gripping course..beautiful scripting..wonderful cinematography..from locations to costumes to food to the tiniest details..everything is so perfect for the drama.. how the characters are all connected withh each other at the same time detached at times is so beautiful..
The acting is exceptional..the emotions portrayed are spot on..it gets conveyed so wonderfully that i don’t have words to explain.. Sang tae is so believable and he never overdid it even for a bit.. i havent seen anybody like KSH who can convincingly make you cry..! All the cast deserves special mentions.. such a wonderful drama..!!
Am glad Netflix did this to us kdrama fans 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
“It’s Okay to Not to be Okay” & “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” are perfection. I can rewatch them endlessly and nothing else compares, I’m still not over them🥺
Mr. Sunshine left me completely depressed and heartbroken 😭
Me too...I cried and I hate the ending
I loved every episode. I laughed I cried and watched the entire series about 5 times.
The ending is too tragic. It was really good but left me heart broken. How can they kill all of them! Damn!
Itaewon class !!!!! Honestly left a huge impact on me compared to other Kdramas, a lot of life lessons and the slow burn love story ♥️ I loved it beginning to end
Yess I loved this drama and watched it 3 time in a row !! I loved the female lead too because she wasn't the typical drama girl who can't do nothing without the male lead

Something In The Rain made me almost have faith in love again. It was so beautiful and the actors were brilliant.
They might not be the best, but Kill Me, Heal Me and It’s Okay, That’s Love are two amazing dramas, especially in the acting department.
Right, Kill Me Heal Me should have made into the list!
It's Okay That's Love was fantastic!
Kill me, Heal me is a great drama, but the misleading representation of DiD and the female lead making very questionable decisions as a doctor just threw me off..

Itaewon Class & Crash Landing on you will forever be in my heart. I always thought k-dramas were too cheesy but these shows had higher meanings than most tv shows.
So is no one going to talk about Strong Woman Do Bong Soon? That one was epic.
its a good drama but it was cliche and the endingdam i cringed tbh buttt i liked thdrama

It's good but it doesn't set any standard.

It's what introduced me to kdramas and i'm thankful 😁
The fact that itaewon class, extracuricular and whats wrong with secretary Kim wasn't even mentioned her... Makes me think I have a different taste, and it feels like the one who made the list really loves ancient stuffs with magic/mystery just to make the story interesting. Not a cup of my tea since not real or not possible things doesnt really get my empathy
I adored What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.
Some of those dramas are not my style either. I really didn't get why everyone was all over goblin even though I watched it too id say what's wrong with secretary Kim was so much nicer lol
@@stephsica I'm watching fight my way and at ep14... Honestly shows like this, that shows actual relationship and circumstances makes me love the shows. I'm not saying the shows should be 100% realistic but I just can't take show seriously with a people who lives 1000 yrs and date a 20+ Yr old. Or ancient times with kings legally having 10 wife. Or monsters, just to make the show have plot...
What's Wrong with Secretary Kim was a romcom, probably that's why isn't considered one of the "best" dramas.
But Itaewon Class surely deserved a place in this list if it was meant to be an unbiased one.

everyone here in the comment section is literally talking about “its okay to not be okay”, i know its one of the best dramas to exist but are we not gonna talk about how “crash landing on you” made such a big impact to the korean drama world? like this drama is one of the reasons why more people started to watch k dramas already (like me)
I started watching Kdramas recently and CLOY was my first one, then I watched IOTNBO right after. I love both those dramas for different reasons and they're special in their own way. But if a gun was pointed to my head and I had to pick between the two, then I would choose "Crash Landing on You" as the better one, IMO. CLOY was emotionally more impactful for me ... basically I cried more haha. I think IOTNBO gets a lot of love now because it's the more recent drama between the two, it has a strong female lead, and is highly relatable. Both at the end of the day are amazing!

I also believe that "My mister" should be in this video. It is a very good drama dealing with true social problems that everyone can identify with. And the script is soooo good ! The actors are very talented and make us feel empathetic towards the characters. All the scenes and small talks are important and relevant for the understanding of the story. Every small details have an impact on the story line. I cried a lot and I’m still not over it yet. I also liked it bc it’s getting out of the typical Korean drama cliches where you have a charming rich guy saving the poor cute girl from her miserable life.
I strongly recommend this drama !
It most definitely is a must watch!
